Pictures on the site are very deceptive. The maintenance is definitely behind - pool is non functional and the grounds and rooms are very dated. The shower in our room was clean but very stained and low pressure. The couch looked terrible and was very uncomfortable to sit on. The bed was firm and comfortable. Can't add photos but i have many of them to back up my experience.

It was old and the pool was 'closed', really?? At the start of summer?? We had a 10yr old with us, and because they were too cheap to fix the pool for the amount of money they charge, we left ...we did not stay there. Flies were everywherd in the 'check in desk area' and you had to call a number to get someone to help you. Ridiculous!!

First, the good. The guy at the front desk was so polite and kind, made good conversation and drove to the front as soon as we called to check in. The wall unit had also been updated so you control it from a thermostat on the wall instead of on the unit itself like you used to. There is also a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast is what you would expect: cereal, fruit, waffles, toast, and coffee. It's a single level hotel so you park right in front of your door (though you don't have a window to see your car). The bad: the hotel is older so there are definitely some things they could work on. There was obvious water damage on the baseboard all the way around the room. The sink was cracked and the shower had so much buildup on the walls that I had to wash my hands after touching it. I didn't shower because the shower head and fixtures in the shower were rusted, I didn't trust that the water touching me would be clean. The mirror had not been cleaned recently. The hair dryer was just barely attached to the wall. I picked up the mini shampoo and there was someone else's hair under it. There were popcorn kernels on the pull-out couch. There were at least 20 dead bumblebees between the two panes of glass looking outside and an active bald-faced hornets nest right outside our door, though they left us alone. The pool was closed and drained. The tv, though it was a big screen, had a blurry picture and the TV channel guide did not match the actual channels.

I didn't expect a luxury stay when we chose econolodge, but this was more disappointing than anticipated. We stayed here last year, too for the same reason- close to Chincoteague and more affordable. The room was in our condition and the pool was closed. We were told the rooms were being renovated and the pool was being repaired. Fast forward to this year and the pool was still being repaired and the room we had this year wasn't renovated. When we got to the room, we found it already inhabited by several flies. It smelled musty, and it looked run down. The curtain was askew and there was a large rust spot in the bathtub to name a few issues. The door to the room had to be forcefully pushed or kicked open because it stuck. We also had to chase a large Palmetto bug around the room one night because it scurried behind the headboard and I couldn't sleep knowing it was back there. The property itself also looks rundown. The "continental" breakfast was nothing but sugary options. The best part of the stay was the friendly and helpful man at the front desk when we checked in. I regret not remembering his name. But when housekeeping didn't bring us extra towels he got some for us. He also immediately brought a new remote for the TV when we discovered ours didn't work. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring us back to this location.

This particular Econo Lodge was terribly dirty, we found old socks under our mattress, wiping the desk and nightstand upon arrival with paper towels, it came back black with dirt/grime. The shower had soap scum piled onto handle and spout. The shower turned on, but did not drain. The staff made sure to give us other room keys so we could shower each day, but it was very inconvenient, and each shower was just as dirty as the first. However, the second day we went to shower in the second room they gave us, we went to open the door, and the room had been given to someone else overnight and our key had not been deactivated, so we opened the door on someone else!!! There were multiple flies in the room when we first entered it, but Thankfully no other bugs/creatures were found during our stay, besides the shy motel kitty. Listing also said there would be a pool, but it was empty and unusable our entire stay. My boyfriend did spent more time on the property than I did, and said the staff was pleasant to deal with. Overall, 4/10 experience.

The property was dirty with overflowing garbage cans. The swimming pool was empty. The rooms had limited towels and dirty walls. Paint was chipping off everywhere. There was a spider dropping down from the ceiling and the sheets were sticky. There was an exorbitant fee for my dogs $50 each. This was not on the website and when we called to inquire about dogs, the person on the phone said it would be $25. We were very glad to leave this place.

The fixtures in the bathroom were rusted, there were flies in the room, we killed 4. The breakfast that was supposed to come with the room rate were non-existant. They decided to spray tar to redo the parking lot during our stay. It did not dry and we ruined several pairs of shoes. The pool was grimy and green. The doors did not feel that they were securely closed. We just didn't feel safe. Definitely do not recommend this hotel

When we arrived at our room it was filthy! Microwave was filthy, bathroom wasn’t clean and there were roaches everywhere! We flagged down a maid who came in and cleaned it for us. Norma was her name and she was the best part of our stay, she checked on us every day to see if we needed anything, gave us tips on what to do on our stay and was just super friendly. They told us they came in and sprayed for the roaches but we continued to kill at least 10 a day. Would never stay here again and not sure how they are allowed to operate this way. There was a pool but we did not allow the kids to get in it for not knowing how clean and safe it was!

It was a terrible experience for us. The bathroom was moldy and had a very strong, unpleasant smell. This place clearly needs a full renovation and proper cleaning. It’s unacceptable to charge people money while offering such poor conditions. They post nice pictures on the booking site, but the reality is completely different—and much worse. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We forgot to take a picture. We couldn’t stand there even 1 min. We just walked in and out .

Nothing at all like the pictures. The refrigerator is disgusting and rusted inside, the microwave is old and very stained , the bathtub is stained and the fixtures are corroded and rusty!!!! Ants in the bed . 0/10 Do not recommend!!!!!

It is obvious that this hotel does NOT care about it's cleanliness. Comforters had burned holes and were very dirty, shower had hair in it. The smell of the room was atrocious. My clothes had to washed the next day because the smell lingered. It was a musty, moldy, smell. It would have been cleaner and better to sleep in my car.... Which I should've done. Upon checkout, they didn't ask how everything was, because I'm sure they know. Not worth the money spent.

The motel is very old and smelled like it too. But we were just passing by and needed a place to sleep. Surprisingly the bed and pillows were fantastic. I actually slept really well and wasn’t ready to leave. Staff was friendly.

I do not recommend staying here the room was very out dated, smelt bad, the bed was caved in slightly , hard as a rock, had a hole in it. The pictures online doesn't match how it actually looks.

This motel is in the right location for someone who wants a stopping point between Ocean City/Assateague and Chincoteague. It's being renovated, so some minor work may remain to be done (May 2024), but overall the room is in good condition. There's some highway noise at night, but I was able to fall asleep.

Enjoyed my stay ! Loved that we were away from everything. A couples trip. A few things was the rust or dirt on the tub floor was a bit scary looking like blood washed down the drain. The shower knob hadnt been cleaned in months, the tub drain was rusted. We brought our xbox and found out that when you plugged it in , there was no sound. Wasnt our xbox issue cause since were home it works fine. We think it to be the hotel tv settings. The bed was super soft and comfy. The a/c wouldnt blow into the room well cause of the curtains hanging over it so I used a hair tie to tie the curtains up so the room would cool. Overall good stay in pocomoke city and will be back.

The room was in need of serious upgrades. Door to cabinet missing. Wallpaper peeling and dingy, all doors and repairs very shabby. Bed reasonably comfortable and were sheets clean. WiFi kept logging out when you were in the room trying to use it. Furniture very outdated and old. Room smelled of strong bleach. They did allow dogs with a fee. Issues with inaccurate charges which we are still working on to hopefully a satisfactory resolution.

I didn't expect a luxury stay when we chose econolodge, but this was more disappointing than anticipated. We stayed here last year, too for the same reason- close to Chincoteague and more affordable. The room was in our condition and the pool was closed. We were told the rooms were being renovated and the pool was being repaired. Fast forward to this year and the pool was still being repaired and the room we had this year wasn't renovated. When we got to the room, we found it already inhabited by several flies. It smelled musty, and it looked run down. The curtain was askew and there was a large rust spot in the bathtub to name a few issues. The door to the room had to be forcefully pushed or kicked open because it stuck. We also had to chase a large Palmetto bug around the room one night because it scurried behind the headboard and I couldn't sleep knowing it was back there. The property itself also looks rundown. The "continental" breakfast was nothing but sugary options. The best part of the stay was the friendly and helpful man at the front desk when we checked in. I regret not remembering his name. But when housekeeping didn't bring us extra towels he got some for us. He also immediately brought a new remote for the TV when we discovered ours didn't work. Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring us back to this location.

The motel is very old and smelled like it too. But we were just passing by and needed a place to sleep. Surprisingly the bed and pillows were fantastic. I actually slept really well and wasn’t ready to leave. Staff was friendly.

It was nice. It was clean enough. The sheets smelled decent. We stayed one night, got ready for a religious meeting, and ate breakfast. It was nothing great but was very sufficient for our needs. I would definitely stay there again, especially for a beach or Chincoteague trip. Staff were delightful and very knowledgeable about the history and area

We were disappointed by our stay here. Our room looked/felt unclean (there was a stain on the sheet of one of the beds(, the floor felt dirty, and the room smelled musty. The housekeeper didn't bother to come and tidy our room at all. The breakfast was meager. I will say the location was convenient because we were going to the Pony Swim on Chincoteague and the gentleman who checked us in/out was very friendly and welcoming.

This motel is in the right location for someone who wants a stopping point between Ocean City/Assateague and Chincoteague. It's being renovated, so some minor work may remain to be done (May 2024), but overall the room is in good condition. There's some highway noise at night, but I was able to fall asleep.

Poor all the way around. Pulled up to the location and decided not to check in. It felt completely unsafe and dirty. I had my daughter so I didn’t want to take any chances. I lost my money since there were no refunds, but better safe than sorry! Never again….

Gross overpriced hotel on side of Highway. Not close to anything in town or walkable. Rooms filled with bugs. No amenities. Dirty towels and sheets. Property very dirty with trash everywhere. Not worth the money.

Front staff was amazing. Very accommodating. The room was nice but smelled a bit musty. Could have been cleaned more as there was a bottle cap and dead fly on the floor. Perhaps invest in fly traps as the fly who decided to room with us was a nuisance and tricky enough not to get swatted. Bathroom door did not close all the way but that didn’t bother us. Water pressure was great. Property area is maintained nicely. Breakfast options were surprisingly good and in a clean and welcoming area. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There are some rusted areas but it is much improved from my last visit here around Covid time. New management and I can see the positive difference.

First, the good. The guy at the front desk was so polite and kind, made good conversation and drove to the front as soon as we called to check in. The wall unit had also been updated so you control it from a thermostat on the wall instead of on the unit itself like you used to. There is also a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast is what you would expect: cereal, fruit, waffles, toast, and coffee. It's a single level hotel so you park right in front of your door (though you don't have a window to see your car). The bad: the hotel is older so there are definitely some things they could work on. There was obvious water damage on the baseboard all the way around the room. The sink was cracked and the shower had so much buildup on the walls that I had to wash my hands after touching it. I didn't shower because the shower head and fixtures in the shower were rusted, I didn't trust that the water touching me would be clean. The mirror had not been cleaned recently. The hair dryer was just barely attached to the wall. I picked up the mini shampoo and there was someone else's hair under it. There were popcorn kernels on the pull-out couch. There were at least 20 dead bumblebees between the two panes of glass looking outside and an active bald-faced hornets nest right outside our door, though they left us alone. The pool was closed and drained. The tv, though it was a big screen, had a blurry picture and the TV channel guide did not match the actual channels.

The Nerve of them to charge 150.00 for a room that smell like dog and Marijuana the bathroom was nasty they painted over a hole in the tub the handle to the shower was broken and rusted cigarettes burns all over the place .then at night all I heard was arguing from the people next door to me this was the nastiest room I have ever been in and will never stay there again the room was only worth 50 dollars

The place was horrible. The Bb was broken. The room smells like muddy mode. Corey, I had it to ask one of the workers to give me some air. Refresh smell, really bad hose in the world, rust and leak in the bathtub. They need to update the pictures online. No way close to the picture. They promote online. Seems like they use for homeless people to live don’t go I had it to take a shower with my Shoes on. I did not leave because I’m not from the area, so I stood the night and be booked someplace else.hole in the wall out of the where the light turned off.i had to go to the office to get turn back on bed so bad don’t go they was a men walk around the ares all day

The rooms where in poor condition i when and brought my own lien and bedding of my family was stuck there to and it was 25 minutes from the wedding that was about to start I would have left the only good thing was the staff and pool. Later that night we found rotten fruit in a drawer and we all 3 rooms where full of flies . They should've paid for the room
