This was a very decent motel. I stayed 2 nights. The room was a little beat up but pretty clean, the bed was better than I expected, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked clean. The building was quiet and located in a nice area. There was some food and a convenience store in very short walking distance. Cell service wasn’t great but they have WiFi good enough for uninterrupted streaming.

There was a dirty towel in the bathroom. The bed covering didn't look very clean. One of the chairs in the room had torn upholstery. The room was large and had adequate storage space. It was close to restaurants and shopping. It was in a nicer area of Whittier. The bed was comfortable.

We had a pleasant stay at the Friendly Hills Inn. While this property is older it has been nicely updated and is attractive. Our room was clean and comfortable. There were a few minor scuffs on furniture but everything was sturdy. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in our room. Towels were clean and plentiful. Our bed was comfortable, sheets and bedding were clean. Plenty of hot water and it was quiet as the property doesn't face directly onto the street. The check-in experience was nice and all the staff were kind. We stayed for three nights and would return again!

DONT COME HERE ITS **FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!** The Rooms smells of mold/old water/musk smell, stains in the bed and towels, every towel even the new ones we asked for was stained we also asked for new bedding and it also was stained with either oil or something sticky it was gross i planned a trip for 2 nights only stayed the one left ASAP (because it was late) they dont offer refunds if booked trough hotels.com or some other 3rd party site so beware. ** DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH A NAME BRAND**.

We had a generously sized room with two queen beds, a table with 2 chairs, still leaving room to walk around, with plenty of storage room. Shower was also spacious. All decor and fixtures were updated and fresh. Room was very quiet, even when at full occupancy. Very comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. There were 4 pillows on each bed to start! No need to ask for extras! Perfect accommodations!

First off, i really appreciated the staff for helping me out by switching my room for me when i had an issue with the first one that was given to me. Very happy with that detail. The room i had after was nice, clean and didnt smell like cigarette smoke. The furniture and color scheme of the room was very nice.

Lady at check in desk was extremely condescending and snarky. When confirming my reservation through Expedia she continually said “it’s a pay at property” when asking questions regarding the procedure for charging my card etc, she replied “it’s a pay at property, what don’t you understand about this?” Traveling is exhausting enough, to have a staff member welcome you with curt responses rather than a welcoming attitude just tarnished the whole experience at the property

Unlike other inns/motels in the area, the Inn seemed relatively safe from some of the urban/suburban ills that are found in many parts of SoCal. Then Inn is situated on a stretch of Whittier Blvd. which is a business and resident friendly neighborhood. Highly recommended!

This was a very decent motel. I stayed 2 nights. The room was a little beat up but pretty clean, the bed was better than I expected, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked clean. The building was quiet and located in a nice area. There was some food and a convenience store in very short walking distance. Cell service wasn’t great but they have WiFi good enough for uninterrupted streaming.

This family run establishment is well-kept and one of the few well-priced hotels in the greater Whittier area. Rooms are nicely remodeled and stocked with appropriate items. Hot water is abundant! Staff quickly addressed requests. Nice that the windows opened to get fresh air in the mornings. Noise much less than some hotels down in Buena Park and Friendly Hills Inn is 1/2 the cost. Nice sized fridge. Close to Whittier College and Biola University! Close to Big and Little Norm’s locations, yum!

Friendly Hills Inn is a great property that is quiet and fairly priced. Our bed wasn't the greatest, but our room was spacious. There is a fabulous restaurant in the front of the property that is a must!

Overall decent place to stay. Very clean and nice and clean decor, it looks likw ot was recently upgraded. I like that their arent too mamy rooms so it wasnt iver crowded and I heard good reviews on thw restaurant next door within walking distance. I wouod stay again.

The place is comfy and clean. It is a quiet neighborhood. There's not much dinning options within a walking distance. The rooms are spacious and modernly refurbished. I didn't like the fact that it does not have a toilet in the common areas

It was my 1st time staying there. The stay was pleasant. The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. The staff was super nice. I'd definitely recommend it here

I feel like this stay was a bait and switch as my room wasn't anything like to nice photos on Hotels.com. The room was clean, but very plain and outdated and nothing like the photos listed online. I chatted with someone online at Hotels.com about this and I was told that there was noting they could do since I checked in already. How would I know that the room wasn't anything like the photos in the listing unless I checked in. The TV had no channels available. Only streaming services that were not hooked-up so fortunately for me, I have YouTubeTV and was able to log-in. For what the room cost, they should have had local channels at the minimum. Again, the room was clean, but not what was advertised. I'll think twice about using Hotels.com in the future as they didn't have my back on this.

It was an okay stay. Room wasn’t properly cleaned. Free parking enough space. Staff is friendly. I would stay again just would check in earlier I felt unsafe in the room I was in. Also something was in my room because I got bit a couple of times. Maybe a mosquito.

Super friendly staff and very clean room and pool. My kids loved getting to swim pretty much whenever they wanted! And the a/c worked great
