A little gem in a charming town. The house is immaculate with sitting areas, coffee and tea available any time, and beautifully appointed rooms. Walking distance to many restaurants. Only disappointment was the tv - could not access cable news channels, but that was minor.

What a perfect, charming, fun find. We were just passing through, so unfortunately didn't get to stay longer. From the robes and fireplace in the room to water, tea, coffee and snacks always available in the kitchen, it really felt like staying in someone's home, not a hotel. Highly recommend and next time we will stay longer.

This house is gorgeous! Very high ceilings, large and gracious rooms. Our room had a large hearth with a gas fireplace in it! William Morris wallpaper and matching curtains. The food was just so-so, but we were aware that it did not include a huge breakfast, so we were not disappointed. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was very nice. The living room and dining room are stunning, and the back garden is lovely, although it was very cold and wintry out.

It was such a pleasant stay! I called a few days ahead to make sure I could check in after 7pm, and Sanee was very friendly and put my mind at ease. She even prepared a custom breakfast for us based on dietary restrictions. The property and common areas are very nice, and the kitchen was open for a late night tea and snack, and she also had dairy-free creamer. The room was very nice with clean towels, sheets, super comfortable pillows. The bed and floors were a little creaky, but it’s a more historic place, so I was’t surprised. We didn’t explore much of the town, but the parking in front was easy and the walk to the waterfront was very pleasant. I’d recommend The Lily Inn for a very nice B&B experience with great customer service!

I really enjoyed my 1-night stay. It was in celebration of my birthday. Self check-in was seamless. The accommodations were charming, only a block away from the park and water. If you're a single female like myself (and you will be out late), just account for needing to walk a minute from the free parking to the Inn. Breakfast was amazing, and I really appreciate the owner accommodating that I don't eat pork. I will be back sooner rather than later since when my kids saw the picture of my breakfast they said they want to go here!

This hotel is a gem tucked away in Burlington. We wanted to stay somewhere half way between DC and NYC and this little town really fit the bill. The bed was very comfortable and rooms large and well appointed. The backyard was inviting. Breakfast overlooking the backyard was great.

Beautifully decorated and wonderful, friendly staff. We felt at home right away. Breakfast was great and served by a warm, kind staff member. There were plenty of snacks throughout the day. There are a lot of comfortable places to relax outside your room as well. The backyard and garden are stunning. We had coffee outside each morning. The Lily Inn is close to the riverwalk, as well as restaurants, pubs, pizza, coffee shops, and a great place for ice cream. We can't wait to go back.

We didn't interact with anyone during our 1 night stay, we arrived late, used the door code provided to check in. Had a package arrive before us which was placed in the room. Room was cold when we arrived but quickly warmed up with the electric space heater.

This was one of the nicest, cleanest and most comfortable Airbnb we've ever stayed. The morning breakfast was excellent with several options. Sanee was easy to work with even with our last minute reservation changes. Housekeeping staff was extremely accommodating. The rooms were big with lovely furniture and very comfortable beds. We loved the coffee maker which is always available and the daily snacks. The location was very walkable with free and easy parking closeby. Restaurants are excellent with live music across the street of interested. Loved the Lilly Inn!! No reason to stay anywhere else.

We arrived late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the quaint, quiet town Lily Inn is located in. It was an easy process to get into our room although the light switch didn’t work and we had to use the flashlight on our phone to walk into the room and find another lamp. I’m guessing it was a breaker that had flipped since it was an old building and there was a similar issue with the outlets along one wall in the dining room the next morning. The breakfast was excellent and included. The staff was very kind and polite. Overall the room was very clean and beautifully decorated with antique furniture and decor. The walls were on the thin side, but par for the course in an older building. The bathrooms were renovated and clean. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable although there was a little bit of a squeak to the bed frame getting in and out of the bed. I would highly recommend this place and will return if in the area again.

Beautifully furnished inn that was quiet and clean. Modern well appointed bath was a plus. The back garden is lovely too. No hot breakfast was served; it was more like an express grab-and-go offering. There is a nice coffee shop across the street that fills the gap.

Candace made us feel so welcome and was very understanding when it came to our young son's dietary restrictions at breakfast. The room and common areas were clean but a fresh set of towels for each day would have been a plus. The surrounding area did not have much to offer after we came back to the room after spending all day out. Not many places were open and the few places that were, including a restaurant, was mediocre at best. Overall, we like the old charm of the place and Candace was awesome.

I will preface this by saying I’ve never stayed in a B&B before; However, if I’m ever remotely close by, I will definitely be back. Booked a couple nights for a business trip, and they were understanding and accommodating when I arrived later than expected. The rooms were lovely. Very clean and homey. The wifi is consistent and fast. They provide snacks and drinks for all guests in the mini fridge in the kitchen downstairs. Breakfast was great and made fresh once you come downstairs and decide what you would like. The location is safe and there are several parking spots conveniently located in front of the building. They also have parking in a lot close by as well. It’s close to many local shops and restaurants. Everyone was very kind and gracious, exactly how you would expect from a B&B. It’s the type of place once you go out for the day to work or explore, you are excited to come back to.

It was easy to find and parking right outside. Code to get in. Very old antique home, very charming. Room was ok. Sticky floors seems just too much floor cleaner used. Bathroom was old, cracked tiles, gunk on shower head. Towels were musty. No water to drink other then using the bathroom tap. No coffee pods in tray. Bed soft was comfy for me. Breakfast was ok… the usual, eggs, sausage, bread, juice and coffee that was a bit weak. All in all it served its purpose.

The Lily is very clean. The furnishings are wonderful antique and the artwork that adorns the walls adds such a warm feel to an already gorgeous B&B. A very sort walk to beautiful views of the river and the Riverview Tavern across from he street has great food and drinks at affordable (but not cheap), prices. The Lily is very clean, very comfortable, and thoroughly relaxing. The only negative in my mind is that they no longer do hot breakfasts on weekdays. However, there are good breakfast options in the area. I chose Amy”s, which is the former Burlington Diner back in the 60”s when I was a kid. It’s worth a 4 or 5 block drive from The Lily.

We really enjoyed our stay in the city and at the Lily Inn. It’s a beautiful place and the location, on the main avenue and close to the river, was perfect. We truly felt pampered with robes available. The only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was the fact that the bed was so high. We had to use steps to get into it. I have had my knees operated on, and I was very concerned for my safety if I had to get up in the middle of the night. We would definitely stay here again, but we would request a room with a lower bed.

I will preface this by saying I’ve never stayed in a B&B before; However, if I’m ever remotely close by, I will definitely be back. Booked a couple nights for a business trip, and they were understanding and accommodating when I arrived later than expected. The rooms were lovely. Very clean and homey. The wifi is consistent and fast. They provide snacks and drinks for all guests in the mini fridge in the kitchen downstairs. Breakfast was great and made fresh once you come downstairs and decide what you would like. The location is safe and there are several parking spots conveniently located in front of the building. They also have parking in a lot close by as well. It’s close to many local shops and restaurants. Everyone was very kind and gracious, exactly how you would expect from a B&B. It’s the type of place once you go out for the day to work or explore, you are excited to come back to.

This house is gorgeous! Very high ceilings, large and gracious rooms. Our room had a large hearth with a gas fireplace in it! William Morris wallpaper and matching curtains. The food was just so-so, but we were aware that it did not include a huge breakfast, so we were not disappointed. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was very nice. The living room and dining room are stunning, and the back garden is lovely, although it was very cold and wintry out.

The food was just so-so, but we were aware that it did not include a huge breakfast, so we were not disappointed. The bed was comfy, and the bathroom was very nice. The living room and dining room are stunning, and the back garden is lovely, although it was very cold and wintry out.

Very nice property but staying on the 3rd floor was challenging. The bathroom had a jacuzzi with a hand held shower which was not great . Getting into the tub was challenging. Mattress was not firm enough. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.

We didn't interact with anyone during our 1 night stay, we arrived late, used the door code provided to check in. Had a package arrive before us which was placed in the room. Room was cold when we arrived but quickly warmed up with the electric space heater.

This place was so amazing and Candace was so nice, friendly, and efficient. I locked myself out (on the first day 😭) and she came and helped me in less than 5 minutes of me calling her! The beds were the MOST comfortable beds I have slept in in a while! And the claw-foot tub was awesome! Be aware that it is metal so if you take a bath, it gets cold pretty quickly. Now the breakfast... So Good! We got to meet the other people staying at the inn, which was very cool, and the food was really delicious. Eggs, bacon (really crispy and yummy... My favorite!), biscuits, and fruit and good juice! Highly recommended for your next stay! Thank you!

We didn’t get the email with access details as we should have, so we couldn’t get in the building for a while. We tried the phone numbers posted on the door but no one answered initially. We left messages but no one called back. Eventually, someone answered one of the numbers and came to let us inside. Once we did get in, we couldn’t find the key to the room. Candace was very helpful and helped us get in, but she didn’t seem to know about our reservation. The breakfast on the first morning was lacking. There were bagels but no spreads/cream cheese/butter. There was juice and water but no glasses. There was coffee but no options for tea. Other than the bagels, there was yoghurt, muffins and fruit. Breakfast on the second day was non-existent. We were told breakfast was between 8am and 9am. We went down within that time but there was no food out and no one around to ask. Not what you expect from a bed and breakfast. There was no cleaning service, so our trash was not collected and beds were not made on any of the 3 days we stayed there. The Lily Inn is a gorgeous building; we stayed here earlier in the year and had a much better experience, which included a welcome to the inn and a hot breakfast, so we didn’t hesitate to stay here again but this time we had a very different, and disappointing experience.

We arrived late in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the quaint, quiet town Lily Inn is located in. It was an easy process to get into our room although the light switch didn’t work and we had to use the flashlight on our phone to walk into the room and find another lamp. I’m guessing it was a breaker that had flipped since it was an old building and there was a similar issue with the outlets along one wall in the dining room the next morning. The breakfast was excellent and included. The staff was very kind and polite. Overall the room was very clean and beautifully decorated with antique furniture and decor. The walls were on the thin side, but par for the course in an older building. The bathrooms were renovated and clean. The mattress and pillows were super comfortable although there was a little bit of a squeak to the bed frame getting in and out of the bed. I would highly recommend this place and will return if in the area again.

It was such a pleasant stay! I called a few days ahead to make sure I could check in after 7pm, and Sanee was very friendly and put my mind at ease. She even prepared a custom breakfast for us based on dietary restrictions. The property and common areas are very nice, and the kitchen was open for a late night tea and snack, and she also had dairy-free creamer. The room was very nice with clean towels, sheets, super comfortable pillows. The bed and floors were a little creaky, but it’s a more historic place, so I was’t surprised. We didn’t explore much of the town, but the parking in front was easy and the walk to the waterfront was very pleasant. I’d recommend The Lily Inn for a very nice B&B experience with great customer service!

I really enjoyed my 1-night stay. It was in celebration of my birthday. Self check-in was seamless. The accommodations were charming, only a block away from the park and water. If you're a single female like myself (and you will be out late), just account for needing to walk a minute from the free parking to the Inn. Breakfast was amazing, and I really appreciate the owner accommodating that I don't eat pork. I will be back sooner rather than later since when my kids saw the picture of my breakfast they said they want to go here!

What a pleasant surprise to find The Lily Inn and Burlington, NJ! In trying to find a "halfway" point between Maine and North Carolina, I landed on this area and very randomly chose this town. It may have ended up being one of our favorite spots during our week long trip! The Lily Inn is well maintained, clean, and had wonderful character! Sanee was friendly and helpful -- and made a wonderful breakfast! Will definitely consider returning!

We really enjoyed our stay in the city and at the Lily Inn. It’s a beautiful place and the location, on the main avenue and close to the river, was perfect. We truly felt pampered with robes available. The only thing that was slightly uncomfortable was the fact that the bed was so high. We had to use steps to get into it. I have had my knees operated on, and I was very concerned for my safety if I had to get up in the middle of the night. We would definitely stay here again, but we would request a room with a lower bed.

Candace made us feel so welcome and was very understanding when it came to our young son's dietary restrictions at breakfast. The room and common areas were clean but a fresh set of towels for each day would have been a plus. The surrounding area did not have much to offer after we came back to the room after spending all day out. Not many places were open and the few places that were, including a restaurant, was mediocre at best. Overall, we like the old charm of the place and Candace was awesome.

This hotel is a gem tucked away in Burlington. We wanted to stay somewhere half way between DC and NYC and this little town really fit the bill. The bed was very comfortable and rooms large and well appointed. The backyard was inviting. Breakfast overlooking the backyard was great.

Amazing place to stay. Gorgeous building, very clean, excellent rooms. The kitchen area is awesome. The staff was very accommodating. The Riverview Restaurant across the street has the best steak and a nice bar area. I was also impressed by the location, with many historical buildings.

Beautifully decorated and wonderful, friendly staff. We felt at home right away. Breakfast was great and served by a warm, kind staff member. There were plenty of snacks throughout the day. There are a lot of comfortable places to relax outside your room as well. The backyard and garden are stunning. We had coffee outside each morning. The Lily Inn is close to the riverwalk, as well as restaurants, pubs, pizza, coffee shops, and a great place for ice cream. We can't wait to go back.

It was easy to find and parking right outside. Code to get in. Very old antique home, very charming. Room was ok. Sticky floors seems just too much floor cleaner used. Bathroom was old, cracked tiles, gunk on shower head. Towels were musty. No water to drink other then using the bathroom tap. No coffee pods in tray. Bed soft was comfy for me. Breakfast was amazing, and I really appreciate the owner accommodating that I don't eat pork. I will be back sooner rather than later since when my kids saw the picture of my breakfast they said they want to go here!
I really enjoyed my 1-night stay. It was in celebration of my birthday. Self check-in was seamless. The accommodations were charming, only a block away from the park and water. The property is beautiful, quaint in a pre- civil war style, charming, and clean. You are given a code to enter but no one greets you, it was empty and dark inside when we arrived- like an AirBnB that way. The blankets were extremely thin especially given it was below freezing weather outside- no down or down alternatives on the beds, just very thin blankets. I had to text the manager to find more blankets and even then there was only one in the closet- even though we were two guests using the two separate beds which we had booked. The breakfast was bare bones, unappetizing, and was served late- we had to go looking for the person supposed to be preparing it.

The Lily is very clean. The furnishings are wonderful antique and the artwork that adorns the walls adds such a warm feel to an already gorgeous B&B. A very sort walk to beautiful views of the river and the Riverview Tavern across from he street has great food and drinks at affordable (but not cheap), prices. The Lily is very clean, very comfortable, and thoroughly relaxing. The only negative in my mind is that they no longer do hot breakfasts on weekdays. However, there are good breakfast options in the area. I chose Amy”s, which is the former Burlington Diner back in the 60”s when I was a kid. It’s worth a 4 or 5 block drive from The Lily.

Nice place, dated but it has charming character. The coffee and water in the kitchen are a nice added benefit. We thought breakfast was provided “daily”, but we toasted a bagel and had coffee alone. It is sad the town doesn’t have a little more to offer - it could have a neat small town charm to it.

Very nice b and b in a cute town Room was very nice although they should advise that our room had no tv There was a tv in a community room across the hall They were very accommodating as they let us check in early as we had a wedding to get ready for in Philly Coffee was great as was breakfast

Beautiful breakfast at this very old hotel built in 1716. It was like walking back in history. Narrow staircases. Clean rooms. Staff were all very nice!

Come down to an empty dining room with empty table. Handed plates with cold rubbery eggs, cold turkey bacon. Bagels with no spreads. Make your own coffee or tea, had to wait for utensils. Not a lot open in the area, mostly empty storefronts.
