We have stayed here before and were glad to return. The elevator down to our room which was beachside is perfect for my husband who has mobility issues. Also walk in shower in our room. Dishes made it nice to be able to either sit inside or outside and have breaky or lunch.

Nice place, very family friendly. Beachfront with easy access. We enjoyed the pool, and hot-tub. Next time I would book a ground floor condo, to have sliding door access to the grass field. Great for the kiddos. Reasonably priced. I’d go back.

We spent three nights at the resort over the long weekend. The condo was well stocked with everything you may need. The condo was spacious! TV was small and not compatible for streaming. The office had dvd’s to borrow. The pool and grounds are well kept. Bunny rabbits running around for your enjoyment! Family oriented place. The staff were friendly and non intrusive.

I liked this property so close to beach access for daily walks while tide was out and in. It was easy access as we had a car rented. The pool was not yet open and would have been inconvenient if we had our grandchildren with us. it had a well stocked kitchen, good TV to watch play off hockey and front desk restocked items as we ran out ie. coffee,filters,toilet paper,garbage bags

This place was perfect for our family stay. Kids loved the pool, soccer area, space to play games like bocci and frisbee, he beach is wonderful. All he Parksville attractions nearby. The apartment had lots of room for us and nice patio space

Location, peaceful, very pleasant. We had difficulty finding the sauna at night and also had difficulty operating the elevator late at night. Perhaps some additional signage would have helped. I would most definitely stay there again!

It was like we had our own condo at the beach. Lots of room and a beautiful setting. Easy walk to 2 great restaurants. Sitting on the patio was such a pleasure. We got to swim in the pool and the ocean. We were there when it was hot so our only complaint was the fan in the living room needed to be replaced. The bedrooms were cool with fans. Definitely we will stay there again.

Overall the property is quite nice and the views are amazing. It was nice and quiet in the evening. Beautiful view of the sunrise from the deck in the morning. The only thing I would change is add air conditioning, more comfortable beds and maybe a common use grill for the units that didn’t have one.

The property was beautiful right on the ocean with unbeatable views. Unfortunately, the beds in both bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable and made for a sleepless night. We were disappointed that for the price point, we were also asked to take out our own garbage and recycling.

Great location. Only issue for us was a bit noisy first night with multiple families and children right outside are unit making constant noise. Thnoisiest ones left next day and was much more peaceful. Luck of the draw. Beautiful beach clean well equipped unit

This property was not for us. Staff did try to accommodate us, however it just was not what we expected from the pictures and description. It’s an elderly area, we had a bottom floor suite and did not sleep due to footsteps all night above us. We set the smoke detector off heating bread in the toaster. We checked out as soon as the office opened. Staff were understanding and very reasonable.

The views are stunning! The ability to lie in bed in front of a gas fire and at the same time look out the window to the ocean was amazing. If you bring your own dishes and glasses, the kitchenette is fine for snacks and simple meals. We didn’t try the pool or hot tub. The room was in reasonable condition but could use a refresh. Nothing terrible, it’s just a bit tired. There was a fair bit of noise from both next door and upstairs, which was unfortunate. This was our 3rd stay here, twice in the same room. I’d definitely stay again, but will choose a different room if this one hasn’t been updated a bit. It’s also lovely to be right next door to The Cedars restaurant at Tigh Na Mara. Stay here, eat there!

The view is great and the environment is decent. However, we received a call from the hotel staff urging us to check in because they close at 6 PM. This was quite surprising and inconvenient. What if we arrive after 6 PM—do we lose our fully paid booking and can’t check in? This policy makes no sense for a hotel and really affected our overall experience.

This is a true gem! So quiet, so peaceful, so clean. We highly recommend the one bedroom ground floor walk out with unobstructed view of the ocean. Breathtaking views. Stang at the front desk was so helpful - everything was perfect.

Sara at front desk was Bubbly and helpful! Quick check in, explained all we needed to get settled. Our suite was very clean and had all that we needed for our quick getaway with kids. They loved the pool and property. Lots of families and kids having fun. Great family resort, reasonably priced for the season and all the amenities.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Sands. Very clean and well equipped. What a beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The only problem we had is the front door keys would not work properly but the office staff said they were getting someone out right away (the day we left) to fix it. Otherwise I would have given it a 5 star review. I will be coming back again for sure.

Staff was very accommodating and polite. View is amazing with a 2 minute walk to the water. The property is smaller than I imagined but that turned out to be a good thing. Everything is within walking distance on the property. No restaurant on site but lots of options in the area very close by. Would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ocean Sands Resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. We had the opportunity to have a condo with a sliding door right out to the ocean view and a short walk to the beach. There were several rabbits hopping around on the property. There was no restaurant on the premises but several options not far away.

This place was perfect for our family stay. Kids loved the pool, soccer area, space to play games like bocci and frisbee, he beach is wonderful. All he Parksville attractions nearby. The apartment had lots of room for us and nice patio space

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Ocean Sands Resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. We had the opportunity to have a condo with a sliding door right out to the ocean view and a short walk to the beach. There were several rabbits hopping around on the property. There was no restaurant on the premises but several options not far away.

It was like we had our own condo at the beach. Lots of room and a beautiful setting. Easy walk to 2 great restaurants. Sitting on the patio was such a pleasure. We got to swim in the pool and the ocean. We were there when it was hot so our only complaint was the fan in the living room needed to be replaced. The bedrooms were cool with fans. Definitely we will stay there again.

Great family oriented place to stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ground level condo in the fall and it was pretty quiet. Very clean units. Lots of outdoor activities to do in the area (within 30 mins). Staff was very accommodating and polite. View is amazing with a 2 minute walk to the water. The property is smaller than I imagined but that turned out to be a good thing. Everything is within walking distance on the property. No restaurant on site but lots of options in the area very close by. Would stay here again.

I liked this property so close to beach access for daily walks while tide was out and in. It was easy access as we had a car rented. The pool was not yet open and would have been inconvenient if we had our grandchildren with us. it had a well stocked kitchen, good TV to watch play off hockey and front desk restocked items as we ran out ie. coffee,filters,toilet paper,garbage bags

The views are stunning! The ability to lie in bed in front of a gas fire and at the same time look out the window to the ocean was amazing. If you bring your own dishes and glasses, the kitchenette is fine for snacks and simple meals. We didn’t try the pool or hot tub. The room was in reasonable condition but could use a refresh. Nothing terrible, it’s just a bit tired. There was a fair bit of noise from both next door and upstairs, which was unfortunate. This was our 3rd stay here, twice in the same room. I’d definitely stay again, but will choose a different room if this one hasn’t been updated a bit. It’s also lovely to be right next door to The Cedars restaurant at Tigh Na Mara. Stay here, eat there!

Great ocean view! Ground floor unit was spacious and clean. Unfortunately could hear every step from the people in the unit above us. Our time was shoulder season so only hot tub and steam room were available.

Most units are two bedrooms that are owned by folks but our 1-bedroom efficiency unit, although comfortable and clean, was not impecibly decorated. It has a pool and hot tub but we did not use either. Good access to the beach but one has to watch the tides, so be careful.
