Renovated rooms good size. Quiet. Contactless entry by touch screen. Priced good.

The room itself was neat and tidy, with access being given earlier via a code so at no time did we interact with staff. The bathroom area needs an update. The outside of the unit needed some attention. Smokers buckets had quite an accumulation of cigarette in stubs. There was no external lights in the office which made locating the driveway off a busy road difficult at night.

Room was clean and well presented. Didn't like the automatic check in, especially being asked to take a photo of the room code. (Assumes everyone has a suitable phone). Otherwise a comfortable stay.

Good value for money and clean. Good parking for long vehicles available. A bit noisy as is located on main road but that was to be expected. The split system was a bit noisy and kept us awake at night. But overall our experience was good and we would stay there in the future.

Very convenient to get to but a little noisy being on a main road Digital check-in was very cool - once I figured it out!

Be aware there is no reception so check in is via a text message or through the "kiosk " on the wall. Unfortunately, the lughts were pit when i arrived so had to use phone torch to navigate pin codes to gain entry. 2 very old, dirty arm cgairs in room 1 which should be thrown out. Rest of decor was fine. Traffic noise so use ear plugs. Clean comfy bed.

It was the full ash tray buckets outside each room which were smelly and unsightly. I also did not like the self check in service. I am sure this would be handy out of hours but there is NO reception desk / facility in business hours. Luckily there was a staff member nearby when we arrived and he gave us a key to our room. Just felt a bit odd. The room was clean but felt plain and a tad ordinary. Bedding was arranged in a strange manner. Very basic. Only one side of the electric blanket worked on the queen bed staff were apologetic when we told them as we were leaving. Overall, an average accommodation rating.

Rooms were clean bed comfortable & price reasonable but the outside was not very inviting nor there was no reception as such.

Room had a bad strong odour, shower wasn't clean, hair on bedding. Didn't end up staying and checked into another place.

Older motel, but very clean with everything you need for your stay. Staff friendly and helpful.

The best low budget motel i have stayed at in a long time. Low budget doesnt mean dirty and unkept here unlike other low budget motels. This place was spotless! Clean comfy beds and great shower pressure. Will definitely stay again.

It was cheap, but a live cockroach in a drawer (looked like it had lived there a while) and a blocked shower drain are inexcusable. Motel sign not lit up at night. Would not stay there again.

Linen was clean, bathrooms very dirty in both rooms we booked. While living area has been refreshed, the bathrooms were shabby and not properly cleaned, particular floor and shower.

The Elm is good value for money. Its facilities are basic, but it has almost everything that a motel room needs. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and the towels were clean and soft. The only aspect of the room that I found lacking was that there was no 'mesh' curtain on the window so during the day the choice was between the blind being down with no daylight coming in, or the blind being up with full visibility from outside into the room.

The extraction fan in room 2 was not working

Very clean!! But check in was done on touchscreen and there was no reception it felt very unsafe and it was very very noisy due to the 24hour servo next door could hear people outside the room

Surprisingly great! Best sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel/motel. When I pulled up I was immediately concerned. There were multiple people sitting in cars in the driveway smoking and talking.. some sitting outside the cars. Loitering basically. There were about 10plus council wheely bins over flowing with rubbish next to entry. It felt very unsafe for myself and my kids. I had no choice though and had to stay. I proceeded to my room and was pleasantly surprised. New, clean, tidy room. The beds were so so comfortable, fast wifi, shampoo, conditioner, soap dispensers etc. for the price of this room it was really good value for money. If they can hide the rubbish bins from view and do something about the loitering people, it would feel much safer & not give off a crack den hotel vibe on first glance. Also the doors need instructions on how to put in the code. I had no idea it was a digital touch keypad because it didn’t light up till you touched it in the right spot. I had no idea I had to press on it. It just looked like a card pass key system. Luckily a worker had just pulled up in his car & came and helped me.

Floating floor, lifting & separated from entrance to bathroom, if barefoot your skin gets pinched with loose, separated lifting boards as you step on them, found that out after my shower when walking to the bed. Under blanket on bedding is badly pilled & was prickly to sleep on even with 2 sheets over it. I can put up with traffic noise but hardly any sleep due to uncomfy bedding. Your cheap, yes but l will not recommend!! Entrance digital lock assembly needs adjusting as does the door, it is warped over its length and wont latch closed even with h/duty door closer, so you have to slam it to close properly. From a health & safety viewpoint, myself & freind are both pensioners & consider flooring to be dangerous, an accident waiting to happen. Considering you depend on public to use your service in order to generate income you have an obligation to make sure all safety measures are met in compliance with health & safety regulations. A 50% refund might influence me not to take any further action. Unit 6 you need to repair as it unsafe for seniors children & pets with flooring the way it is. It only needs 1 ph call to local OHS inspectors & l dont believe you would want the risk of an accident on your conscience or affect your business. Keep your maintenance rigid & you wont have to worry, let it slip & someone gets injured can have huge consequences. Please repair & set a good standard, Respectfully Anthony.

Room was ok. Noisy from the hwy. Only a dbl bed. Bathroom was tiny. Shower tiny water good wth rain showerhead. 1st night we asked not to make up the room. 2nd night we asked to have the room made up.. didnt get enough towels and the photo is our made up room. Haha

The room was clean but VERY SMALL and very basic without character. The fridge is defective and the shower needs washers - constant dripping. There is NO RECEPTION, only a screen in the wall. Therefore there is also no service.

Room was very clean and had all amenities required for a short stay . However it was consistently very noisy (even throughout the night) from heavy traffic nearby . The shower drained poorly . It was obviously an old style motel that had been renovated . It could be great if the noise issue was addressed- double glazing and acoustic panels on walls perhaps?? On the plus side tarrif was economical, and we could see the owners had made an effort to make it comfortable. Freshly painted ,comfy beds , good heating/cooling .

Stayed 3 days, the unit was very clean, bed comfortable (apart from armchairs which were a bit old & hard). Owner friendly & obliging. Will stay there again.

Doesn’t look like photos, drove in, no reception just a kiosk. Arrived around 4.00pm room not ready, no one to speak too to find out when it would be ready. No other guests around, didn't look safe so we booked another motel for our stay.

Does what it says on the box-Best Budget Bed In Bendigo. Bright modernised rooms, clean and well equipped, comfortable bed, fantastic water pressure in the shower. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Key pad door locks are brilliant! I didn’t experience any of the negatives that I had read in the reviews.

Self check in did not work. Large front window lock did not secure our room #14. We had to jam it shut with a book!

E-maled Hotel 2 days before arrival to request a late check-out. Still waiting for a reply. No one was there at 2.30pm when i arrived, and saw no-one there the whole stay. Disappointing!!

Room had a slightly unpleasant smell - noticeable whenever we entered. Jo towels - had to ask for them. No soap in the shower gel dispenser in shower No extra pillows - had to ask for them. A digital reception device for check in - only worked in part. Had a pin number to enter the room - sometimes that failed and if you entered it again then the system required a stand down before you could re-enter. The staff person who entered our room legitimately had terrible B/O and smoker's breath. It was sufficient to linger in the air after he went outside. He also stood and openly read our open travel folder on the bench which contained personal info - even after I said to him "please don't look/read- that is personal/private". We survived ok but would not stay there again.

Old school motel, but for $99 had everything we needed. Comfy bed, great air-con (it was 40 degrees one of the days), and close to everything. The main road is a bit noisy, but didn't keep us awake. Will stay again.

The room was dated but very clean. Bed was comfortable. Tea making facilities available. Heating was adequate. The hotel was close to the CBD.

Basic, good for price, easy check in option. Local bus route stop outside which is convenient though limited on weekends. 24 hour servo next door which is great for early morning coffees etc.

Initial presentation upgrade of living area very nice, but that's where it ends. Shower faulty, sprays like a fountain from above the head leakage. In the morning no basic breakfast facilities kettle does not fit under the tap, no bottled water, no bread, no spreads. overpriced.
