One small roach in kitchen but other than that a clean room. Very loud parking lot in the early AM - probably a popular hotel for blue collar workers in the area. Asked manager who was there in the AM about some basic questions and was dismissed and told to contact manager of property for more info. (front desk is mostly remote attendant on a little screen). Not far drive to nags head beach and walking distance to downtown Manteo. Pet friendly was a huge plus but the listing showed a pool which there is none (it’s because the other chains have a pool so this location may show pool online…).

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. Room service was approved but never occurred. Cleanliness issues: there were roaches, the bathtub had mold, and did not drain properly. I submitted a service call but nothing was fixed. I tried to shower anyhow which flooded the bathroom- guess the entire tub leaks. Safety concerns: I witnessed people openly smoking drugs from a glass pipe on the property, which made the hotel feel unsafe. People were outside all hours of the night smoking pot and drinking- being loud. The rooms smell moldy and the AC wasn’t able to properly cool. If I had not arrived so late at night, I would have left and stayed elsewhere. Overall, the hotel felt dirty, unsafe, and poorly maintained.

The window of the unit next to ours was duct taped up because it was heavily damaged....The room door had a gap that you could see through .....no coffee pot for the coffee maker.....mold on the shower tile....could not connect to the internet and no help when you call the operator.....nice towels....Will never stay there again

Someone beat on our door all night, scared us so bad. It was very noisy. Bathrooms were filthy. And the whole room smelled of smoke. The humidifier in the room was very filthy, you could see the grime. I feel we wasted our money!!

We stayed for 7 days. The room looked nothing like the photos. Grey brick with a bed that sounded like it was breaking every time you sat on it. It looked and felt like a prison cell. This could be a great place if it was kept up. Our room was never once cleaned. I took out our own trash every day and we used the same towels for the entire week. And the flies, omg the flies.

Room was clean enough, bed comfortable, combination of a/c and room dehumidifier made it rather noisy, but if you turned either one off the room became rather clammy. Overall, it was ok, but not my first choice if staying in Manteo again.

Each room has two chairs and a table in front of them for smoking, there even was a cigarette bucket. Room was very spacious and clean. Beds were a little hard and the only major issue I had was the AC unit in the wall did not keep the room super cold.

The check in was done by video. It sux due to low volume. Had to ask the person to repeat several times due to could not hear him. The room was very clean. Shower water pressure sux. No liner or sticky on tub floor. So if not careful, you will slip and fall. Other than these issues, my stay eas great. I would return to this location again. So a rate of 3.5-4 star.

Perfect location to walk to historic district of Manteo! Room was clean and had a microwave and mini fridge. Check in and check out were super easy. The only thing that wasnt quite perfect was the water temp and water pressure in the shower were somewhat inconsistent.

This place is terrible. The kiosk check-in is creepy to say the least. The handle for the faucet was laying on the countertop. The dehumidifier was inoperable due to being full of water. Cleaning up the spill from the dehumidifier with lots of fun.The garbage disposal did not work. The refrigerator had no way of making ice cubes. What kind of place has no bathroom sink and no bathroom mirror?

The check in prosess was easy and quick. I got to the room the bathroom was great and worked wonderfully. The front door wasn't shaped right and while it did bolt and locked there was a slit down it so that all the noise from outside came in. It is not soundproof even without that. The TV next door was either blaring or it is not soundproof as the site suggests. The slit in the door didn't help (especially when a loud truck left or stopped by early in the morning). Then the bed creeked when I got in it and kept creeking. It wasn't great. Slept okay on the other side. I had to do that not just for the creek but the air conditioner was blowing right at me otherwise. I tried turning it down even off, but it got too hot. Adaquate for my needs, but a lot of little things not great.

Check in was with a guy in a kiosk. No idea where he was. It was very difficult to hear him and the actual kiosk didn’t work. The room was ok - looks like furniture from a thrift store - nothing matches. Bed was very hard and lumpy.

Pros: The room was large and clean, parking lot was brightly lit, fairly nice. Cons: check in is very particular from 4-6pm only. No one is on duty after that if you have a problem. Crowd was friendly but loud, lots of smoking. Worst: The shower leaked out the wall into the kitchenette, so we called and asked them to fix it. When we followed up they said it was fixed, but when we tried it again it did the same thing. The next day they admitted that they had done nothing, just "turned it on and it seemed fine". That was not honest of them. It was a big problem for us not to be able to shower, and they were not honest about having fixed the leak.

The in person manager was very knowledgeable and customer service oriented. When he was unavailable it was disappointing to receive help. We were locked out of our room for as n hour.

First time ever staying here. Manteo is a really cool little town. And Roanoke Island in general is awesome. I only stayed here 1 night and really had no complaints except that checking in through a live Webcam kiosk was a odd and the volume on the kiosk is very low and unable to turn up so it's difficult to hear what their employee is saying.

Loved the non-hotel furniture in the room, room was very nice, staff wonderful. There was not an elevator but it was only 2 floors. Will definitely be back. Town was incredible to enjoy!! Hotel very close to the downtown/waterfront area.

Great room for the price. It was large and clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was way more than I had Expected. Would recommend this place.

There's quite a bit around the heart of manios if you go a mile or so up the road you can fish under the bridge if you go four blocks five blocks up the street you're in the historic Roanoke area was a lot of great restaurants and things to do and anywhere around there for fishing it's just a fun place

We wanted to do the Lost Colony and aquarium on our stop over. I booked this place on hotels.com. Check in was super easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The water was hot and the shower had lots of pressure. No frills, no pool, no breakfast. Just a clean, comfortable and economical place to sleep, close to the attractions. Just what we wanted. I esp loved that they folded the towels into fans and placed them on the bed. What a nice touch. We’ll stop by, again, on our next trip to Ga.

The room had very visible mold on the ceilings and in the AC unit. The bedding looked as if it hadn't been washed in years. Roaches came in under the big gap under the entry door. The bathroom was the cleanest part of the room and that still had mold in the caulking. The handle to the cold water would just keep spinning.

Very clean, but awful bed! Bed had a huge creator in the center to which made half the mattress unusable. Rooms renovated as cheap as possible with paint thrown over everything. Power went out for half a night, with no staff to talk to in sight, and of course no answer on the phone call. You get what you pay for. It’s a clean motel, I’ll just pay the extra $50 a night else where for a weekend trip.
