I normally use this property when I come to Macon it’s easy and clean. This visit not so much. The only ice machince in the hotel was broken. The TV in the (311)room was not working, they did come and fix that. I may try it again however the hotel across the street may also get a try.

I usually don’t leave reviews. Last year, my husband and I stayed at this hotel on our way down to florida from ohio. The hotel was great and very clean. I am not sure what happened from last April to this June but that was not the case this time around. My husband checked in and was told our room had a leaky air conditioner. He was shown this, and it didn’t leak much so we took the room. When we got inside, there were dog feces next to the room next to us, besides their door. We got inside, the floors were dirty, no big deal. I decided to use the bathroom and washed my hands, the sink leaks at the top. My husband used the bathroom and noticed there was urine on the floor next to the base of the toilet? Also, we had our dog with us who was crated while we got settled, so it definitely wasn’t our dog. The wash rags were still damp, not sure why. Towels were damp as well. I’m assuming not fully dried from when they were cleaned but left me feeling gross when I had to use one. We were offered a room with two queen beds but denied it, as we wanted a king bed together. The floors were dirty by the curtain and there was some kind of strange stain on the wall. It just was not a great stay overall, and we left dissapointed.

The people were very nice, especially the morning person. The room was nice a little worn but clean. The bathroom not so much. There was a bar soap and shampoo bottle left from previous guest. Also hair in shower. Not the end of the world. Coffee was excellent

There was a pair of dirty underwear in our bathroom behind the “clean” towels. There was also a lot of short hair all over the toilet. It was as if the hotel room had NOT been cleaned. I took a picture and notified front desk staff. I requested contact information for management which they were reluctant to only give me names so I’m going to have to find out how to reach management on my own!

This hotel is disgusting. Our first room had hair on the pillows and the sheets had liquid spilled on them. We asked for a new room and it was much of the same, this time with hair on the toilet seat and in the shower. Our third (and final) room also had hair on the pillows and sheets along with dirt.

Noisy, could hear everything above you. People walking, talking. Breakfast sandwiches were hard and nasty. No coffee cup lids or sleeves. property itself was nice. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The area between the floors the ceilings is a major problem.

At check in, the front desk did not greet me. Rather the desk clerk butted out “we can’t check you in right now because our internet is out.” It took an hour before they implemented manual check in procedures and assigned rooms to the 10 people who’d arrived and were waiting. When I finally got my key card later in the evening, I discovered that the door scanner on the room was missing. Television also did not work properly.

The lady at the front desk for night/early morning shift is a gem and should be paid more. She was simply delightful! The room did have a few spots on the floor that were quite dirty but I arrived at 1am and left at 6am so didn’t care that much. The bathroom was clean and the bed was ok. But that front desk lady? 11/10!

Arrived after midnight the night of reservation, only to be turned away along with several other families because the facility had allowed themselves to be over booked. The hotel hadn’t called in advance to notify us that our reservation wouldn’t be valid and left us to scramble in the middle of the night for another hotel.

We had stayed in a different Avid before and were not happy so wanted to give this one a chance. It took 4 trips down to the lobby to get two room keys that worked. There was also trouble with our incidentals fee. The desk clerk was so polite and tried so hard, but you could tell he was new and probably not trained as well as he should be. Hotel's fault! IOther than that the stay was good.

The hotel manager April is absolutely AMAZING. She was attentive to my need to extend our stay and keeping the same room to minimize the impact on my child with disabilities. Stephanie made the initial check in smooth and quick while communicating with me via text throughout our stay. Housekeeping was concise with the request made in writing to replace the linens and bathroom essentials. The lady in the breakfast area was so kind and polite each morning.

AVID- The staff at this hotel that checked me in charged my card FOUR times without my consent - totaling near $500!!! She did not know what she was doing. Every time I went to my room she had charged my card. I went to the front desk to get the charges removed and somehow - she charged me yet again. The next morning, I went to get the charges straight - they gave me a letter to take to my bank to remove (not all - but just some of) the charges. So now in a strange city - I am to find a bank - making it even more inconvenient. For my 2-night stay - I paid $500. Which they said some would fall off in 5-7 biz days. Still waiting for my refund. I was never compensated for my inconvenience from Manager April. Never did I receive a phone call. I will NEVER stay here again. Do not give these ppl your card. You will be sorry. And the breakfast is TERRIBLE. Not worth the trouble. Very disappointing stay. :(

First stay at Avid. Very clean, comfortable bed, very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was presented nicely with good choices. Loved having coffee,tea,hot chocolate available at any time. Would recommend and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was safe feeling, clean, exceptional customer service overall. The breakfast was mediocre and several things were out almost an hour before the breakfast time was over. In addition, the server staff member was not a good fit as he stood around while trash was overflowing, and things were running out. Otherwise, this stay was enjoyable and met our Needs

we stay at this avid as a pitt stop between detroit and orlando. the night check in staff was amazing. we like that we can have breakfast during the stay before heading out and feel safe and secure. one that that was off putting - a tip jar out for breakfast ; i don’t remember seeing it before. + the feeling like my 5 + 8yo petite daughters were eating too much. but maybe i misread the situation. we will return regardless

Pros: The building was new and clean. Room size was barely OK. Bathroom was nice. Individually and fresh coffee 24/7. Cons: Breakfast ends at 9:30AM. Too early for weekends. Orange juice at breakfast was too watered-down. Perhaps machine needs fine adjustment. Bed was too noisy, I mean springs in the bed was making so much noise. Room needs one more chair. One is not enough. A/C had bad smell coming out of, when running.

The staff at the property were amazing, but I could not get over the extreme mold/mildew smell in the first room that they had me in, and the still moldy/mildewy smell in the second room but not as bad. If they resolve that issue, it would be a great experience.
