ゴールデンウィークに泊まらせていただきました。トータルは非常に良かったです！！温泉もいいですし、富士山を直接見れる温泉もありますし。プラスでお金かかりますけど卓球とカラオケできますし。夜ご飯を中で食べようと思ったら私みたいな庶民にはキツいですね。あと駐車場からの動線が良くなかったです。でもやっぱりトータルではすごい良いホテルでした。

It was an exceptional hotel with an excellent customer service and amazing facilities. Breakfast was never the best. Everything served was great food. Even a white toast might give you a different taste. You won’t regret it. Amazing facilities such as onsen, sauna, cold water whirlpool, Massage chairs, and the special skincare products by Kosé.

Hotel Mount Fuji was an absolute nightmare to get to and from Tokyo and Kyoto. There is very limited public transport to get there and back. It’s also becomes costly with all the jumping on and off trains and buses to get there. Hotel only offered to drive us down the hill to the bus stop )5 minutes down hill) and their shuttle service did not coincide with the bus timetable leaving us sitting in the hot sun for 50 minutes before our bus arrived. We met other international travellers who complained of the same issue. Very difficult to communicate with reception staff who struggled to understand us speaking English. Hotel is based in a beautiful location but is very dated and run down. We wanted to use the swimming pool but it was closed down and looked like it had been for years. Bedroom views were spectacular, rooms larger than anverage and very clean, breakfast buffet large anrray and good (though most Japanese hotels do not offer enough healthy options)). Onsen was a highlight and would recommend using whilst there, particularly the outdoor one. Loved the location but in hindsight we would never have visited had we known the travel stress

Worse hotel I've stayed during my month trip to Japan. The only good thing about this hotel is the views. When first checked in they gave us the most atrocious room, old and horrible, I went to the front desk because that is not what I reserved and they acted like they knew and changed it without saying a word. There is a charge for everything, they make the stay a hazard instead of relaxing time. We asked the code for the pool, they provided the code and when we checked out we were charged for using the pool!!! WHAT? I'm paying for the hotel and not even the pool is included? うん、よかったんじゃないかと思います。天気が良くて、富士山がよく見えてとてもよかったです。お風呂にもサウナが3カ所もあって、サウナから見る富士山と言うのはなかなかでした。夕食も朝食もとてもおいしかったです。ホテルのスタッフもとても親切でした。色々と見てもあるところやホテルの魅力も説明してもらって、朝山中湖の雲海と富士山が両方見えたのは素晴らしかったです。

3泊しましたスタッフの皆様の接客もすごく良かったです！サウナと温泉が最高で朝は富士山が見えて、夜は星露天風呂から星がたくさん見えました！！！！また、山中湖に行く際には利用したいです。

Overall the stay was good. Staff was really friendly and helpful! Great service. Room style was still in the 70’. Somewhat nostalgic. What is kind of great to experience in my opinion. Overall the room was clean. Major downside poor maintained bathroom, with mold on the ceiling. A hotel in that category must do better than this. One of the major highlights is a great breakfast with an awesome view on Mt Fuji (if the weather allows).

To make it short; not recommendable at all. Staff does not speak English. They probably try there best but not professional at all. Hotel is old and worn. No sense for details. Kitchen/cooking smell is creeping it's way through the floors. We couldn't connect to the WIFI in our room, after one hour of trying we were told it might be because of our phones where not purchased in Japan so they have a different security level. A few hours later it suddenly worked. The hotel is definitely NOT worth the money.

Great view of Mount Fuji just from the hotel room and restaurant. wing we stayed are spacious but need updates as there are not enough electric outlets and no USB plugs. Service is great and suggest add breakfast to your booking as it is really good deal.

We loved our room. We reserved the room for for four with two futons and two western beds. The view was amazing from our balcony and the open air bath. We enjoyed everything. The only thing we wished we knew about the free shuttle. The walk up the hill was not fun or probably safe.

The staff were nice (if not overbearing) but the bar is only open from 9-12 despite its remote location. The prices accurately reflected supply and demand! The interior of the rooms appears to be unchanged for the entirety of the 60 year stint that they are currently going on about being open for. The doorway into the bathroom was so low that even with stooping, I continued to bash my head. A breakfast where variety trumps quality and most of the food features salt as the main seasoning. The views were lovely and pretty much the only brag this place has. I cannot recommend this place, especially when considering the early final outing for the free shuttlebus. This is a typical old onsen retreat and not suited to sightseeing or luxury.

It is a quiet and nice area with a lake and see the majestic Mt. Fuji, indoor pool, outdoor hot springs and indoor public bath. However, the staff do no speak much English, so are the room Tv- no English programs, the remote control doesn’t have English as display and no English menu. We really hope the hotel can improve these. Other than that, the food are excellent.

We couldn't connect to the WIFI in our room, after one hour of trying we were told it might be because of our phones where not purchased in Japan so they have a different security level. A few hours later it suddenly worked. The hotel is definitely NOT worth the money.

To make it short; not recommendable at all. Staff does not speak English. They probably try there best but not professional at all. Hotel is old and worn. No sense for details. Beautiful place, great food and classy top notch. The best of all the staff at the front desk Yaminsha a caring gentleman that helped us with translating for transport from to train. I am very appreciative of his help. Good people are hard to find and there are plenty in this hotel. More than grateful.

Lo mejor de este hotel es definitivamente la vista al mt Fuji. Es inmejorable en ese sentido. El acceso no es tan fácil, llegamos en bus desde Tokio y en la parada cercana no había taxi, se me ocurrió llamar y bajaron a buscarnos. I’m very disappointed with my experience here. While the property was beautiful and clean and the onsen pools were beautiful, the service here was some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I arrived to the hotel around 10 AM at which point all of the restaurants and all of the Hot Springs and the gift shop were closed. It was pouring rain and foggy so there was nowhere to go except sit in the lobby with about a dozen other guests for several hours while we waited for our roomsto be ready. The hotel staff did nothing to accommodate us all waiting with nothing to do or eat or drink. Additionally, the shuttle bus only runs until 530 and there’s no other way to get off the hotel property without a car which I did not have and when I tried to make a reservation for dinner, they informed me that all of the restaurants were full. However, when I went by the restaurants, they were half full and in approaching the staff to sit, they said they were full to which I questioned how they were full If half the tables are empty. They said that people were coming, so I waited around for almost an hour, and the tables remain half full. I ended up buying instant noodles at the gift shop and eating in my room as a result. I was unable to see Mount Fuji due to dense fog, which would have been a great view. I ended up checking out a full day early because I was extremely disappointed with my experience and the service provided. I basically did nothing for the 1.5 days and would advise against stay

Very cool, retro early 60’s hotel that’s been well preserved. So many great things to say about this hotel great staff very welcoming excellent transportation shuttle options. The views are amazing huge patio with lounge chairs to relax and soak in the view of Mount Fuji many dining options. The buffet was excellent, filled with traditional Japanese and American breakfast choices known for its onson/Spa this hotel is truly a step back in time and such a treat. Favorite part of the property is the size of the guest rooms which were huge by Japanese hotel standards large sliding windows open to bring in fresh air and gorgeous views beautiful ropes slippers. This hotel is truly delight. Don’t miss the gift shop. Hope to visit again!

Hotel Mount Fuji was an absolute nightmare to get to and from Tokyo and Kyoto. There is very limited public transport to get there and back. It’s also becomes costly with all the jumping on and off trains and buses to get there. Hotel only offered to drive us down the hill to the bus stop )5 minutes down hill) and their shuttle service did not coincide with the bus timetable leaving us sitting in the hot sun for 50 minutes before our bus arrived. We met other international travellers who complained of the same issue. Very difficult to communicate with reception staff who struggled to understand us speaking English. Hotel is based in a beautiful location but is very dated and run down. We wanted to use the swimming pool but it was closed down and looked like it had been for years. Bedroom views were spectacular, rooms larger than anverage and very clean, breakfast buffet large anrray and good (though most Japanese hotels do not offer enough healthy options)). Onsen was a highlight and would recommend using whilst there, particularly the outdoor one. Loved the location but in hindsight we would never have visited had we known the travel stress

Helped me see Mt. Fuji at sunrise. There was a thick layer of fog forming right above the Yamanakako Lake in the early mornig, which seems to be a common thing in this season. Because this hotel was above the fog it didn't obstruct our view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji at sunrise. It was a very clear and sunny day, and the fog cleared up within a couple of hours after sunrise. If you are aiming for sunrise picture, this hotel really enhaces your chance of catching the precious view.

I would definitely stay at this hotel just for the amazing Mt. Fuji views from the terrace. It is a nice property but certainly can use a refresh in the rooms and making the bathroom little bigger. The property is located on a small hill near the lake and they offer shuttle service that you have to book in advance. I wish they offer this more frequently. Finally, I wish the offer coffee and tea service in the afternoon after their main dining is closed.

Positives- spacious room with view of lake, comfortable beds, clean facilities. Great open mineral water spas. Very good breakfast. Negatives - Being high on a hill, you have to reserve a shuttle to take you down the hill. The restaurants on-site were closed when we arrived hungry. They were expensive and our sashimi was not very fresh. There is not even coffee in the lobby. The vending machines have awful selection of snacks.

Pool was closed and didn’t know til we got there which was a huge bummer even though it’s indoor, i wanted to go there with children, wasn’t interested in being unclothed with older children. Wouldn’t stay here again. Wanted the buffet dinner but didn’t kno it was closed during the week for dinner. Wasn’t satisfied with breakfast buffet at all.

Squandered opportunity is the name of the game, here. A gorgeous location decimated by lousy management decisions and lack of concern for guests’ comfort and safety. Four restaurants and a bar but we who stayed in the deluxe suite were told that we could not get a reservation for dinner. The bar is only open on Friday & Saturday. Complicating this dire inconvenience is that the nearest town is miles away and they offer no shuttle service. Worse, at 7:45pm I photographed more than 15 empty tables at two of the restaurants. The front desk stayed adamant that there were no reservations available. This is one of those hotels whose glory days are behind them, evidenced by the dented and scratched furniture, the soiled carpets, and the like. Upkeep has been abandoned Also, it is time for Japan to unclench their collective gluteus Maximus and stop discriminating against people with tattoos. I have a small tattoo on my upper shoulder, but since these nuts are concerned that I might be a white 70 year old American member of yakuza I am not allowed to use the facilities. Seriously. It’s 2026. The breakfast is included. Nice, right? Nope. It’s extensive but it’s a great example of more isn’t necessarily better. Frozen prepackaged dumplings, and spring rolls, the latter being so greasy they were inedible. All the offerings were bland and unappetizing. So, another fail. But there aren’t many other choices in this area, so good luck at this major disappointment
