Very professionally operated Inn set in a beautiful open Scottish Valley. The staff was welcoming and made themselves available when questions arose. Clean, comfortable rooms with access to warm amd welcoming bar and dining facilities

The hotel is part of a local chain Black Sheep Hotels, but has a very independent family feel. Greeted by a fire at reception it instantly gave a warm welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and the restaurant meal was contemporary. The room was warm, inviting and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only frustration about our room was there was an interconnecting corridor door that constantly was banging with people going to their rooms. Breakfast was ample and a mixture of continental and cooked we both really enjoyed it. Would love to stay there again lovely hotel.

Really great stay in room 1. Price not overly suitable for a business trip however I would definitely be happy to stay here for leisure. Comfortable and very welcoming staff who were constantly there to help with any requests. Great facilities, evening meal was lovely, breakfast wasn’t tasting very fresh which was surprising.

This was one of my all time favorite locations for a hotel in Scotland - out in the remote highlands, misty mountains and lush green valleys with rivers running through. The bedrooms were decorated perfectly to fit the vibe and were cozy, although a little small. It was quiet, even leaving the windows open to let the fresh air in (as long as you were on the side of the hotel facing out to the mountains). The part that really hit home was the breakfast in the morning which was in the most epic part of the restaurant privately reserved for guests with a delicious breakfast buffet. It looked more like a Switzerland lodge. The staff were excellent the whole time. The only issue we had was a later checkin (9:30 pm) where the phone number on the door was unreachable that left us in a bit of a panic to not get in for about 20 minutes but we were able to go next door to the staff accommodations and get someone to let us in. Across from the hotel is their cafe and this was a staple spot to get caught up on laptop work during our trip, with excellent wifi speeds and good coffee. We loved it and would make this a for sure stop on the way to the Isle of Skye.

The property was welcoming and very neat. The staff were very accommodating and polite. The room was warm and clean. Good value for money, which included breakfast. The most important was a comfortable nights sleep. Thankyou.

When we arrived at the hotel no one was at reception, we had to find a member of staff in the restaurant. The room was fine, nothing exceptional, and the window did not shut properly (a theme round the hotel). There was a bath in the bathroom, but this could only be filled from the shower as there were no taps! There is no where else around to eat (which we guessed when we booked, so not a fault of the hotel), so eating in the hotel is the only option. The menu had various different options from pizza to Indian meals and traditional English meals. I ordered the fish and chips to be told ‘there was a problem with the fryer’ so this was not available. We were sat by a window which had a draft blowing through it. My wife asked a member of staff to close the window, he said he didn’t know how to so would get someone else to do so, no one came to look at the window. The food was OK, nothing amazing. Again breakfast was OK but nothing special. We were asked to book a time when we arrived at the hotel, there was no reason for this. Overall, there is generally nothing wrong with the property (apart from the windows) and the staff were all pleasant, but there is nothing special and the hotel as well the meals are overpriced for what you get.

The staff was so accommodating even though we were a late arrival. Ensured we knew the kitchen would be closing shortly and let us get our dinner order in. Beds were clean and comfortable. Felt wonderful climbing into that after a long day. Warm towels and a robe made showering feel fantastic! The complimentary breakfast was very well stocked and they cooked fresh to ensure there was warm food for everyone. If I were to travel in the area again I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for the exceptional service.

The Cluanie Inn is a very cozy and quaint hotel in the Highlands. The staff are extremely attentive – from the receptionist to the restaurant team, everyone was helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with our nine month old, and the baby cot provided was comfortable, as were the beds. The room had great amenities, and overall we felt very comfortable. The only minor downside was the shower/bath, which is a bit dated and could benefit from being updated. That said, the food at the restaurant was good, and breakfast offered nice options and was enjoyable. A charming place to stay if you are exploring the Highlands.

We had a fantastic long weekend here. Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, the staff were very attentive and welcoming and a really lovely place to relax after hillwalking.

My wife asked a member of staff to close the window, he said he didn’t know how to so would get someone else to do so, no one came to look at the window. The food was OK, nothing amazing. This was one of my all time favorite locations for a hotel in Scotland - out in the remote highlands, misty mountains and lush green valleys with rivers running through. The bedrooms were decorated perfectly to fit the vibe and were cozy, although a little small. It was quiet, even leaving the windows open to let the fresh air in (as long as you were on the side of the hotel facing out to the mountains). The part that really hit home was the breakfast in the morning which was in the most epic part of the restaurant privately reserved for guests with a delicious breakfast buffet. It looked more like a Switzerland lodge. The staff were excellent the whole time. The only issue we had was a later checkin (9:30 pm) where the phone number on the door was unreachable that left us in a bit of a panic to not get in for about 20 minutes but we were able to go next door to the staff accommodations and get someone to let us in. Across from the hotel is their cafe and this was a staple spot to get caught up on laptop work during our trip, with excellent wifi speeds and good coffee. We loved it and would make this a for sure stop on the way to the Isle of Skye.

The staff was so accommodating even though we were a late arrival. Ensured we knew the kitchen would be closing shortly and let us get our dinner order in. Beds were clean and comfortable. Felt wonderful climbing into that after a long day. Warm towels and a robe made showering feel fantastic! The complimentary breakfast was very well stocked and they cooked fresh to ensure there was warm food for everyone. If I were to travel in the area again I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you so much for the exceptional service.

The Cluanie Inn is a very cozy and quaint hotel in the Highlands. The staff are extremely attentive – from the receptionist to the restaurant team, everyone was helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with our nine month old, and the baby cot provided was comfortable, as were the beds. The room had great amenities, and overall we felt very comfortable. The only minor downside was the shower/bath, which is a bit dated and could benefit from being updated. That said, the food at the restaurant was good, and breakfast offered nice options and was enjoyable. A charming place to stay if you are exploring the Highlands.

We stayed at Culanie Inn on our way back from Skye. This inn had the best service and was very pleasant to book with. I highly suggest staying here for the views and for the kind service. There was a great walk close to the inn which was wonderful for the sunset views.

The location for a drive around Skye was perfect. Easy to get to from Glasgow airport. Meals excellent. A real nice feel of the highlands. You could tell that the owners appreciate their guests. Quite a few midges in the area so be prepared. Selling some spray on site would help.

The food was really good. I had the BBQ ribs and my daughter had the fish and chips basket. The calamari, prawns, and cod were all fresh and all the meat was cooked just right to melt in your mouth.

Really great stay in room 1. Price not overly suitable for a business trip however I would definitely be happy to stay here for leisure. Comfortable and very welcoming staff who were constantly there to help with any requests. Great facilities, evening meal was lovely, breakfast wasn’t tasting very fresh which was surprising.

First off, if you plan to stay here, plan to drive a half hour away minimum to get food from a restaurant. The food in their restaurant is quite literally frozen reheated food, and it cost ~$100 USD per meal for two people. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful mountains and the staff are very friendly. That being said, there was nothing special about this hotel at all, and with a ~$400/night price tag, I was thoroughly disappointed. I would not stay here again.

Staff were friendly and gave us a good larger than expected room on arrival which was good. The hotwl is positioned in a very peaceful area. We had a room on the ground floor at the back so there was no road noise but lots of noise late at night when other guests were arriving to their rooms. Walls/floors are thin! The water coming out of the taps and toilet was yellow..not sure why. Bottles of yellow tap water were being served to customers. The menu was not to our taste far too much spicy food. I had to send the corn on the cob back as it was covered in spice. We were then brought a new plain one and were not charged which was good. Can't comment on the cooked breakfast as we only had fruit/continental options.
