The carpet in my room 102 was heavily stained the bath mat had black mould on it the toilet roll holder was all loose The view was lovely but first impressions wasn’t good It was a recommendation from my brother who lives in whitby

We had the family room for 3 adults. Room 211. Lovely room extra large king size bed, separate room with bunk beds. Really comfy. View over car park but didn't matter as we were out all day. The hotel has been refurbished since we last went so very modern in the bar / restaurant now. Views of the sea immediately as you go out the front of the hotel. 5 minute walk to the beach. You can use the hotel car park, at the rear of the hotel, which is £8 for 24 hours, from 11am on the day you arrive to 11am the next day. The reception give you a voucher which you use to scan into the pay machine when you leave. Helpful to know as hard to find places to park when busy. Love Whitby, we will be back 🙂

The hotel staff, bar areas and restaurant were very good, what let it down a bit was that our room on the top floor was a bit tired, specifically the bathroom. Unfinished wood work around the toilet, no towel rails. We had a fantastic view over the harbour but unfortunately the outside of the windows were quite dirty. In the hotel’s defence , they are in the process of a major refurbishment program. Despite the bathroom I would recommend the hotel for a stay in Whitby which is fantastic.
