We loves our stay at Bankfield Barn. It had everything you could possibly need and was so homely and comfortable. The local village was gorgeous and had a lovely selection of pubs, a restaurant and an amazing fish and chips (Elliots). It's perfectly located for a walking holiday as the entire Peak District was accessible from this location right in the centre. We enjoyed every second and were sad to have to leave. Highly recommend this home, the hosts were accessible if needed but barely seen during our stay which meant it felt private and relaxing. The welcome biscuits, local milk and orange juice as well as freshly cut flowers was a lovely touch. Thank you!

This was a lovely property and thoroughly recommend it. The only slight negative is that we felt the kitchen area could do with better lighting.

Me, my partner and the dog had a brilliant stay here at Bankfield Barn. The whole cottage was clean, spacious and cosy (and was also incredibly dog friendly which was great). There was lots of toiletries, cooking, cleaning bits available to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay and made it very enjoyable and comfortable. It’s such a good base to get to lots of places by foot in the Peak District (for were able to walk to Bakewell is around 3 hours along a nice walking route from here). Additionally it was great being in the lovely village of Tideswell which has many great amenities, pubs and a great bus service connecting it to Bakewell and Castleton. All in all a brilliant stay and we will certainly be booking this cottage again, the hosts were really helpful in communication and nice when we met them!
