Habitation Des Lauriers

Travelers, please be aware when booking a room at Habitation Des Lauriers. I made a reservation for my elderly mother and my sister. When my sister checked in the day before my mother arrived, they were assigned a room that required climbing numerous steep steps and walking a considerable distance from the front desk. She sent me a video showing just how difficult the walk was. I immediately contacted the hotel through Hotels.com and explained that my mother, who is nearly 70 years old, would not be able to manage the long walk and steps. At the time of booking—and even now—the listing did not clearly disclose that reaching the reserved room would require this level of physical effort. I also spoke with the assistant manager Pierre, who told me they would only move my family to a more accessible room if we paid an additional $50 USD. I explained that the accessibility issue had not been disclosed before I made and paid for the reservation, but he showed no concern or willingness to accommodate an elderly guest. Please do your due diligence and ask detailed questions about the room’s location and accessibility before booking. Based on my family’s experience and the hotel’s handling of the situation, I cannot recommend this establishment.

This property has the potential to be very nice but it is in need of some upgrades and groundskeeping. The good was bet good!!
