Great service from the staff.Good location for restaurants etc. Only issue was car parking as a road was closed and couldn't access it but it was a bank holiday. Staff give you a permit which I hope worked and we don't get a fine!

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from restful. The biggest issue was the constant noise—planes were landing or taking off every 5 minutes throughout the night, only letting up between 1am and 5am. To make matters worse, there was a loud extractor fan just outside my bedroom window that turned on and off all night, and I could even hear the person snoring in the room next door due to poor sound insulation. Cleanliness and maintenance also left a lot to be desired. There was a spider infestation in the bathroom, the headboard I used to charge my phone was really dusty, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The car park was also difficult to locate, could really do with improving signage. On a more positive note, the food was really good. Apart from the chicken for the main course being pink, the scallp scallop starter was absolutely delicious, and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff were amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to stay in unless some major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and noise control. The pub / restaurant I would highly recommend though : )

We stayed at the Rose & Crown 19th and 20th June 2024. Nice room with tea / coffee facilities. Parking in pubs own parking area at the back of the hotel. There is a beer garden where we had fish & chips and must say it was the best fish & chips we have ever had. Next morning we had full English breakfasts with tea or coffee and plenty of toast. All on all excellent value for money.

Lovely welcoming staff. Private carpark. Lovely pub. Really good breakfast. Our room room (9) was small and it was a very hot day/night so room was hot but there is a fan. Shower wasn't very powerful but overall adeqate for our 2 night stay. Nice bedding and fluffy towels. Great location for the town centre.

The room size was great but its so noisy, the windows do not shut but they installed a glass section in front which doesnt help the noise The room was clean but the bathroom was tatty, a genuine hole in the floor near the shower and a smell of damp. Breakfast was lovely service was slow to get a coffee. Was okay but too costly for what you get.

First impressions are really good but our stay was ruined by water leaking through the ceiling in the fitted wardrobe causing constant dripping noise throughout the night keeping us awake on inspection the wardrobe was full of cobwebs and had a damp stained wall and water damage which tells me this has been happening long term. When reported no discount given were apologetic but did say hope to see you again but understand if we don’t not great customer service. On a plus the breakfast was quite good location good but what could be a really great place to stay is let down by poor preventative maintenance on the whole a great location nice bar restaurant area

Room was very small with bed against the wall making it difficult to get in and out of the bed Room was dusty and tired. No lights in hallway so had to use light on phone to see the key hole Breakfast was superb and cooked to perfection

My stay would have been excellent but for a really minor thing - the water pressure for the shower was quite low and I really need my early morning shower to wake me up. Other than this, the Rose and Crown was excellent from start to finish and I will definitely look to stay there again.

Been here before so knew what to expect. Lovely room with modern facilities right in the centre of town. Great staff and the building is nearly 400 years old so fabulous atmosphere. Be aware that as the room we had (3) is right over the bar, so can get noisy

The walls are too thin, no sound proofing. Loud telephone conversations until 4am!!! Doors slamming. Could be updated in decor. Bathroom needs a better shower. We really enjoyed thd breakfast. Thank you

Great run pub and rooms. Very friendly staff. Yes, it's a pub so noisy up until 11.30 on Saturday, but after that quiet in the room. The Breakfast ( included in the room rate) was excellent and freshly prepared to order.

Staff friendly and polite. Room was clean. Reason for only giving 3 are as follows 1. Auto email message said no food on Mondays but on arrival told no food on Tuesday due to a pub quiz… so why not send out an email to booked guests in advance? 2. Shower had no hot water.. no matter if I turned the temp to full either way! Tan the hot tap on the bath and only Luke warm at 8am. 3. My side of the bed mattress has obviously had the most wear as it has sunk (left hand side in room 5). Wife side

Friendly, helpful staff. I was struggling to find the car park and they talked me in which was wonderful. Food is good and they were able to adjustcthe menu to my dietary requirements

Terrible service overall . Asked for an early check in as I was at a wedding . Was refused which is understandable and was told that the bag would be left in our room when we arrive back. Upon return the bag wasn’t in the room. Partner went down stairs this morning to find the bag down stairs on the floor by the reception desk. No care or attention by manager

Always a great stay at the Rose & Crown. The staff are exceptional from checking in to the bar and waiting staff. Alway attentive and professional in their roles. New menu was excellent. There’s a wonderful feel within the pub, community spirit. The old world feel with the low lighting and candles in the evening gives a warmth and depth. Rooms are very comfortable and a great night’s sleep, becareful if you pass the jar of eclairs on the landing, very addictive if you’ve got a sweet tooth. Breakfast is always very good, staff member exceptional in their level of service. Some Greek yogurt might be a good addition and a little more choice for hot food but can see the footfall really drives this option. Food though is very good. Great location In town, exceptional levels of service and attentiveness with staff, wonderful community feel, dog friendly which is a pleasure to see and great food. Secret gem in Knutsford :)

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. We were away with our young baby and we had offers of help at every opportunity which was appreciated i.e carrying things up and down the stairs. We would definitely stay again.

Service is always great here the staff are lovely. Breakfast is superb and a lot to choose from. Creamy mushrooms on sourdough with spinach and egg is the best thing ive every had anywhere in the world, you have to try it. Compliments to the chef 👍

I Really enjoyed my stay here, nice boutique feel and great location. The only improvement for me would be a bigger TV in the room and an earlier start on breakfast as I missed that.

Lovely welcoming staff. Private carpark. Lovely pub. Really good breakfast. Our room room (9) was small and it was a very hot day/night so room was hot but there is a fan. Shower wasn't very powerful but overall adeqate for our 2 night stay. Nice bedding and fluffy towels. Great location for the town centre.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was far from restful. The biggest issue was the constant noise—planes were landing or taking off every 5 minutes throughout the night, only letting up between 1am and 5am. To make matters worse, there was a loud extractor fan just outside my bedroom window that turned on and off all night, and I could even hear the person snoring in the room next door due to poor sound insulation. Cleanliness and maintenance also left a lot to be desired. There was a spider infestation in the bathroom, the headboard I used to charge my phone was really dusty, and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The car park was also difficult to locate, could really do with improving signage. On a more positive note, the food was really good. Apart from the chicken for the main course being pink, the scallp scallop starter was absolutely delicious, and one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! The bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff were amazing. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to stay in unless some major improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and noise control. The pub / restaurant I would highly recommend though : )

Staff were brilliant especially Alice. Couldn't have dinner because of a large party. Breakfast was ok but Continental choice was limited. Would stay again if in the vicinity

We stayed at the Rose & Crown 19th and 20th June 2024. Nice room with tea / coffee facilities. Parking in pubs own parking area at the back of the hotel. There is a beer garden where we had fish & chips and must say it was the best fish & chips we have ever had. Next morning we had full English breakfasts with tea or coffee and plenty of toast. All on all excellent value for money.

Great run pub and rooms. Very friendly staff. Yes, it's a pub so noisy up until 11.30 on Saturday, but after that quiet in the room. The Breakfast ( included in the room rate) was excellent and freshly prepared to order.

Service is always great here the staff are lovely. Breakfast is superb and a lot to choose from. Creamy mushrooms on sourdough with spinach and egg is the best thing ive every had anywhere in the world, you have to try it. Compliments to the chef 👍

The hotel is in the heart of Knutsford, a great location and having breakfast included was great. Having free parking is a bonus. The only downside is that the double room was v small (no room for a bedside table) and smelled of food being right next to the kitchen extractor.

Had a lovely stay at the Rose and Crown. It was my husband's big birthday and they kindly had chilled prosecco waiting in the room for us on arrival! The room was very nice, ok bed big and comfy and they added a big fan as middle of a heatwave. The pub is a beautiful 17th Century coaching Inn full of character, nothing like a corporate beige box, right in the centre of the lovely high street. This obviously comes with some noise as you're on top of a pub. England were playing (winning!) so there was a busy atmosphere outside. They have added an additional inner screen to block of noise as best they can but you're not installing double glazing to a coaching Inn. We loved our stay, breakfast was really good, staff friendly and would definitely return if we're planning on dining at Li-Ly's again. (Which was also amazing).

Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Can't comment on other meals as kitchen closed on Monday. Room was comfortable although shower was small and quirky.
