Amazing staff!!! Everyone there especially front desk and tours went above and beyond to be friendly, helpful, and just plain awesome. Expressed genuine concern for medical conditions when booking the overnight lake tour and private transfer afterwards, even going so far as to suggest a shorter and less expensive package. They even gave me the location of another tour office/hotel that might have something better (they didn’t) And when I insisted I would be fine with the overnight they called to make sure the hours for electricity on the lake would be suitable. They arranged a transfer to Phuket to meet me at the lake and bring my large luggage so I wouldn’t have to go back to the hotel 1 hr to get it. The food at the hotel was excellent. The accommodations for the price were good. You are in the middle of the forest so as long as you aren’t expecting city luxury you’ll be happy. Some noise from the rain forest at night but that’s going to be everywhere. They had a nice pool area and are constructing more cabins.

Just exceptional staff, spoke great English, made it easy to book different excursions. Go check out Cheow Lan Lake for sure. Room was clean, they gave free snacks, A/C worked very well. Beautiful pool. Really close to the village and restaurants, only a 5 min walk. Highly recommend it.

The staff‘s friendliness was extraordinary. They were so attentive. In the afternoons we got little snacks and they bought coconuts for us. Thank you so much May and Noknok! You made our stay very special! We stayed 10 days in Khao Sok and loved it. The resort is quiet, the pool mostly empty and the trips to the national park unforgettable. The cabins are a little rustic, but guarantee you privacy. Thank you for this special time!

Wir haben eine der Holzhütten gebucht. Das Bett war bequem und auch das Badezimmer war super. Der einzige negative Punkt für uns, war die Vielzahl an Krabbeltieren, auf die man sich aber einstellen muss, wenn man im Regelwald in einer Holzhütte übernachtet. Das Personal war bis jetzt das freundlichste und zuvorkommendste, dem wir begegnet sind. Sie waren auch sehr hilfsbereit beim Entfernen von Käfern o.ä. Außerdem gab es jeden Nachmittag einen Snack und ein Getränk kostenfrei zur Hütte oder zum Pool gebracht. Wir würden die Unterkunft aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen !!

Tolles,herzliches Personal. Für alle die im Resort sind,gibt es jeden Tag kostenfrei einen Nachmittagssnack mit Getränk - pluspunkt für die Aufmerksamkeit. Leider werden die Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Wir hatten an Tag 2 schon kein Duschgel und keine Handtücher mehr,denn diese wurden nicht wieder "aufgefüllt". Der Wasserdruck variiert stark,je nach Nutzung der anderen Gäste, aber zum Haare waschen (gerade für die Frauen ;)) guter Wasserdruck für Thailändische Verhältnisse. Die Lage ist toll,mit Blick auf die Wunderschönen Berge. Der Pool war zwar keine Erfrischung mehr #Hitzewelle, aber nett ihn genutzt zu haben. Alles in allem eine Tolle Anlage mit kleinen Schönheitsfehlern (Reinigung der Zimmer,Sauberkeit im Pool)aber sehr herzlichem Personal.

The rooms are comfortable, the property scenic, and the staff exceedingly accomrodatting. My only suggestion for how they could improve the experience for the guests: housekeeping comes in the late afternoon, the time when most guests are wanting to relax in their rooms before going out for the evening. There was one issue with cleanliness that I addressed directly with staff.

The staff was exceptional! They were really helpful with any questions and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location was perfect for us. We were able go walk through all the restaurants and down to the national park entrances within 15mins. The staff helped organize a canoe tour even though it was pouring rain which really made our day considering it was nonstop raining for the past 48hours. Luckily midway through our tour the sun started to peak out. 10/10 recommend. The AC was directed to our bed which was a little uncomfortable but the restroom and room its self was fully stocked and tidy. Again, the staff really went above and beyond so if we decide to return this is the place we are staying at!

1 night only stay but we loved it. It’s not a high end property like we are used to but this was great. Quite traditional cottage style rooms which were clean and comfortable set amongst beautiful surroundings. Service was excellent - the staff could not do enough for us and were delightful and super friendly.

The property itself is quite nice and the location at the edge of town makes it convenient for walking while being quiet. We stayed in the original buildings which were clean, but a little tired, the bungalows looked nice but we did not see it. We were only in and out for 2 nights and only there to sleep - it was clean. A solid 3 star hotel, but once you've been to this area - I don't see a reason to go back

Montania is located in the rain forest but has all the comforts. The airconditioning is excellent, the beds are very comfortable and the traditional cottages are quaint and exceptionally neat and clean. The staff are most welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight with the food being of top quality and great variety. Loved the fresh fruit and banana pancakes. The tours were easy to organise at short notice, however, we weren't pressurised i to taking tours. Waterproof bags, torches and towels were supplied for our trip to the lake. I had very high hopes for our trip to Khao Sok, and Montania made it a reality. Thank you!

Fantastic location and beautiful scenery. Staff very accommodating; couldn’t do more for us! Unfortunately, the bed sheets and pillows were stained in 4 different places. Looked like coffee and makeup. Reception not 24/7 so couldn’t contact as it was later after dinner. Made for an unpleasurable sleep.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. May was always smiling and took very good care of our needs. The room was very rustic but probably one of the nicest for the area. Breakfast was fresh and awesome every morning! Would definitely recommend!

Wir haben eine der Holzhütten gebucht. Das Bett war bequem und auch das Badezimmer war super. Der einzige negative Punkt für uns, war die Vielzahl an Krabbeltieren, auf die man sich aber einstellen muss, wenn man im Regelwald in einer Holzhütte übernachtet. Das Personal war bis jetzt das freundlichste und zuvorkommendste, dem wir begegnet sind. Sie waren auch sehr hilfsbereit beim Entfernen von Käfern o.ä. Außerdem gab es jeden Nachmittag einen Snack und ein Getränk kostenfrei zur Hütte oder zum Pool gebracht. Wir würden die Unterkunft aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen !!

Montania is located in the rain forest but has all the comforts. The airconditioning is excellent, the beds are very comfortable and the traditional cottages are quaint and exceptionally neat and clean. The staff are most welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight with the food being of top quality and great variety. Loved the fresh fruit and banana pancakes. The tours were easy to organise at short notice, however, we weren't pressurised i to taking tours. Waterproof bags, torches and towels were supplied for our trip to the lake. I had very high hopes for our trip to Khao Sok, and Montania made it a reality. Thank you!

Tolles,herzliches Personal. Für alle die im Resort sind,gibt es jeden Tag kostenfrei einen Nachmittagssnack mit Getränk - pluspunkt für die Aufmerksamkeit. Leider werden die Zimmer nicht gereinigt. Wir hatten an Tag 2 schon kein Duschgel und keine Handtücher mehr,denn diese wurden nicht wieder "aufgefüllt". Der Wasserdruck variiert stark,je nach Nutzung der anderen Gäste, aber zum Haare waschen (gerade für die Frauen ;)) guter Wasserdruck für Thailändische Verhältnisse. Die Lage ist toll,mit Blick auf die Wunderschönen Berge. Der Pool war zwar keine Erfrischung mehr #Hitzewelle, aber nett ihn genutzt zu haben. Alles in allem eine Tolle Anlage mit kleinen Schönheitsfehlern (Reinigung der Zimmer,Sauberkeit im Pool)aber sehr herzlichem Personal.

L hôtel est magnifique. Nous avions pris les bungalows qui ont tous une vue sur la montagne. Le cadre est vraiment superbe. Mais ce qui fait vraiment le plus de cet hôtel c est la gentillesse des deux dames de la réception. J ai eu l occasion de pas mal bouger en Thaïlande et c est vraiment l endroit où j ai trouvé le plus d attention. Elles sont vraiment adorables et aux petits soins a chaque fois et sans rien demander ! Vraiment un grand merci a elles! Vous devez venir dans cet hôtel pour vivre une vraie expérience thaï

Had a wonderful time here. The rustic bungalows have a special charm and you can see they go out of their way to make the experience enjoyable. Shout out to Nok Nok the manager, who brought us tea and Thai snacks and who always greeted us with a friendly smile. The grounds are beautiful and the views from the cabins are incredible. Its close enough to town that you can walk to all the shops and restaurants, national park entrance etc, but also far enough to enjoy the quiet and solitude. Highly recommend

The rooms are comfortable, the property scenic, and the staff exceedingly accomrodatting. My only suggestion for how they could improve the experience for the guests: housekeeping comes in the late afternoon, the time when most guests are wanting to relax in their rooms before going out for the evening. There was one issue with cleanliness that I addressed directly with staff.

The staff was exceptional! They were really helpful with any questions and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location was perfect for us. We were able go walk through all the restaurants and down to the national park entrances within 15mins. The staff helped organize a canoe tour even though it was pouring rain which really made our day considering it was nonstop raining for the past 48hours. Luckily midway through our tour the sun started to peak out. 10/10 recommend. The AC was directed to our bed which was a little uncomfortable but the restroom and room its self was fully stocked and tidy. Again, the staff really went above and beyond so if we decide to return this is the place we are staying at!

Amazing staff!!! Everyone there especially front desk and tours went above and beyond to be friendly, helpful, and just plain awesome. Expressed genuine concern for medical conditions when booking the overnight lake tour and private transfer afterwards, even going so far as to suggest a shorter and less expensive package. They even gave me the location of another tour office/hotel that might have something better (they didn’t) And when I insisted I would be fine with the overnight they called to make sure the hours for electricity on the lake would be suitable. They arranged a transfer to Phuket to meet me at the lake and bring my large luggage so I wouldn’t have to go back to the hotel 1 hr to get it. The food at the hotel was excellent. The accommodations for the price were good. You are in the middle of the forest so as long as you aren’t expecting city luxury you’ll be happy. Some noise from the rain forest at night but that’s going to be everywhere. They had a nice pool area and are constructing more cabins.

Just exceptional staff, spoke great English, made it easy to book different excursions. Go check out Cheow Lan Lake for sure. Room was clean, they gave free snacks, A/C worked very well. Beautiful pool. Really close to the village and restaurants, only a 5 min walk. Highly recommend it.

The staff‘s friendliness was extraordinary. They were so attentive. In the afternoons we got little snacks and they bought coconuts for us. Thank you so much May and Noknok! You made our stay very special! We stayed 10 days in Khao Sok and loved it. The resort is quiet, the pool mostly empty and the trips to the national park unforgettable. The cabins are a little rustic, but guarantee you privacy. Thank you for this special time!

Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! Appeared to be family run and they arranged all of our transfers by email. When we went on our longtail boat lake tour(excellent)they arranged it and provided towels, waterproof bags and headlamps. Little town within walking distance had great food and even a place to get a latte. We did not want to leave.

We would recommend staying at this accommodation wholeheartedly. The staff and management are the best and friendliest we have experienced in all of our travels around Thailand. Nok Nok ( hope that is the correct spelling!) went above and beyond providing a knowledgable, helpful and personal advice. We were sad to leave and would return in a heartbeat.

This property is so unique. The atmosphere is very peaceful . The staff are exceptional. May at front desk organised all details for our next stop. Somme, the chef of all chefs cooked many delicious meals for us. She also makes afternoon tea and cake delivered to your room or pool. All wonderful.

The property itself is quite nice and the location at the edge of town makes it convenient for walking while being quiet. We stayed in the original buildings which were clean, but a little tired, the bungalows looked nice but we did not see it. We were only in and out for 2 nights and only there to sleep - it was clean. A solid 3 star hotel, but once you've been to this area - I don't see a reason to go back

I can’t even begin to describe how perfect this hotel was! The staff was INCREDIBLE, especially madame Mae who went above and beyond to arrange tours and shuttles for us. At one point the staff even brought us afternoon tea. Perfectly located next to the park. Above and beyond my expeditions. If you are going to Khao Sok, you should definitely look into montania!

Fantastic location and beautiful scenery. Staff very accommodating; couldn’t do more for us! Unfortunately, the bed sheets and pillows were stained in 4 different places. Looked like coffee and makeup. Reception not 24/7 so couldn’t contact as it was later after dinner. Made for an unpleasurable sleep.

We hebben ontzettend genoten van ons verblijf in t hotel: de rust die er was, de geluiden van de dieren maakt dat ik er nog vaak naar terug verlang. Het ontbijt was zeer goed en met zorg samengesteld. De bediening/service was perfect! We kregen aan t eind van de middag heel lief thee met iets lekkers erbij aangeboden. Via het hotel hebben we een halve dag op de rivier geboekt op een bamboe vlot met een bezoek aan een hele aardige familie waar we hun olifant mochten voeren en wassen. Hele leuke aktiviteit en genoten van de toer op de rivier. Alles bij elkaar; een geweldige plek om een dag of vier te zijn in t plaatsje Khao Sok en vooral t Montania hotel! Een aanrader!!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. May was always smiling and took very good care of our needs. The room was very rustic but probably one of the nicest for the area. Breakfast was fresh and awesome every morning! Would definitely recommend!

Very good experience. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff is amazing and help you out with anything you need. You can easily book tours and transport from the hotel. Very good breakfast.

Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! Appeared to be family run and they arranged all of our transfers by email. When we went on our longtail boat lake tour(excellent)they arranged it and provided towels, waterproof bags and headlamps. Little town within walking distance had great food and even a place to get a latte. We did not want to leave.

Lief en gul personeel. Helemaal bijgekomen met heerlijk eten, zwembad en massage. Middagsnacks en minibar inbegrepen. Bananen pannenkoekjes heerlijk. Blokhut knus en comfortabel! Een ‘GO’ voor mij, meest relaxte verblijf in twee weken tijd!

Montania is located in the rain forest but has all the comforts. The airconditioning is excellent, the beds are very comfortable and the traditional cottages are quaint and exceptionally neat and clean. The staff are most welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight with the food being of top quality and great variety. Loved the fresh fruit and banana pancakes. The tours were easy to organise at short notice, however, we weren't pressurised i to taking tours. Waterproof bags, torches and towels were supplied for our trip to the lake. I had very high hopes for our trip to Khao Sok, and Montania made it a reality. Thank you!

We enjoyed very much our staying for two nights at March. Our room was tidy and staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent; fresh and delicious. Also coffee was great! Lovely atmosphere and beautiful garden. Thank you!

This property is so unique. The atmosphere is very peaceful . The staff are exceptional. May at front desk organised all details for our next stop. Somme, the chef of all chefs cooked many delicious meals for us. She also makes afternoon tea and cake delivered to your room or pool. All wonderful.

For the price, I honestly don’t have anything meaningful to complain about. What really makes this place stand out is the staff. Super friendly and helpful and not just trying to sell you things. I would stay here again. Positives to mention: * The staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and helpful. They recommended tours, but also suggested alternatives and never pressured us to book through the hotel. * They helped us arrange a taxi to Ratchaprapha Dam for our accommodation there even though we didn’t book it through them, and again gave us multiple options instead of pushing one service. * Excellent value for the price. We extended our stay by one night. * Cozy rooms, a nice pool, and a complimentary afternoon snack with a drink and pastry. * The restaurant at the hotel was good too. Slightly more expensive than nearby places, but the food was worth it, and they even made us something that wasn’t on the menu. If I had to nitpick: * Breakfast is on the simpler side. There isn’t a huge selection, but everything we had tasted good. * The AC in one of our rooms was positioned a bit awkwardly, so it could get a little cold. Overall very priceworthy. The staff were all very nice. Room could have been cleaned and smelled fresh. Blanket has stains. Breakfast was good. They had a wide variety of food . Internet was pretty good . No elevator. Provided hygiene items. Provided a few snacks and daily water.

Was helemaal prima! Super lekker ontbijt, wel maar tot 9.30 helaas. Ze bieden ook een leuke tour aan naar Khao Sok. Echt de moeite waard. Wat wij wel minder vonden is dat er geen Grab te boeken is vanuit het hotel. Maar je kan wel een minivan naar Phuket krijgen via het CocoHostel iets verderop! Personeel spreekt wel slecht Engels of met een zwaar accent waardoor het soms moeilijk is om te communiceren. Verder wel heel behulpzaam. Het zit in een leuke en levendige straat.
