We enjoyed the lovely home and surrounding neighborhood. Walking distance to fireworks for the 4th. We felt very safe with our 3 children as well. The plants in the back patio are amazing, making you feel almost like you are in the jungle - but not. Beds are AMAZING! My kids even said they slept wonderfully. I greatly appreciate the owners quick responses when we had questions as well. Thank you!!

The location was wonderful and the home was historic and beautiful! What a great place! It was well stocked and had some little things you may have forgotten-like sunscreen! It was easy to make a meal in the large kitchen and wash up some clothes in the laundry room mid-week. It was our first time in New Orleans. We rode the Blue Bikes for 95% of our trip, planned ahead and took our helmets. Even biked to the grocery store nearby. There was a dock just a little over 1 block away. There were 4 of us, so sometimes we split up to get bikes. The next dock was only 3 blocks away. It was a perfect way to really see the city. There are docks in MANY places and an app that makes them easy to locate. Went to La Petite Clouette Coffee shop for fabulous pastries and quiche, Pizza Delicious with that crunchy crust bottom crust and The Country Club for amazing food and awesome entertainment!!!! The hosts were super responsive and helpful with any questions. There was soooo much more to see and do, in the Bywater neighborhood and in New Orleans! We will come back and stay right here for sure, it will feel like home

A foray to the Big Easy in August is not for the faint of heart - it was HOT and humid during our stay, but Daniel and Jon's VRBO in the Bywater was the perfect respite - clean, cool, and inviting. We chose this rental because of it's location in a great neighborhood and that it had 3 distinct bedroom areas so each member of our group could have their own space and bed. But, this rental was so much more than it's location and layout! Communication about the rental was excellent and timely from the moment we made reservation until we left. The rental was very clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, having everything and more that someone could potentially need while on vacation. The beds were inviting, kitchen easy to navigate, and bathroom had a claw foot tub. The unit had beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a delightful back patio area. Because our time in NOLA was during August, I would like to rave about the air conditioning - it was GREAT!!! It allowed us to actually sleep at night and feel refreshed each morning. If you happen to be in New Orleans over the weekend, don't miss brunch at The Country Club across the street from this rental; reservations strongly advised. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in New Orleans and look forward to staying at this VRBO again. Thanks for a great visit!!!

we loved our stay here, the house had a great location, friendly hosts, a really good amount of space, all the basic amenities, and really good A/C, which was a lifesaver in the 90 degree weather. Only downside was that the wi-fi signal was pretty spotty, but we just worked from nearby cafes which was better anyway. Would 100% stay here again next time im in nola!

We were only there for one night, but we were all very comfortable. Parking was difficult because of the traffic from the club across the street, but we were still able to park within 2 blocks of the house. The hosts were great! I see why the property has so many good reviews.

Great find in a cute neighborhood, alive with restaurants, bars, music and thrifting. The unit was lovely, and we enjoyed the garden in the back in the mornings and evenings. The nights were quiet. Short ride to French Quarter and other neighborhoods. It was a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

This property was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed and the living room with cable and Netflix was nice as well. The bathroom had a strange smell emanating from it and the shower curtains were gross. We replaced them with new shower curtains. We loved the backyard area! Every Lyft/Uber driver that dropped us off said that we were staying in a very nice neighborhood and we were right across from the country club. On our last afternoon we were attempting to use the dryer for our jackets after being drenched in the storm and the housekeeper for the connecting unit gave us a little trouble. Overall, great trip.

Love the Bywater and this place is perfectly situated. Spacious with high ceilings and very clean. It is a typical shotgun duplex situation and we were able to hear our neighbors when they got rowdy, but we were expecting that! The host is very responsive and kind, even mailing us the kindle my husband left under a pillow. Would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I just finished a 5 night vacation in the Bywater and we could not have been more pleased with this property. It was exactly as advertised, very clean and spacious, and had all the amenities anyone could need. The hosts were super nice and the location was excellent. I highly recommend this property and when we come back to the Bywater we will definitely stay here again.

Location was great. Very convenient to French Quarter, Aquarium and the Superdome. We had but of a mixup with check-in, but the owner responded quickly. Thankfully, the person staying in the adjacent unit was very understanding when we entered our key code and it unlocked her unit and we walked in on her. A bit awkward LOL, but again she was very understanding. Key code we were given worked on her door as well as the one next door that we were actually staying in (same owner). The home was decorated nicely and the beds were extremely comfortable! I will say the only real negative was the unit did have fleas mostly in the front living room so we did not hang out in there much. If we were staying more than one night it would have been an issue, however we were only in town for one night so we made the most of it. I messaged the host upon our departure to let them know they may want to have it treated.

We had a great stay at this little house in New Orleans! The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do. The house itself was cute, clean, and full of charm. It had a cozy, welcoming feel, and my family really enjoyed our time there. It was the perfect home base for exploring the city, and we’d definitely stay again!

The property was great looking and set up well for families or couples (who know each other well); it’s a shotgun with doors between the rooms for privacy. The property was very clean and had everything we needed, including extra towels. Getting into the quarter was an easy walk and hopping a rideshare was also fast. If it is available, book this place in Bywater.

Absolutely amazing classic shotgun style apartment/duplex in a great location in the Bywater neighborhood. Located on a quiet street, walking distance to great local restaurants, bars and shops. Apartment was clean, comfortable and fully appointed with all necessary amenities. Beds were so comfortable, ceiling fans in each bedroom made for comfortably cool nights. Jonathan was a perfect host, great communicator snd allowed for late check out so we could make the most of our time. Recommend breakfast at Elizabeth’s just a 5-10 min walk, and short neighborhood walks to Vaughn’s for drinks, Baccannal Wine Bar, St Germain’s Wine Bar or vintage shopping at Tiger Rag Vintage or Lowtimers. Short uber/Lyft to Magazine St, French Quarter, lower Garden District. Came for a girls-trip but perfect for a couples getaway - will definitely stay again!

Rooms were great, location was excellent. It is a duplex, so you can hear the footsteps and conversations of people next door. I had earplugs and a white noise machine so it was fine for us. The mattresses are VERY soft, fair warning to anyone with a bad back. I would totally stay here again for location alone (my husband and I had to sleep in separate beds due to mattress).

A perfect stay in NOLA! The place was well stocked with all the necessaries and decorated impeccably. The location was amazing. Close enough to the action without being right in the center of it all. Hosts were lovely. Would definitely stay here again!

I’ve visited NOLA many times, but typically in the Uptown area. It was very nice trying a new neighborhood. There was lots to do within walking distance, and the French quarter was only a few mins via Uber. The house was nice, we had 5 guests and felt pretty well accommodated, the bathroom could feel cramped at times. Otherwise, the house was well stocked and comfy. The only negative I had was that the neighbors in the other unit sounded nearly crystal clear through the wall at times. It could get a bit noisy, with their music, opening the pocket doors, and rolling in and out their bags. I get that it’s a shotgun house and there is a door that leads into that unit so it can be hard to avoid, but we were abruptly awoken a few times throughout our trip.

The property was great looking and set up well for families or couples (who know each other well); it’s a shotgun with doors between the rooms for privacy. The property was very clean and had everything we needed, including extra towels. Getting into the quarter was an easy walk and hopping a rideshare was also fast. If it is available, book this place in Bywater.

Absolutely amazing classic shotgun style apartment/duplex in a great location in the Bywater neighborhood. Located on a quiet street, walking distance to great local restaurants, bars and shops. Apartment was clean, comfortable and fully appointed with all necessary amenities. Beds were so comfortable, ceiling fans in each bedroom made for comfortably cool nights. Jonathan was a perfect host, great communicator snd allowed for late check out so we could make the most of our time. We book this location for our Christmas trip and it was wonderful! The neighborhood was beautiful and within walking distance to the downtown area, between 20-30 mins for us. The house was also beautiful and perfect for our family. We enjoyed it so much!

This property was gorgeous and in a perfect location! Squeaky clean and 14 foot ceilings!!! The decor was awesome and the beds are superior. We absolutely loved it.

Love the Bywater and this place is perfectly situated. Spacious with high ceilings and very clean. It is a typical shotgun duplex situation and we were able to hear our neighbors when they got rowdy, but we were expecting that! The host is very responsive and kind, even mailing us the kindle my husband left under a pillow. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was great. Very convenient to French Quarter, Aquarium and the Superdome. We had but of a mixup with check-in, but the owner responded quickly. Thankfully, the person staying in the adjacent unit was very understanding when we entered our key code and it unlocked her unit and we walked in on her. A bit awkward LOL, but again she was very understanding. Key code we were given worked on her door as well as the one next door that we were actually staying in (same owner). The home was decorated nicely and the beds were extremely comfortable! I will say the only real negative was the unit did have fleas mostly in the front living room so we did not hang out in there much. If we were staying more than one night it would have been an issue, however we were only in town for one night so we made the most of it. I messaged the host upon our departure to let them know they may want to have it treated.

This was one of the most beautiful houses we’ve stayed in and the location was amazing for our short stay! There were cute local food and shops walking distance to the house, and it was a short drive to all of well known spots we wanted to see on our trip! The host was very friendly and helpful and the food recommendations came in handy. Thank you so much for the beautiful home for my family and pets!

Great little spot. Tidy. Had character. Quiet neighborhood. Pizza Delicious the next block over was great. The bar on the corner was perfect for a low key night cap. The owners were great at communicating. Would definitely recommend.

Daniel and Jon were fantastic hosts--communicative, responsive, and friendly. We rolled in later at night on a Sunday and settled ourselves before walking across the street to a neighborhood bar that was still going strong. After dog walking in the beautiful river park (on the other side of the levee wall) n the mornings, we found local coffee/breakfast walking in every direction, and would go back to any of them. More space than we needed but nice to have the room. Shotgun style allowed us to sleep further from the street noise (never to a problematic level, but active). We didn't spend much time at the house but it was a perfect landing site in between sightseeing. The roads are tight so once we parked Sunday, we opted for Lyfts and walking. 30 min leisurely walk to French Quarter and quick rides just about everywhere else. Really appreciated the location (& AC) and ease of hosts. If they'll have us, we'll be back.

We were only there for one night, but we were all very comfortable. Parking was difficult because of the traffic from the club across the street, but we were still able to park within 2 blocks of the house. The hosts were great! I see why the property has so many good reviews.

We had a great stay at Jon and Dan’s place. They helped field a number of questions in the months leading up to our trip that I sent through VRBO messaging and were responsive by phone and messaging as needed throughout our stay. The house is a twin, both sides are vacation rentals, and year-round neighbors on the block were very welcoming and are friends with Jon and Dan. (A positive relationship with neighbors is the most important aspect of staying in a vacation rental).It is a shotgun house so all of the bedrooms are also hallways either to the kitchen and yard, bathroom, or living room and front door. (We were prepared for the limited privacy). The kitchen table has seating for only two people, and the backyard has a bigger 4-6 person table. You could probably bring extra chairs into the kitchen but it’s kinda tight and not a lot of food prep space, though there are plenty of utensils, dishes and basic tools (including bakeware).The location is so nice. Walkable to crescent park, across the street from the country club, near a park with a playground, and close to other great shopping, restaurants and bars, and cultural spots (beanlandia and Studio Be).We had a great stay and appreciate such thoughtful hosts and comfortable space.

The house was super cute and spacious. Very clean. We enjoyed the walking distance to the French Quarter. Found many great restaurants. Parking on street seemed like it would be tricky and then a spot opened up right in front of house. The only hiccup was we didn’t receive entrance code until about 1 1/2 hrs after our check in time. Not sure if app wasn’t responding to owner. Owner finally called us back . They were quick to respond the rest of our stay. We would stay here again.

We enjoyed the lovely home and surrounding neighborhood. Walking distance to fireworks for the 4th. We felt very safe with our 3 children as well. The plants in the back patio are amazing, making you feel almost like you are in the jungle - but not. Beds are AMAZING! My kids even said they slept wonderfully. I greatly appreciate the owners quick responses when we had questions as well. Thank you!!

Myself and two friends stayed for 5 nights here and it truly was the best block in the Bywater. Walkable to so many beautiful neighborhood spots, close to the French quarter, and a beautiful home to relax in. Dan was so responsive and accommodating! Would definitely stay again and recommend!

My wife and I just finished a 5 night vacation in the Bywater and we could not have been more pleased with this property. It was exactly as advertised, very clean and spacious, and had all the amenities anyone could need. The hosts were super nice and the location was excellent. I highly recommend this property and when we come back to the Bywater we will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time staying in NOLA at this property. It really is a great street in the bywater, and it's only about a 20 min walk to the French Quarter and a grocery store. There is so much to do and see that's within walking distance. And to top it off, the owners, Dan & Jon are attentive and fabulous. We definately plan to return!

Great find in a cute neighborhood, alive with restaurants, bars, music and thrifting. The unit was lovely, and we enjoyed the garden in the back in the mornings and evenings. The nights were quiet. Short ride to French Quarter and other neighborhoods. It was a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

House was cozy yet spacious; nice reprieve when it got too hot outside as the house temperature was always pleasant. Lovely backyard space. Great location for food, sightseeing and drinks. Wonderful neighborhood. Hosts were helpful, welcoming, and quick to respond. All and all a perfect stay. Hope to stay again soon!

Absolutely the best location. We walked everywhere and felt extremely safe. Loved having Crescent Park just a few steps away. We were in NOLA for an extended time and had our dog with us. The park was super close and safe. Visited The Country Club, Markey’s, Pepp’s Pub, Acamaya (delicious), Evviva and Bacchanal. I’d suggest going early to Bacchanal as it was at capacity and could not find a seat. The house was beautiful! Will absolutely stay here again.
