A nice place to stay with friendly staff and decent breakfast. The gym was nice as well and not an afterthought as in many other hotels. Elevators were fast and parking was easy. Convenient location as well. Semi near Whole Foods and other stores.

It was a very clean & safe hotel, everything you would expect from a Hampton hotel. Only downside was that the pool wasn’t available.

We were very disappointed with the stay because of the entire pool area being closed for service. We chose this hotel based on the pool and jacuzzi and were shocked to find it was closed. The front desk told me that they told Expedia is was closed or not in service however on Expedia website it states the indoor pool is open. I feel we should get a refund from Expedia for our stay because it was false advertising and deceptive to list pool as an amenity when it had been closed for repair. Expedia was notified by the Hampton inn but did not remove pool from the list of hotel features. Hilton Hampton inn states they notified the company Expedia. We would not have stayed here if we had known there was no pool. We feel Expedia should refund us for our stay due to their false advertising. Our family is disappointed with our stay here and feels that we should be refunded due to this issue. Hampton inn employee told us that it states pool closed on their website. Expedia needs to have all updated information for customers to make a good choice for their vacation. False advertising and misleading information. We specifically booked this hotel for the pool! Will never use Expedia again.

The hotel is conveniently located near US-101 and it took us less than 10 minutes to get to downtown San Luis Obispo. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good with waffle machines and great coffee. Free parking was nice too as some hotels in the area charge for parking.

They had great beds, and thoughtful features such as grab bars in tub, soap in dispensers, charging station, coffee or decaf all day, breakfast, water, ice, and clean. the staff was thoughtful and nice, checkout was quick. it was nice to have a well stocked gym.

Stayed one night since we were meeting friends for a hike in Montana De Oro State Park. Convenient location right off the highway. Plenty of safe, well lit parking. It is in an area with other similar hotels plus gas stations and shopping and restaurants very close by. The hallways were brightly lit and clean, the elevators were fast and our double queen room was sparkling clean with comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and easy and quiet temperature controls. The complimentary breakfast was above and beyond what I was expecting. There were hot food offerings, oatmeal, a waffle station, cold cereal, breakfast bread and a juice bar. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. I would stay here again. I love the Hampton/Hilton Brand.

The only thing that bothered me was housekeeping. There were hairs on the shower wall from previous guests and the bed sheets were not tightly made. Almost seemed like a rush job and makes me wonder if clean sheets were used. Other than that loved the staff, breakfast, parking etc.

The hotel in general was very nice and everything looked clean. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars in some categories is because they did not do our beds or clean our room or restroom, we stayed two nights. Upon arrival I also found candy wrappers on the floor by my bed.

The floor in the room had crumbs and there was a plastic razor protector left in the shower. The lady working in the breakfast room was so nice and hospitable. I would stay here again. Hopefully it will be a little tidier.

This is my third time staying at the property. My room this stay was not like the other two rooms I stayed in, the bathroom ceiling was stained, the shower dripped for a few hours after we showered and the shower door was rusted and some of the furniture was looking very worn.

we got to the hotel at 4pm my room wasn't ready till 6pm i had a 4 hour drive i was tired and wanted to nap and payed almost 400 dollars to look at the roof that was our view and I can hear the car's off the freeway wow what a vacation

Good location if you have a car. Lots around but due to main road not really able to walk easily to diners and shops. Have to drive into the town but parking is inexpensive. Comfortable beds and pillows and large room. Did not have any conditioner in the shower but a small issue really. Breakfast was ok but not enough fresh fruit. Would stay again.

Clean. Noises in area adjacent to my room were jarring and started early morning. Heater/ac very loud, too. Hard to get to sleep.I didn’t request a “disability “ room, but that’s what they gave me . Maybe they thought I was deaf and would not hear all the noise?

Front desk staff offered us bottled water at check-in, one per person, which is thoughtful on a hot day. 3. Hot water is available all day (a big plus), across the check-in desk, if you wanted to make a cup of tea. 4. It’s nice that they always have someone at the front desk (for convenience and for security). Overall a pleasant stay!

I could only give an overall rating because i was not able to stay at this property. When i checked in around 9:30pm, they had overbooked for the hotel so they sent me to TownePlace Suites in the same area. Check in was fast and staff/service at both hotels were great. Thank you for accommodating me during this stay.

Property condition & facilities is good. Cleanliness, staff service and service was also okay. However, there was not a room available upon our check-in time. We were told that there would be a room available in 30 min. The 30 min passed and we were informed that it'll take another 45 min wait time. This was very disappointing considering we got to the hotel little after 7 p.m. and to be told there was no room available for us. Our kids were exhausted and tired by the time we got to the hotel. The wait time seemed forever in the lobby. Absolutely unacceptable.

I then arrived there an hour and a half earlier than my scheduled check in and was not able to check in early but said they would have a room ready in an hour. Check-in was ridiculous! 1st the keys didn't work. Got them re-keyed didn't work, they opened the door to find the room occupied. Gave us another room keys didn't work. Got them re-keyed. 45 minutes later got in. In the meantime I asked for a refund, they said they couldn't do that because I went through a 3rd party, which is you. So, what are you going to do to make this right?

Good location if you have a car. Lots around but due to main road not really able to walk easily to diners and shops. Have to drive into the town but parking is inexpensive. Comfortable beds and pillows and large room. Did not have any conditioner in the shower but a small issue really. Breakfast was ok but not enough fresh fruit. Would stay again.

Great stay! It was close to the freeway and close to SLO downtown, but also very close to Morro Bay and Avila Beach which is where our family spent most of our time. It worked for our two night stay.

Having stayed at three other properties in SLO, this one is located in the best place possible. You’re close to all of the downtown without feeling crowded and overrun by traffic. It is also on a boulevard that has urban shopping and restaurants in close proximity. This hotel is spotless and attractive.

The room was comfortable and unremarkable. We slept well, the AC was great, no strange smells. The room fridge didn't get cold enough, so ended up using our Igloo and the ice machine; the pool was closed for renovation which was a bummer when traveling with kids. The highlight was the breakfast with the waffle maker and toppings. The eggs, sausage, potatoes and is the heat and serve types sold to hospitals/hotels. We didn't mind and the kids looked forward to it. They subtly changed the menu each day e.g. omelette, scramble, patty sausage, sweet portugese, which was unexpectedly fun.

We always choose this hotel to stay at when available. Past few times we’ve noticed that the breakfast food is not warmed up properly. Potatoes were either cold and watery or the larger chunks were still crunchy. Other than that, everything was fine.

1. Breakfast was good (proteins available like sausage and egg, and yogurt) and convenient (self-serve in a good-sized lobby). 2. Front desk staff offered us bottled water at check-in, one per person, which is thoughtful on a hot day. 3. Hot water is available all day (a big plus), across the check-in desk, if you wanted to make a cup of tea. 4. It’s nice that they always have someone at the front desk (for convenience and for security). Overall a pleasant stay!

The hotel is conveniently located near US-101 and it took us less than 10 minutes to get to downtown San Luis Obispo. The room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good with waffle machines and great coffee. Free parking was nice too as some hotels in the area charge for parking.

Stayed one night since we were meeting friends for a hike in Montana De Oro State Park. Convenient location right off the highway. Plenty of safe, well lit parking. It is in an area with other similar hotels plus gas stations and shopping and restaurants very close by. The hallways were brightly lit and clean, the elevators were fast and our double queen room was sparkling clean with comfortable beds, plenty of pillows and easy and quiet temperature controls. The complimentary breakfast was above and beyond what I was expecting. There were hot food offerings, oatmeal, a waffle station, cold cereal, breakfast bread and a juice bar. You cannot go wrong with this hotel. I would stay here again. I love the Hampton/Hilton Brand.

We were greeted as we arrived by friendly staff. Our room was perfect, clean and comfortable beds. Our request for additional towels was prompt. Our room was on the fourth floor and near the elevator and ice machine. Breakfast was hot and ready with many food and beverage options. Not thrilled with a few things. We always book pool hotels so to find out it is out of commission and has been for a long, long time is incredibly disappointing, as it wasn't stated when booking. Our AC doesn't work properly. Have to set it to 60 to come on at night to cool off the stuffy room. There is a 5 inch crack in the bathtub which creaks when you're standing in it. I wonder what damp mold is underneath it. The bathroom feels dirty. The breakfast is the worst I've ever experienced at any hotel I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. Stuff that was out wasn't refilled fast enough and the area felt dirty. The food itself, can only be described as sad. Charging $5 each for a bottle of soda and water is extortionate. Our first Hampton inn experience, and our last. 0/5 if I could, but staff was good and none of the above appeared to be their fault. How on earth they have a 8.8/10 is beyond me. They must be paying for good reviews.

Every time we visit San Luis Obispo, we stay at the Hampton Inn. Awesome customer service, breakfast is great and clean. Coffee is easy to pour, no coffee machines to wait on… This is our third time staying there and all three times were excellent!

The breakfast food was… meh. The powder scrambled eggs were watery, the breakfast sausage both the coins on Sunday and links on Monday were way overcooked into rubbery chew toys. The make-your-own waffles were good. The only fresh fruit were bananas. The muffins and bagels they severed on Sunday were out of stock on Monday… and I was there at 7:20 am so it’s not like the kitchen was about to close. The all day coffee bar was very nice and well stocked. The outside grounds were extremely well maintained, beautiful actually. My biggest dislike was our Room. Rm 102 was at the end of the long hallway right next to an entrance/exit door which WAS NOT equipped with any soft-close hardware. At a minimum 10 or 12 times Saturday night and 2 or 3 times on Sunday night we were awakened by a loud SLAM, 20 minutes later - SLAM, another 20 minutes - SLAM, 10 minutes later - SLAM and SLAM! (I guess he forgot something in the car.) Then 30 minutes later - SLAM Just as your falling asleep again - SLAM! This went on until about 3:00 am Sunday morning . But then as guess started leaving again in the early morning… SLAM, SLAM, SLAM! You get my point. If the price is right we might book this hotel in the future but I’m d#€$ sure I’m NOT staying in Rm102.
