so over all it was a good stay…. i just feel like the pictures online don’t exactly match the real rooms… floors wer a bit sandy and furniture out dated…And some pools were closed… which was a bummer.. but over all and Okay stay…

The had a lot of the pool area closed. Most of the kiddie area which is why we went. Alot of the arcade games were old and broken. Food was lackluster. But the room was great!

The property is old and in poor maintence. 2 of the 4 elevators don\'t work. Lazy river and one pool closed because of "construction" though aside from the scaffolding, I saw no signs of any construction or renovations happening. Hot tub had cold water. Extra blankets had hair on them like they weren\'t laundered. Stains on all upholstery. Only good things were nice staff and it was right on the beach with all balconies facing ocean. Location is decent.

Great spacious room, almost like a small condo. Would have been wonderful for a week long stay if I had had more time. TVs were frustrating and the fitness centre tv didn’t really work at all. The fitness centre also only had one cable machine and no free weights. Great view though.

Very nice place but is currently under construction and we could not access our balcony and lazy river was closed but it is a nice place once all that gets done!

I liked the easy access to the beach. Updates needed to the rooms. We had several cockroaches in our room. Staff was helpful but could not refund the room because I booked through Expedia. Depending on how Expedia handles it will determine my reviews and future use of Expedia.

I had to go back to the front desk the next day and get another room key because their system was down at check in and I couldn’t pay the incidental fee so I only got a temporary room key even though I booked and paid for two nights. The tv remotes did not work and I called the desk for service and was told maintenance would come fix it. The next day I reported that the ceiling was crumbling off onto the floor/bed in the room and was told maintenance would come clean up. My room was never checked on or cleaned up the whole two days of my stay. Very unhappy with my booking.

The hotel and room was not clean at all. Very dirty and in bad condition. Nothing like photos at all. The only thing that was correct was the location and easy access to the beach. There was mold/mildew in shower. There was also what looked to be blood stains on the carpet in bedroom on one side of the bed. The toilet was leaking none of the drains worked properly. The bath tub would fill up with water when taking a shower because the drain didn’t flow good. Overall I won’t ever go back. You also have to pay for parking per night which it didn’t say anything about that. The ceiling was falling off above the bed, the air vent was so dusty it looked to never be cleaned or have the filter changed in a long time.

The popcorn ceiling was losing its popcorn all over the room and left white powder everywhere. The vent in the bathroom had what appeared to be black mold on it. Asked for towels half way through our stay and never did receive them. Had to pay for parking which was another $36. Room was old and outdated with stains on the furniture and really needed attention. We won't be staying there again. Has to be better places to stay along the beach.

Once in our room the door to the balcony had been left open. The AC automatically turns off so it was 76 degrees in the suite. The room was also dirty. There was hair in the bedspread, on the nightstand. The nightstand was dirty and sticky. I spent more time cleaning when we first arrived. The outside of the property was better maintained than the room.

The beach and pool area was beautiful, but the building and our room were very run down and as the days went on, the doorways and floors etc just got dirtier and dirtier. Seemed understaffed because no one cleaned the glass doors etc. We ended up leaving a day early because we came a long way and wanted to feel like we were staying in a clean, comfortable place.However, the beach was gorgeous and the area surrounding was great.

Dear Beach Cove Management, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below my expectations, and I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention. • The check-in process was extremely slow and unorganized, with long waiting times. • Basic amenities such as towels and tissues were not readily available and had to be requested. • Despite my prior request for a thoroughly cleaned room, the condition of the room was unacceptable: dust everywhere, poor overall cleanliness, and even drainage problems where water pooled around my ankles while showering. • The carpet in the bedroom emitted an unpleasant odor, the in-room safe was broken, and the sofa bed was in such poor condition that my husband developed back pain after sleeping on it. • To make matters worse, the property charged a $12 per day parking fee, which had never been charged before and was not communicated in advance. I have been a loyal guest at Beach Cove for many summers, always choosing your property for our family vacations. However, this time I was shocked and disappointed by the decline in standards. I no longer feel confident recommending Beach Cove to anyone, and unless these issues are addressed seriously, I will not be returning. I urge you to take immediate action to correct these problems and restore the level of service and quality that guests rightfully expect. Sincerely, customer

Property is well maintained. Rooms are nice. There's no maid service during your stay, which is frustrating when you run out of toilet paper or dishwasher soap. You have to buy laundry soap to wash your towels yourself. At least there is a washer and dryer in the unit. Rooms aren't cleaned very well. I had to move an end table when something spilled and you could tell it had never been moved or cleaned under. It's not the worst place though and is mostly clean. Was glad the balconies were back open for our visit.

From the moment walked in I was greeted and taken care of and the staff was super friendly . room was good and had great views. It was aged but the room was clean and had everything we needed. When I say aged just the beds need to be replaced with newer ones I’m a big guy and although I slept ok I was sore in the morning. Great dining and shopping close by (Barefoot Landing) . I will definitely stay again for my late summer trips .

Location was excellent. Beach view from the room was amazing. Only disadvantage was the rooms were very noisy. Doors bang with loud noise, car and bike alarms from parking zone, were very disturbing in the night.

I enjoyed my stay at Beach Cove Resort! The room was very cute, although a little dated. The beds were SUPER uncomfortable. But I enjoyed everything else about my stay. The pool area was nice and very clean and the walk to the beach wasn't very long at all. I would most likely stay here again.

PRO- Great location in that it’s close to Barefoot Landing. Great view from every room. The way the hotel is laid out, everyone gets a great view of the ocean. Lots of parking available. CON-Rooms are pretty dated. Not a major problem for us as we don’t spend much time in the room. Our room also had some mold issues around where the AC comes out. Phone in bedroom didn’t work either which normally wouldn’t matter but we had a security issue in the middle of the night and it took almost 10 minutes of googling to find a # to call the front desk so having a working phone in our room would have been great in that moment. Limited food options available. Went into the entertainment center restaurant and there was no staff. Not sure if they are struggling to find people or what the deal was there. We tried twice going in with no luck. So just kinda gave up on that option. I’d recommend stocking up on what you need at the store or go out to eat. Went to enjoy a drink at the pool bar after a few hours on the beach. There were no posted times on it, so we asked a staff member when it opened and her response was they open when someone shows up. So that was less than helpful. Finally got a drink an hour later and there were ants in it. Took it to back to the bartender and she acted as though she didn’t believe us. But then remade the drink when she saw one floating.

Went to enjoy a drink at the pool bar after a few hours on the beach. There were no posted times on it, so we asked a staff member when it opened and her response was they open when someone shows up. So that was less than helpful. Finally got a drink an hour later and there were ants in it. Took it to back to the bartender and she acted as though she didn’t believe us. But then remade the drink when she saw one floating.

This building needs a major upgrade. Oh and be prepared, there is a $200 refundable security deposit. Our room had a great view and nice kitchen area. But the air handler was so loud all night.

Popcorn ceiling falling on my face all night as I attempted to sleep. Overall condition of property is in poor shape. Front counter folks could use some training on how to be friendly. Would not suggest this property to anyone. Did not stay the second night, got on the road after a business dinner at 9:00 pm and arrived home around 1:30 am.

Of all the places we have traveled to, this place was by far the worst. Rundown, dirty, poor inattentive personel, trashy accommodations, on and on. How this place operates is beyond us. Worn out furnite, tv not working water on carpet fron ran, mold in vents, graffiti on the inner bathreeom door!! Appalled...Oh, did i say they lost a delivered packed to me and it didnt matter or care. Boxes left on a counter for anyone to take. No help in the cafe....

Overall the hotel was clean, however there was no daily room service. Had to call for clean towels, which were promptly delivered. Trash had to go to dumpster at end of hall, or placed in hallway for removal by staff. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay there again

Loved the place but the check-in was awful. It took over an hour because they couldn’t find our booking, then found the email but not the actual stay so the customer service person only activated our cards and parking pass for one night and made us come back to the desk for the additional night the next morning. It was a hassle and should’ve been much easier. Also, the parking is terrible.

Booked our room through Expedia and when we checked in it was NOT the room we thought we booked. Dirty and outdated…no hot water, the TV’s didn’t work, bedroom door did not close and it was filthy. I reached out to Expedia and they suggested I reach out to the hotel manager in the morning. When I spoke with the manager she immediately gave me a room key to another available room to look at. Not only did she promptly switch our room but she gave my kids $20 worth of gift cards for the arcade and $100 restaurant voucher. So incredibly grateful that she was so gracious, helpful and respectful.

Dear Beach Cove Management, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below my expectations, and I feel compelled to bring these issues to your attention. • The check-in process was extremely slow and unorganized, with long waiting times. • Basic amenities such as towels and tissues were not readily available and had to be requested. • Despite my prior request for a thoroughly cleaned room, the condition of the room was unacceptable: dust everywhere, poor overall cleanliness, and even drainage problems where water pooled around my ankles while showering. • The carpet in the bedroom emitted an unpleasant odor, the in-room safe was broken, and the sofa bed was in such poor condition that my husband developed back pain after sleeping on it. • To make matters worse, the property charged a $12 per day parking fee, which had never been charged before and was not communicated in advance. I have been a loyal guest at Beach Cove for many summers, always choosing your property for our family vacations. However, this time I was shocked and disappointed by the decline in standards. I no longer feel confident recommending Beach Cove to anyone, and unless these issues are addressed seriously, I will not be returning. Accommodation was overall quite nice and well equipped. Beachfront view was lovely. The check in experience was challenging. First attempt to check in was terrible. Property was great. Rooms are awesome size and well stocked with dishes, cookware, towels, etc. Perfect location…right on the beach and amazing shopping and dining just 1/4 mile. I would absolutely stay here again.

Pools were clean and warm, the bar girl was awesome, ocean is close and theres a spot to wash you feet off when you get back to the reaort. Barefoot Landing is within walking distance with lots of restaurants and stores. All atound we had an amazing time

Staying at the Beach Cove Resort is one of the best vacation spot I think I ever had! This place is so clean, friendly staff and lots to do for the kids. I have no complaints and this is where I will always stay because it has the conscience of home. Shopping at the Tanger Outlets is right down the street with the Board Walk Pavillon about 14 minutes away for more shopping, restaurants & a ton rides for the kids. Thank you Myrtle Beach for being the best place to relax with fun N the Sun & thank you Beach Cove Resort for being top notch N my book. Wilson Family from Dallas, NC

I researched many websites about this place before finally committing. The reviews were all over the place, from “never again” to “I’ll be back.” People have very different expectations so I knew the truth was someplace in the middle. I’m from Cape Cod and we have many old resorts ranging from cheap to overpriced, and I’ve spent a lot of time in many of them. With that said, I’ve very happy we chose the Beach Cove Resort. North Myrtle, where this resort is located, is far enough away from the craziness of the strand and felt very safe for families. It’s located within walking distance of a few great restaurants, and even a bit further up from Barefoot Landing which was an awesome place to eat and shop. The staff at the hotel was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Housekeeping does not come daily for extended stays like ours, but brought us towels whenever we requested. The pool maintenance crew worked so hard to keep the pools clean and safe, and it showed. The only negatives I found were the elevators were kind of slow during high traffic hours, and a bit sandy and hot. There was no complimentary coffee, tea or continental breakfast. The breakfast buffet was pricey for the options they offered. We didn’t eat at the other on-site dining but did enjoy the Breezes Beach Bar thoroughly! The location was perfect, the beach spacious and clean. Parking was ample, free and on-site in a garage. We’ll be back!!

We had a great stay at the Beach Cove Resort! We have never stayed in north Myrtle Beach before and it was definitely more relaxing than south. This resort is very close to barefoot landing and one of the tanger outlets so there is lots to do. The hotel is nice and it have everything you could need! Pools, arcade, bar, food! Thank you for the great stay!!

I have never left a review before but I find this necessary to leave. I vacationed with my 11 year old daughter, my best friend and her 2 daughters (8 & 14 y/o). We last minute had to change our trip from Florida due to weather conditions to Myrtle. I am very familiar with the area as I lived in NC for years so it was a no brainer. I have never stayed here before but condos are the way to go with a bigger group! Check in was pretty simple, I wasn’t aware there is a $10 a day fee for parking, also a $28 fee to check in early. Doesn’t really make sense to me if the room is ready we shouldn’t have to pay but regardless we were happy to check in and get settled. Our room wasn’t anything special but it was perfect for us. 2 queen bed with a Murphy bed pull out in the kitchenette. From what it looked like without looking too hard it was “ok” cleanliness wise. There was an ice machine which was nice, the essentials for silverware, plates and pans. A broom was discovered in the bedroom closet the last day we were there so keep that in mind. The bathroom was not clean at all. The drop ceiling looked water damaged, the vent was black and would leak on you as you washed up. A weird door in the bathroom had dirt and dust all around the crevices which just grossed us out. We made the best of everything and were really not girls to complain but coming from us supposed to stay at the W in fort Lauderdale to last minute booking here we didn’t have much time to look around.

We enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean upon arrival. Most the staff was nice and helpful except for the few security guards more worried about drinking and flirting with women at the bar inside. They were being loud and obnoxious while people were trying to sit and eat. Some people got up and left and the security people and bar tender just allowed them to yell and scream with families trying to eat. The hotel is nice but needs some major updating just about everywhere but it is still nice. The pools and pool side bar was nice. Pools were clean. Id book and stay here again in the future!

If you are traveling with a child who is still in diapers, please read this review and save yourself by staying elsewhere. This was my family's first visit to Myrtle Beach. We loved the city, but were very unimpressed with the property and will not be returning. Pros: the room itself was nice enough and the pools were good. We loved how close we were to the beach. Cons: I booked this property because it claimed to be family friendly. We had our 4 month old and a four year old with us. The property did not have a changing station in ANY of their public restrooms. When I asked a staff member where I should go to change his diaper, they suggested the bathroom on the floor. I was so upset by both her tone and the unsanitary suggestion. Also, the food is inedible.

The Reception staff were not too friendly specially since this was our first time here. You would think they would want to give a good welcome to guest. the overall staff seems to be short. We tried to patronize the restaurant, on a Saturday lunch hour, they have only one staff to serve, bar is closed and it’s college football games ON. TVs were not even on for the games. Took forever for the food. Sunday night, a noise like someone was building something cause we could heard nails or screws dropping, banging and moving around until 11:30 pm. Reported to front desk but all they said was that ‘they found no source where it was coming from’ but it did stop after we complained. So it appeared that they knew what’s going on. The next morning, same noises was happening by 9am. Our unit was great even though it does need some attention.

Overall decent stay. When we went down to eat the lady at the bar kinda acted like she didn't want to deal with us. She stared blankly while we ordered, never greeted, never smiled. Didnt even have anything to write the order down on. But that was the worst part of the trip so I'd say it all went pretty well.

Our room at this resort was very spacious and clean for the most part. My only complaint on the cleanliness of our room was the floor! It was gritty like it hadn't been swept before we arrived. I asked for someone to come and vacuum and was told they would bring me a broom to sweep myself!! THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE BEFORE I GOT THERE!! The pool chairs were totally filthy!! I heard many guest complaints at the pool about the chairs being so nasty!! Ive seen pool maintenance at any hotel I've ever been to spray them down every morning when cleaning the pool!! Lastly, COFFEE!! There is a small coffee pot in room with 1 pack of complimentary coffee! Otherwise, you dont get coffee until after 7am when they start serving breakfast in the lobby and hope you dont want any coffee after 10/11am!! Almost $6 for my husband and I to have coffee every morning, right at $20 per adult to eat breakfast (fruit muffins cereal) and $10 per child!! Overall, just ok!

I heard many guest complaints at the pool about the chairs being so nasty!! Ive seen pool maintenance at any hotel I've ever been to spray them down every morning when cleaning the pool!! Lastly, COFFEE!! There is a small coffee pot in room with 1 pack of complimentary coffee! Otherwise, you dont get coffee until after 7am when they start serving breakfast in the lobby and hope you dont want any coffee after 10/11am!! Almost $6 for my husband and I to have coffee every morning, right at $20 per adult to eat breakfast (fruit muffins cereal) and $10 per child!! Overall, just ok!

It was not a bad experience for the price I expected a little more of an updated room. The shower and hair in it, and that is a huge NO for me, lucky my husband cleaned it out. The linen for the pull out couch had hair on it as well, so we didn’t use the particular piece with the hair on it. The pictures I saw on hotel.com were misleading, we did not expect the rooms to be outside like a motel setup. Also we stayed on Tower B side and there was only 1 set of elevators and it was times where we waited 20+ minutes for an elevator to come that wasn’t completely full. We stayed 1 night so those issues were not that significant, but I definitely would probably stay somewhere else if we are staying longer.

The room was clean. And seems like a nice place. We were unfortunate to get a room that had not hot water. Ask the front desk to have it checked and to send up 4 towel sets. Returned back after being gone for multiple hours no towel sets or hot water still in the shower. Decided to leave a day early. When checking out early the lady at the desk as how everything was I explained this all to her as was extremely apologetic and ask if they offered to move us to another room. I replied no and the hot water and towels never arrived. She said she couldn’t give back my money since we went through hotels.com however would refund the parking fee which hasn’t shown up as a credit back yet. She was extremely nice and I wish we would have gotten to deal with her the first time as we would have stayed the entire time.

Spacious room and very quiet for sleeping. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Close to walk down to beach. Pools were nice for cooling off.
