Vagabond Inn Buttonwillow North I-5

Rate was $39. So what should I expect? The bar is low. But I wanted to save money and had a clean bed and room. Was not grossed out, but when I spent the next night in a different town I really felt the difference. Again cheap hotel and not a Hilton. I needed a place to crash, get up early and get on the road - it did it's job. That being said the free breakfast is awful. coffee machine didnt work, milk sitting on counter for who knows how long and aside from waffles that was pretty much it. I ate at McDonalds. But like I said, if you need a place to sleep and then get back on the road this works.

Painted bath tub. Mold in wall. Missing furniture and parts. Horrible

Room not too clean but they had changed the bedding and towels. I found the bed comfortable. Bed too soft for hubby; made his back hurt. Microwave and fridge worked. Air conditioning worked. Breakfast left much to be desired… terrible coffee! Poor food. Almost no choices. They did have Raisin Bran so that was a plus. My family had waffles… no butter. It was cheap, easily accessible, easy parking and close to gas, truck stop, fast food.

The light above the sink wasn't working, the handle in the shower pulls away from the wall when turning on and off. Needs some repair and updating. Very noisy being close to freeway. Breakfast was one kind of cereal, waffles and coffee. Left went elsewhere for breakfast. Would not stay again
