The guy at the front desk was super nice and cordial. My issue was the property. The parking lot looks terrible and needs to be resurfaced. Someone that was also nice had a large dog in the lobby that stunk up the lobby smelling like wet dog. The dog was really sweet tho. I got my shower ready and there were no linens so I had to go to the front desk. The guy at the desk looked all over and apparently laundry had not been done so there was nothing clean. We ended up having to get some from another room. The ordeal took like 20 min to figure out. I just wanted to shower and sleep. It seems to me like the management of this property is the one to blame for the issues with this property.

A lot of dirty things going on. One guy smoking and drinking outside his room, one guy at 6am polishing his car, an old van being worked on in the parking lot. Junk vehicles parked in front. Dirty Dirty, tv wasn’t working, no soap in the shower, and no towels in the room. The room wasn’t ready for us to check I.

Monica and Heather are so kind! Monica always goes above and beyond for all of the guests I saw her helping others many times. When I needed the tv and bathroom light fixed, Dino was great to help. There is a washer and dryer for guests to use which is so helpful.

Very, very basic. Absolutely no frills whatsoever. After my wife took a bath, I just had lukewarm water for my shower. That being said, it provided basic amenities for one night at a very competitive price point.

Had to wait 15 minutes for check in as a clerk wasn’t available. The toilet was dirty and there was paint tape on the ceiling from touch up. No working ice machine. Clerk not available for check out. Will never stay at another RRI.

Wow, coffee maker fridge big tv screen...but no towels bath mat kleenex or PHONE to call the front desk to ask for those things! In all fairness the front desk was immediately responsive in getting us towels (couldn't do anything about no house phone,made do with toilet paper in lieu of kleenex); this is definitely a no frills property so be forewarned! Room was reasonably clean, floor was a bit gritty but with the wind and lack of vegetation outside that's to be expected. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean and shower worked fine.

The room and property were a little run down but the room was clean and the beds were decent. When we pulled into the motel to check in, there was a big stack of garbage and mattresses. Probably just needs to be out of the sight of guests. The motel seemed to be more residents than guests. The room had a handicap bathroom which was actually really nice even tho we didn't need it. The only issue was a bad smell coming from the drain in the bathroom. That put a bit of a damper on things.

This facility is very run down, frayed cords, broken remotes, unknown greasey material left on the lamps and bathroom walls, shower head falling apart. The linens felt clean but there is no attention to detail to repaint or fix rusty handles on drawers and doors, trash sitting outside of room doors, homeless people visiting guests all hours of the night, people working on their cars in the parking lot. The walls are thin and I had to wear earplugs to not hear the visitors talking outside of guests's rooms. The staff was sufficiently curteous but no one came by to clean the room or offer me new towels, etc for the 3 days I was there and didn't advise me that room service needed to be requested. Much of the problems outside probably just has to do with it being Lompoc, but even with multiple security cameras outside I did not feel safe where I would come back with my family. I was waiting to have my truck broken into every night. I think half the people staying there are on probation and/or rehab.

While staff was friendly and tried to help as much as possible I would not recommend this property to anyone. The property is shabby, poorly maintained, rooms are smelly and the neighborhood does not look good.

Our room was disgusting. We were only there for maybe 10 and it was that terrible. The bathroom was dirty with dirty towels, there was black mold on the roof and around the toilet. Both beds had dirty sheets pillow cases, and blankets. The best part of the whole place was that there was a pile of poop on the floor. Literally in the room was poop. It so disgusting and the smell was absolutely terrible. I never experienced anything so awful. Even getting a refund was difficult. I will never stay at this hotel franchise ever again.

The front desk clerk was great. The room was filthy and had a horrible smell. Door knobs were sticky and the floors were visibly not cleaned. Bedspread was dirty. I requested a refund and left. All in all the establishment did not feel safe to me as well.

First of all the pictures do not show what this place actually is, I don’t really rate much but this hotel was the worse stay I’ve ever had, first of all there was some shady people their, looks like they were selling some substance there, bunch of homeless around and looked like there are people living in some of the rooms, the rooms were absolutely dirty, smelly and grimy, tv did not work, Fridge did not work, there was no shampoo or body wash in the restroom and since I was staying there two days I let the staff know that I needed room service and all the items that weren’t working so they said they were going to send the technician to solve all the problems but when I got back later that day absolutely nothing was done not even the room service which was absolutely frustrating not only that but the Wi-Fi is basically useless because it constantly looses signal this was just my experience so I would highly recommend you not to stay here if you enjoy a good night sleep.

We canceled our reservation after seeing our room, the area and clientele seemed unsafe. Our room was not well kept and the tub was dirty. The night security officer was very helpful and refunded our money.

Place had a weird smell. Almost like mildew? Didn't feel super safe. Thin walls. Slept pretty well regardless though. Cheapest place available. Wouldn't stay here alone though.. a bit sketchy

1. I advanced pd for a "1 bed" room; they put us in a "2bed" room. If I had pd in advance, for a "1bed" room, that room should have been saved for me. Instead I was told there were no more left. (Not my problem!) 2. The interior of the whole room looked as if recently updated. That part was good but the plumbing did not allow me to take a comfortable shower. 3. Whomever did the upgrades did a good job but you could tell the painter did not know how to paint professionally. I can agree we all have to save on costs but..................... 4. There was no towel rack for towels; again the whole room looked unfinished. I had prepaid and next time, Id like to get what I advanced paid for. That's all.

Everything about that Hotel is terrible. People loitering outside the building are scary looking, they should hire security people to make sure the guests are safe. The looks won't lock and the shower heads are hard to operate. The air conditioning will stop after an hour so it gets hot in the middle of the night.

The staff person at check-in was very friendly, but it was downhill after that. The walls are very thin, so we were able to hear our neighbor's conversations, when they used the water, used the hair dryer, and so on. Despite being in the back of the building, street noise was also noticeable. Our neighbor apparently stayed up all night, and we had to repeatedly let them know that they were playing their music too loud (it more than drowned out the tv in our room). They also had people coming and going throughout the night, slamming the door each time someone came or went. We checked out after 7am, but there was no one at the front desk. There was a bell to ring, but no one responded to it. There was also a phone number to call, but when called, it rang a number of times and disconnected. We had to simply leave the key in the room. This is not a place we will stay at again.

I had called 45 min ahead of arrival to confirm they had my reservation and that everything was fine. (Just had a feeling). The woman that answered said yes she had my reservation and everything was fine. When I arrived she tells me that they are sold out and have no rooms available. I asked why she told me that my reservation was set and ready. She said that she confirmed my reservation not that she had a room available I was dumbfounded. She then when to tell physically check in rooms if she had something available she said well it looks like I have 2 queen beds available. The whole process was inefficient and completely unprofessional. Stay away from this place!!!
I had called 45 min ahead of arrival to confirm they had my reservation and that everything was fine. (Just had a feeling). The woman that answered said yes she had my reservation and everything was fine. When I arrived she tells me that they are sold out and have no rooms available. STAFF: Derek Layla Bevina Don’t book here. I made a mistake and I was told “you knew what you signed up for" They will not allow you to speak to any manager yet everyone can give a answer but when I ask there is no manager for a couple of months They are rude cut you off while speaking; blame hotels.com and hotels.com blames them etc They lie to cover one another and when I point out recorded conversations of the lie they tell me “I don’t have to tell you anything " They are unhelpful and do not want to help anyone be she said they need to make money even though I purchased additional insurance for my stay BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff person at check-in was very friendly, but it was downhill after that. The walls are very thin, so we were able to hear our neighbor's conversations, when they used the water, used the hair dryer, and so on. Despite being in the back of the building, street noise was also noticeable. Our neighbor apparently stayed up all night, and we had to repeatedly let them know that they were playing their music too loud (it more than drowned out the tv in our room). They also had people coming and going throughout the night, slamming the door each time someone came or went. We checked out after 7am, but there was no one at the front desk. There was a bell to ring, but no one responded to it. There was also a phone number to call, but when called, it rang a number of times and disconnected. We had to simply leave the key in the room. This is not a place we will stay at again.

I thought the Red Roof Inn was a great place to stay. Affordable price, very friendly check in person who immediately responded to our room when we called that our tv wasn't working. Very clean room, right in the heart of town.

Horrible.... We went to our room and turned around to ask for a refund. This hotel has long term residence, not corporate. They were hanging over the railings, drinking in the parking lot and hallways. The parking lot was full. We felt very unsafe.

Wow, coffee maker fridge big tv screen...but no towels bath mat kleenex or PHONE to call the front desk to ask for those things! In all fairness the front desk was immediately responsive in getting us towels (couldn't do anything about no house phone,made do with toilet paper in lieu of kleenex); this is definitely a no frills property so be forewarned! Room was reasonably clean, floor was a bit gritty but with the wind and lack of vegetation outside that's to be expected. Bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean and shower worked fine.

There were men just standing in the walkway late at night. We felt unsafe. A few rooms had dogs that barked often. Our room had broken lights, no coffee maker. The phone in the room was missing the plug. The room overall looked dirty.

I've had a great experience at the Red Roof Inn in Lompoc. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their guests. It's the little things that make a stay enjoyable—from the clean rooms and comfortable beds to the large, soft towels—and the Red Roof delivers! I would definitely recommend staying here, and I'd be happy to come back.
