Knights Inn Hallandale

My experience at Knights Inn Hallandale was extremely disappointing. Shortly after arriving, I was approached by someone who appeared to live on the property and offered me drugs — completely unacceptable and unsafe. The door to my room did not lock, which made me feel even more uncomfortable. I checked out the very next day. On top of that, the pool was out of service, and the Wi-Fi only works in the lobby, meaning there's no internet access in the rooms. This place does not feel safe, clean, or guest-friendly. I would not recommend it to anyone.

First when we came back to the hotel at night there was no parking available. Second when we went to speak with the receptionist, she was extremely rude and threatened to call the cops on us and finally told to just park in front of the lobby. Third i sprained my ankle in the parking lot and when i wanted to file an incident report the next day i was told i clild only do it jad i called the ambulance. In short i woild never stau here again

This has to be the worst place I've ever stayed it was dirty there were roaches everywhere the shower had no pressure it was like a dog peeing on your back not to mention you can't get warm water your stuck with either scalding or freezing I stepped out of the shower took 15 steps and my feet were covered with dirt on the bottom the walls sinks and ceiling were dirty and stained and they have the absolute nerve to charge $135 for a night it was ridiculous I didn't notice the state of the pool when we arrived because it was dark but by morning I could see that the pool was green and covered in disgusting dirt and mold in the bottom I wouldn't dip a toe in there for fear that it would fall off by whatever flesh eating bacteria may be in that pool this is definitely someplace I will never ever recommend or stay at no matter how desperate my situation please please do not waste your money you'd be better off sleeping under a bridge

This location was so filthy that we left after one night and made reservations elsewhere. The parking situation is also horrible.

One step above a crack house. Had to step around people on the stairwell who were having a “transaction”. Gap around the entry door so wide you could see light. Window A/C unit held in with a thread. Broken window glass. No hot water at the sink. Some hot water in the shower (at times). Was told the cable was out and pool was closed when we checked in. Towels were clean but really cheap and small. Parking was minimal. Some units were for “long term” guests. Stay here if you are coming up from being unhoused or on your way down to being unhoused

The air conditioning in the reception area was broken. They had a large fan to try to not have it be stale and hot in the lobby. The electrical outlet in the bathroom was covered with clear tape and therefore unusable, yet the fact that they used clear tape made the metal parts in the outlet visible. There was a broken tile in the base of the wall. This break made an opening into the wall that was large enough for an animal to come out of. The manager was very helpful and explained that they did not have any other rooms with the necessary features. He offered to try another style of room, and explained that the maintenance department could try to fix it the next day, but I did not want to risk my safety. After trying to make it work, I realized that I would have to take my business elsewhere.

No internet or WiFi available in any rooms

There was no AC in the main lobby and in the room there was filthy and had bugs and roaches

Easy to get to any room to any person from outside. Very hard to take luggage to second floor. With elevator or service will be easy, But first, it's very old and complete renovation would be the best.

Very disappointed that there was no internet or Wi-Fi available in the room, but only in the hotel lobby. Advertised laundry machines don’t work. They charge money extra for everything to the point of ridiculousness. Would never stay here again

I think they have bed bugs, I developed rash just after one night there sleeping on their beds, and now I'm afraid if it's bed bugs I hope I didn't bring them to my home.

the cleaning service is horrible. the bed was full of hair, the pillows stained, the bathroom dirty. an experience not to repeat

Roaches, Stained sheets, fire hazards (a.c's connected with extension cords). Dirty showers, dirty pool and bathrooms. Parking lot over crowded. Unpleasant staff.

DIRTIEST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE

RUN! The Knights inn was the worst place we’ve ever been to. The pictures online are so misleading. Room 2266. Walked into the room and right away a constant wet floor feeling that never went away. You can smell the mold and SEE it. Broken mirror behind the bed perfect position if your phone fell behind the bed and you reach for, it would have cut you. Stains all over the bed and sheets. There was underwear STUCK on the wall behind the bed frame. The drains were clogged. Missing baseboards. Black dirt around toilet. Reminder the floors are always WET. The A/C didn’t work at all. They cut the plug from an extension cord. And electrical taped it to the cord for the A/C unit in the window. And to top it off, the next morning we spoke with Micheal, he was the ginger at the front desk. My mother asked for towels, he said we have to go look for the maid. Then he comes around and delivers 2 towels for 4 people saying this was a “favor”. My mother said “thanks for your favor”. He then goes “F*** You”. My brother and I go to the front desk to also complain about everything I mentioned. He took forever to give us any number for management. After printing out 10 sheets of paper he writes does 2 numbers that led us nowhere after we called them. Once we mentioned that he refused to serve us anymore and called the cops for us to check out. Just over all childish management, seemed like he was all over the place and his eyes are REALLY wide. Just really disappointed everything was misleadin

It’s very dirty. I left the place the same night. I saw a lot of roaches.

Bed bugs , smells disgusted

Parking was poorly lit. There was no one at the front desk for check-in. There was no security anywhere on the premises or outside. There were unsavory people dealing drugs lingering outside the front entrance and sitting in the stairwells. The hallways had no lighting. The room was filthy, roaches running everywhere, toilet seat broken, bathroom unclean, broken dinette, the front door to the room lock was broken along with the adjoining room door lock not working. The bed was broken. I went to dinner and returned to discover the police in the front driveway. The front office and lobby closed at 11pm. There was no signage posted for any phone number to call for assistance. I feared for my safety and security. There was no one available for check out or drop box to place the key. I slid the key through a small opening at the front desk and took a picture of it in case there was any questions as to what happened to the keys. This establishment should be banned and removed from Hotels.com destination.

Nasty. Terrible condition! Bugs. Trash. Uggh, just awful. Paint peeling off the walls. My daughter wanted us to leave even though I had already paid over $100 for the room.

This hotel is in a good location, but unfortunately, its facilities are run down. As soon as you enter the reception area, you're hit with a terrible shock. There was no air conditioning, but they'd installed a fan, with decor from a thousand years ago. The room was apparently organized and clean, with three beds, excellent for my family group. The sheets were clean, but the mattresses had no protectors. The bathroom was dirty and moldy. There was no hot water; after hours, the water only came out hot. The first night, I didn't sleep at all because someone was smoking marijuana outside the room, and there were also people talking and laughing. The police arrived. Add to that the noise from the air conditioning. It was devastating.

Do not stay here, I would give 0 stars if I could. If how run down and under maintained the building looks from the outside wasn’t enough, my room had a chunk of ceiling missing with water leaking from it, water damage and mold on the walls, floors were absolutely filthy, and YELLOW STAINS on the sheets!! The door also looked like it had been kicked in and poorly put back on, there was a deadbolt with no chain to lock it. I’ve genuinely never felt so disgusted and unsafe. I checked out about 15 minutes after checking in.

This is a really old hotel. The staff were nice enough but there are no ice buckets or in room blow dryers. We were put in the back next to a dumpster and big street light. It could use some sprucing up. We rented it to be close to the tracks but there are nicer places for an extra $100.

Good price for area. Very noisy at night. May have been a party next door. Things calm down a little by 11pm but more load music till 2am.

If you enjoy roaches then this is the place for you . Low water pressure for the shower . The employees were great though . Excellent service from the staff , but the cocktoaches though. 1 star is just because of the service.

Bathroom shower had holes in the shower. Ceiling had stains all over the ceiling. Floor was not even with the other part of the floor entering the bathroom. Safety issue for sure. Blanket and pillows were so thin they needed to be thrown out. Bad had a 0lastic cover under the sheets that crackled everytime you moved.

The outter units we stayed at were noisy with traffic noise, people talking, and a trash truck coming early in the morning. As for the inside, the room was not very clean, the faucet did not work well, and there was no hot water at night. The staff were friendly but the facility needs quite a bit of upgrades. They came immediately to fix some broken lights and turn on the cold water in the sink that someone had turned off underneath.

Traveling since I was six this was the worst propert I have ever walked in mold all over the place Plywood for dinning table Extension cords at the lobby floor That is not a hotel hotel.con should visit the properties they advertise before posting I walked in with my child and walked right out I threw out his clothes because he sat on bed I video everything and sent to wife so she would not come We went straight to front desk to give key back And refund they said contact hotels.com I could not contact property manager And the hotel.com contact agent said they would resolve Then nothing And they charged full stay They said if we cancell we have to pay first day We didn’t stay and they charged for the whole stay Unacceptable

Quick check in great price in center town

Arrived 12 hours late. Still held my reservation and I did communicate this with them. (Flight issues) Staff even opened the store at midnight for me and Seth is super kind and made sure we were safe and carried our bags. He doesn’t work for the the hotel he works for the store but he is awesome and the rest of the staff was so kind and super helpful. Will be back. Seen mixed reviews and super glad we still stayed here. Clean nice pool and great staff. It’s outdated for sure but exactly the experience we were looking for!

Upon arrival everything seemed to be ok but it was 1:30p said it’s 50$ extra early check in. Went out and came around 9p there were people roaming around and I finally got my key where I went to a room that wasn’t even cleaned. I simply asked for a refund n went somewhere else

For Expedia to actually have this property as one of their options is embarrassing for them. I have never stayed in such a trashy, run down, unsafe hotel in my life. We booked a non-smoking room and a smoking room was given to us. We were told the hotel was fully booked because of the Ultra Music Festival. We tried to find rooms elsewhere, but had zero luck. So unless we wanted to sleep in our car, we had no where else to go. If the hotel didn't have any non-smoking rooms available, they shouldn't have allowed us to reserve one. The electrical outlets were partially exposed, drop cords and surge protectors everywhere and the fire alarm was missing from the ceiling. Someone must be paying off the local inspectors because this is just a fire waiting to happen! There were roaches and cigarette butts on the floor. And don't get me started on the bathroom. The vanity looked like it had been in a flood and never replaced. The towel bar had been completely ripped off of the wall. There were cigarette burns all over the counters and in the sink! Our outside window was cracked and there was a gap in the frame of the front door that you could see through. The only good thing was the surrounding neighborhoods and shopping areas. Dining and shopping was all in walking distance and in general it seemed to be a safe area. However, unless you just don't give a darn about your family or yourself, never stay here! Very old and outdated. However very clean. Not worth the cost, but last minute,.take what you can get. Great location.

The hotel is located near a shopping plaza and Walmart. It is a 10-minute walk to the beach.

The first room was dirty, drawers had dirty underware and socks. Complained. Given another room that was full of cockroaches. Badly maintained rooms. Cable would drop constanly, couldnt watch anything for more than 30 minutes. Pool was closed. Restaurant was closed permanently. A/C in foyer wasnt working. Incredibly disappointing overall.
