For Montauk, this hotel would be the only option for us. The property is well designed, it’s very small and you just feel safe. It’s a Close walking distance to town. My one complaint is I wish there was a better food option. The food prices are insane and there’s a very limited menu. The lunch choices for a Sunday were braised chicken, pork or a $40 burger, no great kid friendly options or anything you would want to eat on a hot august day outside. The staff were all super nice and I loved that there were fire pits every night with s’mores. There’s a pool overlooking the ocean which you really can’t find out here and there’s also beach service meaning they’ll set up chairs and an umbrella for you. There’s a great bar by the pool and beach too. My other issue was for the price of the rooms they’re extremely small and dark. There’s also no TVs, dressers or closets so pack light and bring an iPad if you have children!

Best property east of the Hamptons. Great modern bohemian style with great location. Good food and drinks.

Such a beautiful and convenient property. First time there and with our baby, and it was such a great experience. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The site was so convenient with beach, pool, and restaurant steps from the room. The smores at the fire pits were really a cute experience. Close to town and the room was spacious and clean. Great location with a relaxed vibe, but not without flaws The location is unbeatable, and the low-key atmosphere is a real plus. That said, it’s definitely pricey for what you get—you’re mostly paying for the beachfront setting. The beach is beautiful, and the counter-service restaurant is fantastic with consistently great food and service. However, the lack of clean towels at both the pool and beach every single day of our entire stay for four days straight was frustrating—and unacceptable, especially given the $188.51 per day resort fee on top of of the hotel fee. That level of oversight shouldn’t happen at this price point.

We loved our stay at Marram! The property is a little slice of beach magic. The location was absolutely perfect, and the private beach was exactly what we were hoping for. Tranquil and beautiful, they have effortlessly blended luxury into the unpretentious surf town vibes that Montauk is known for. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The common areas were family friendly and we loved the fire pits, covered patio deck, and lounge area. Our beds were insanely comfortable and the room decor simple and elegant. A few things could have improved our stay: Our room had very limited storage, so with no closet to stow things away the minimalist aesthetic quickly went out the window. Our room had the sink/vanity area outside the bathroom, and only the shower and toilet inside. This was awkward for us to navigate as a family. We loved the smell of the Le Labo bath products, but I am always hesitant to use communal products in hotels as you never know if it has been tampered with. I would have preferred individually sized recyclable bottles to enjoy that amenity. Overall, we adored it and would recommend it 10/10!

10/10 Excellent location right on the beach. Room are nice with comfy beds and pillows. Extras like yoga, meditation, art classes, nature walks, etc… all included were a nice surprise. The food and bar are lovely to have on-site and the fire pits in the evenings with s’mores are a lovely to end your day. Liked it so much I extended my stay!

Aging property, bad services , poor front desk

We really enjoyed our stay at Marram and would return in the future. The beach is beautiful and they have more than enough chairs and umbrellas to go around. Marram is ok. Very comfortable beds. Lovely staff, tasty treats for breakfast and fun marshmallows fire in evening. To be fair we stayed now off season, no yoga or meditation avail— wish I had known as that is really what made me pick it. Calming decor but floor dirty. Walls needed sprucing up, chipped corners, splash back dirty. View ok- my advice is pick an o ran view as nothing else is really better than a sunrise view. Perhaps those rooms are nocer too.. ours was dark.

Small rooms with no closet. The sinks are inside the sleeping quarters to the room (separate from the toilet and shower) but the sink is a spot sink so if you want to wash your face, your sink area is a total mess because the sink is like 8” in diameter. The good news is that the showers are very hot;) No elevator, stairs are super steep so if you have someone who is elderly or otherwise has trouble getting up and down steps this can be a challenge if you are on an upper floor. The restaurant was good but it’s definitely a self serve scenario with walk up ordering and paper plate service. Disappointing considering how much the average daily room rates are. Would expect more. Staff was kind. Housekeeping does the best they can with what they have to deal with getting around the property. Beds were comfortable but the bedding was wrinkled and looked a little too “shabby chic” for what we were paying. Almost like my 8 year old made the bed. Rooms are musty. No real heat (fell upon a bad weather spell), the AC unit was a wall mounted unit that pushed cold air onto the bed while you were sleeping, we were told we could either have the AC on or not on at all but not to turn the unit to heat as the unit would break. Weird. The whole management style is a little too beach casual for my style. Expect more for the amount of money we paid.

Nice located on the beach, close to town. But the hotel is highly overpriced and a bit of a disappointment: The rooms are impractical in many details like not much space for luggage, there are not enough hangers for towels, etc… also, you hear your neighbours through the venting system. Staff is professionally friendly, but seems to be quite bored. Thats not luxury and not worth the price in our opinion.

Great location very close, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Nice facility. Sound proof not very good. Would stay at the 2nd floor next time as we could hear people walking upstairs. Love the Lelabo lotions. Would return for sure.

we had a really nice stay. two quick things - tried to tip but needed change and no one had it. and it would have been nice to have a drawer to put your clothes in.

It wasn’t a big deal, but the hotel comped our meal, brought us a free dessert, and comped our post-dinner drinks at the bar. The nightly s’mores were a wonderful touch and encouraged guests to socialize with each other. Would absolutely stay here again!

Javier ( manager), Luisa (pool attendant) and staff were exceptional!!!! The accommodation and considerations were so great. We only stayed one night but aren’t leaving without booking another trip soon. Btw, the food for adults were fantastic, however nothing to accommodate the kids which was weird since the place is so kid friendly.

The small rooms are very “cool” if not very practical but you come for the views which ARE stunning at sunrise and sunset, lucky location. We came end of season and you could tell. It felt like everything was just too much effort for the staff - I’ll offer that they were tired except it was our general impression of service here.

Great spot... Very convenient to town

Great spot on the beach and walkable to town.

Locations are d writhing, and the marran has this, right on the beach, watching whales, dolphins and spinning sharks from the comfort of the pool and/or beach…… lovely sitting area for drinks and dinner watching the sun go down. This is a hotel to savour on a nice night, we stayed the 18/19 sept, 2025! One thing that was a shock, no TV in room and little hanging space for clothes, so if you can manage around that (as we did) The other odd point and the reason for my low score on Eco friendly, is the hotels use of plastic fork, knives and spoons, and plastic cups which in this day goes against the grain, so that aside if you want a modern hotel in a great location thus is a must……. And one, that we would go back too.

hotel was amazing!!!! restaurant not so great, very expensive and little options but it is very close (7 min walk) to town, so that is not a problem if you want to walk to get dinner or lunch

It was a quiet peaceful place w a beautiful location in the ocean. Amazing little coffee and food options.
