The property was cosy, safe and what we were looking for. The lounge area on the second floor with laundry, coffee, tea and water was good. Our room was small (2 bunk beds) but worked for the 3 of us. The drawers at the bottom of the bunk beds were hard to open and pretty much useless to us...we just used the 4th bed for luggage storage. There is no seating in the room and i think if the base of the beds had a bench/storage instead of drawers it could serve both purposes. All in all pretty good though and would stay again.

Peoperty was safe and secure. Area is very convenient and walkable. Room was small but fine. It did not have a mini fridge, which is unusual but ok. Staff was nice. Ice machine was broken. Check in and out was quick and easy.

We booked a room with 4 bunk beds. When we got there it was so tiny that we could only open one suitcase at a time. No television, chair or fridge and limited towels. We had to ask to get more and to get them changed out as we were there for 5 days and there is no cleaning staff there. Also the elevator did not work for 3 days and we were on the 6 th floor. The room was clean but it is not made for adults. The hotel is not in the best area but it has a passcode on the main door so we did feel pretty safe.

Overall, everything was great. The location, the room, the kitchen/common area that allowed you to get some groceries and store them in the fridge. I even did a load of laundry, which was great. The only downsides were that things seemed to be broken a lot. The electric blind in my room didn't work, so the staff had to roll it up and jam it in the window so I wasn't sitting in a dark box. The shower water was only scalding hot, which meant that I had to just barely splash water on the important bits so I didn't get burned. And the coffee machine in the kitchen kept breaking. All in all, minor-ish things. The staff responded to things as fast and best they could, but it did diminish my experience. Now -- would I stay there again? Yes. But really, it's about the price. The only place in San Fran that's decent (quality) without costing a million dollars. If there were other options in the same price range, would I go there instead? Yeah, probably. Still worth staying here, though. I'm sure my experience was an anomaly.

This property was great in the aspect of amenities, comfort, and staff. It isn't located in the best area but that didn't severely impact our trip, just be cautious. The rooms were nice and clean and there is a lounge with a fridge, microwave, etc which was super convenient.

overall it was okay. elevator kept breaking every night. On the day of checkout, I had to take my luggage from 7th floor to the lobby. there were ppl who stayed there due to a medical treatment at a nearby hospital and they had hard time getting down using stairs. It was around 300$ a night but compared to other hotels around

5 mins walk from the BART / MUNI station in a central location. Clean, comfortable with great staff and very reasonably priced. The kitchen on the second floor is very handy and well equipped with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit SF!

Granted me and my friend were here simply as a place to sleep since we were out and about for most of the time, this was a great affordable option for our two night stay. While the area is a little sketchy, it is in perfect proximity to several of the touristy spots around San Francisco. We had no problems with any of the utilities. Something to note however is there is no onsite parking so if you are visiting by car you will need to choose from one of the overpriced parking areas nearby. Overall, the hotel was clean, inviting, and a great choice.

I was in town to watch baseball, and I could walk to the park in about 25 minutes. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly. My room was on the top floor, and it felt and sounded like it was right under an A/C unit that rumbled enough a couple of times that it woke me up. My room was really clean, with sharp sheets and decent towels. The desk was a bit small but the wifi was robust. I would stay here again for sure.

It’s a really nice, beautiful, new looking hotel. Really cool furniture and free coffee, etc. Only thing is maybe I got unlucky that day. But my room smelled like bad breath/just not pleasant. I would have asked to change rooms but I arrived at midnight so it was fine for a night. But yeah, if they can get an air purifier or change the ac filter or something, that would be ideal. But otherwise it was fine ~

Got bad luck for 4 nights stay... about the room above us. The building is wood floor. It's so annoying all night and day sometimes. The room has funky smell. But everything is clean and we'll decorated. Some staff was nice also.

Convenient to the union square area and walkable. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. Hotel was clean overall. The only negative thing was the area can be a little dicey at night but I’m from there originally so I felt safe but my partner was a little nervous. I would definitely stay there again

Staff members were very nice. Rooms, i've been in 2 different types for 5 nights, were all very clean, well prepared, classic, cozy. So much better than what I expected looking at those pictures on the website when i was trying to find the hotel rooms. Just what I needed for my business trip.

The hotel is great on its own, staffs were helpful and friendly, and overall great bang for your buck . However it’s not in the best neighborhood, homeless are loitering around and it’s really noisy at night. Windows are not sound proof but the hotel does provide earplugs. Theres also a strong smell I can’t put my finger on, I won’t say it’s bad but it’s not pleasant either. Overall more than passable if you have noise cancelling earbuds and fine with rougher neighborhoods.

The hotel itself and the location were great however the sound proofing of the room was horrible. There was loud music being played all night on both of the nights we stayed there. They even provide a white noise machine and ear plugs but they barely drowned the noise out. It sounded as if people were rehearsing or recording music within the building. If you are a light sleeper I would not recommend. Everything else was fine.

Anyone with a family young or old this hotel/hostel is not for you. It’s lovely clean, but the rooms are to small you couldn’t swing a rat let alone a cat. I wish we had paid a little extra and stayed in another hotel. Find for an overnight stay but no longer.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The neighborhood was worse than I had expected, and I felt uncomfortable walking around, even in daylight. You could hear lots of fighting and yelling from people out on the street even though I was on the seventh floor. The air conditioning system was difficult to get programmed to have cool air all night long. Throughout the evening I asked for things and the staff was not accommodating. Specifically the TV didnt work, at all. Wouldn't turn on. We asked for assistance and no one helped. We needed batteries for the tv remotes and none could be offered. The rooms are extra small, so if you are little on the bigger side or even if there's more than one person staying in the room , you might want to reconsider staying at this place. There are no inroom telephones where you can communicate with the staff. So if you are on an upper level you are going to have to go down every single time, which is Not convenient. especially if you are needing toiletries and you need to get off the toilet or a towel out of the shower, you are screwed to being able to quickly call downstairs to call staff! Cleaning staff great Evening staff horrible

They lie when they caim to have a fan or ac in room. Ours was broken as were units for several other guests. They told me they would fix it during stay but did not. Only offered a portable fan 3rd night os stay. Based on reviews seems to be a property wide problem and they are refusing to invest in basic maintenance. Horrible sleep in tiny stuffy room

I got superior bunk bed room. I wouldn't stay in regular room if this one was superior. Room has bathroom in a wall closet. Sink is in a room. It didn't fit into the closet. and there not a closet for your cloth. There are few hooks on the wall in the bathroom/closet with coat hangers that all what you got. You ether can hang your clothes or towels. Could hotel to put a rack in the room? Be prepared to know if your neighbors above are tap dance enthusiast. You can hear their every move. Do not worry there are ear plugs in the room. There is not a restaurant in the hotel. Unless kitchen on the second floor count as one

Very nice staff, convenient location in the center, but rooms are a bit small and dark, bed not very confortable, overall a bit old condition, but biggest issue is the noise from the night club and the street on the weekend.

Stayed for a week and only had to pay about $100/night which is amazing for SF, but there were some pros and cons. Room was clean, comfortable bed, and a nice big bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. But my room had no closet or wardrobe to hang clothes, and the ceiling did a poor job of quieting noise from above (I was hearing whole conversations).

Great property! As can be expected from a big city, there were some unpleasant smells outside the building, but once you enter it is perfect. Great location, wonderful staff and very comfortable. Would stay there again.

Throughout the evening I asked for things and the staff was not accommodating. Specifically the TV didnt work, at all. Wouldn't turn on. We asked for assistance and no one helped. We needed batteries for the tv remotes and none could be offered. The rooms are extra small, so if you are little on the bigger side or even if there's more than one person staying in the room , you might want to reconsider staying at this place. There are no inroom telephones where you can communicate with the staff. So if you are on an upper level you are going to have to go down every single time, which is Not convenient. especially if you are needing toiletries and you need to get off the toilet or a towel out of the shower, you are screwed to being able to quickly call downstairs to call staff! The mishandling of information regarding the deposit. Their machine would not accept my Credit Card so I had to use My bank card which meant cash out of pocket ( 300$USD) then upon my checkout they did not immediately refund my bank card instead told me it will take 3-10 days to get my funds back. I was very upset with that. It left me scrambling as I was told by a different staff member I would be refunded the day of my check out. That was a lie . I would not recommend this place to stay

Overall, everything was great. The location, the room, the kitchen/common area that allowed you to get some groceries and store them in the fridge. I even did a load of laundry, which was great. The only downsides were that things seemed to be broken a lot. The electric blind in my room didn't work, so the staff had to roll it up and jam it in the window so I wasn't sitting in a dark box. The shower water was only scalding hot, which meant that I had to just barely splash water on the important bits so I didn't get burned. And the coffee machine in the kitchen kept breaking. All in all, minor-ish things. The staff responded to things as fast and best they could, but it did diminish my experience. Now -- would I stay there again? Yes. But really, it's about the price. The only place in San Fran that's decent (quality) without costing a million dollars. If there were other options in the same price range, would I go there instead? Yeah, probably. Still worth staying here, though. I'm sure my experience was an anomaly.

This was a nice Hotel for a quick stay overall. Located very close to Union square made it very enjoyable and convenient. Once you get past the fact that there is homeless everywhere, this really isn’t a bad hotel. Staff was friendly and did a great job with accommodating me.

Convenient to the union square area and walkable. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. Hotel was clean overall. The only negative thing was the area can be a little dicey at night but I’m from there originally so I felt safe but my partner was a little nervous. I would definitely stay there again

We loved our stay at the FOUND hotel! The rooms are small with hostel-style bunk beds; this was fine as we didn't really spend much time in the room anyway. Common areas include a small kitchen with a coffee/chocolate machine, a lounge for sitting, and some desk space for working. The location is great, a few blocks from Union Square, with a lot of transportation nearby (BART, Muni, cable cars). The Vietnamese restaurant next door (Bodega) is phenomenal. The hotel sits right at the edge of the Union Square district, so going east is very touristy, while going west (into the Tenderloin district) is a little sketchy. Overall a great experience if what you want is mostly a safe and convenient place to sleep.

5 mins walk from the BART / MUNI station in a central location. Clean, comfortable with great staff and very reasonably priced. The kitchen on the second floor is very handy and well equipped with microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit SF!

The experience was good overall. Enjoyed the free coffee machine and common sitting/working area, clean room and bathroom, view was fine. One bummer was the all day protests at nearby hotel chain but that’s not Found’s fault.

The hotel is situated right in Union square, where a couple blocks down you can catch the trolley. Good food spots. There are some streets you have to be careful. There are some unpleasant smells in some streets. The hotel is great, cute and the room is small. Small enough where you have to ask for an iron and a board, which they are happy to provide. There isn’t a lot of space around the bed, so pack smart! There is coffee and tea on the 2nd floor, but my recommendation for the hotel is to step up their coffee game. The cappuccino machine Is not great, and provide creamer, please! There are coffee places but it’s a little inconvenient to get up and get ready too buy coffee to wake you!! The beds are by far the most comfortable compared to other popular hotels!! Kudos Found!! Overall I was comfortable, there was some noise outside but I got used to it. I will stay here again. This is not a hotel it is a youth hostel so perfectly suitable if you’re travelling, not suitable for families. The room was tiny and you literally couldn’t not move if you have any luggage. The bathroom was clean but nowhere to store anything and the room itself was quite dated. We were in a room with 2 children right next to the communal area so there were people chatting and drinking until the early hours of the morning so again not ideal if you have children or just want to sleep!! The staff were lovely but I would not recommend this hotel unless you are a young person travelling.the location is fairly central but again with children we did not feel safe and needed to get taxis everywhere especially in the evening
