I wish I had known about the stairs that I would have to take. I didn’t notice anything about it in the description. I was comfortable when I got in the room but certainly not wowed by any stretch of the imagination.

Property needs some updating. Throw rug beside bed is dangerous and so is slippery floor. Stool to stand on to get into bed is small and tips easily. Upholstered chair is uncomfortable. Bathroom floor tiles chipped and loose around perimeter. Employees at checkin and waitress helpful and friendly. Responded to requests quickly. Staff was the best part of the stay at this property

The building was unique. Their restaurant served good food. The shops were all very close. We had a few stairs we had to deal with but we got through it.

Artist Colony is a quaint, beautiful inn. Staff was great. Restaurant was good. Great location. Room comfort for older guests is questionable. Bed is very tall and can be hard to get into. Floors are beautiful wood, rugs made it slippery.

The aesthetic is adorable. The restaurant on site is very good as is the staff. The bed, while comfortable, has a very noisy frame. And you can hear all hall and neighbor noise. Location is convenient and you don't have to pay for parking.

Very charming and clean but not very quiet or dark if you need that for good rest. Room had a plate on a table with a knife and oily looking napkin on it- apparently from previous guest? I also paid extra for a “balcony” which was perched in front of someone else’s window. Awkward with their curtains open. Did not use it. Evening front desk girl very helpful and sweet.

Very large and spacious. Unfortunately the coffee pot and mugs, as well as other dishware was filthy. There was a septic odor throughout the halls and main sitting area within the room. The surrounding area was quaint and fun with all the artists shops.

Room could’ve been cleaner.. details on the cleaning such as a disposable razor was left by previous guests and not thrown away by cleaning staff and there was a blood stain on a pillow case so wondering why that wasn’t disposed of?? Also think there should be a discount for guests who dine at the Artist Colony.

We looked so forward to our stay. Unfortunately, there were a few things we were unhappy with. TV didn't work, remote broken, no coffee, needs a deep clean. Sorry it's not positive.

I was accused of smoking in the room which i did not i got a room with a balcony to smoke on which i did they tried to charge me 100$ for smoking in the room. bad business to make false accusations. and if the Artists wants to talk about smells they should talk about how about as soon as you walk in how it smells like sewer!!!! smelled so bad it made me sick i asked the lady at the front desk what the smell was she acted like there was no sewer smell. the room was very clean but for a suite you would think there would be a fridge a microwave a tv thats bigger then 12in. i wont stay or recommend the Artists to anyone after the false accusations and the sewer smell in the lobby.

The room was very small and also the TV was quite small. The room had no coffee maker, mini fridge, or microwave. The picture on the website made the room look much bigger. also, there was no dresser or shelves to put clothing on. Also, no closet but did have hooks on the wall.

The 1st room had a strong perfume smell that a previous guest may have sprayed. They quickly made sure we had a new room. Very pleasant stay and great breakfast in the morning. We had stayed there 30 years ago and have very fond memories of staying there.

The room for our first night was not so good--the bed was incredibly creaky and kept waking us up. But we told the desk people about it and they immediately gave us a better room with a much quieter, better bed.

Bed was not the most comfortable but loved the historic feel. Located right in the middle of everything, loved the small hometown atmosphere with unique shops.Breakfast was included and was pretty good. If you love stepping back in time, I would definitely recommend!

Room was very cute and clean. The bed was comfortable, but squeaked a lot. Everyone was very nice. Ate dinner there and the chicken pot pie was wonderful, my husband kept commenting on the french onion soup was great.

The old era decor did make uou feel like you had been taken back a couple hundred years. Comfy bed, hot water. The shelving unit a little close to the toilet is my only concern. Stayed in room 304. The hallway is loud but no noise after folks entered their room. Nice basic breakfast at a reasonable price. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the location is perfect for exploring. I really like the fact I could do the wine tasting and walk back to the room, I'm usually the designated driver and never get to particpate, this was really wonderful.

Comfortable rooms, staff very helpful. We had breakfast at the attached restaurant and really enjoyed it. Perfect location with great parking.

The room and entire hotel was very clean and staff was welcoming. Things that could be improved on: The landscaping was overgrown and needed to be weeded. It would have been nice to have access to a snack area since the restaurant closes at 3:00 on certain days of the week and could have access for late nights. The bed creaked with every move that was made making it hard to sleep. Our entire stay was good though and very memorable. It was great to have free parking.
