SpringHill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh Latrobe

The staff was friendly and being by the air port was neat. The room was fairly clean. We got the hotel for the swimming pool sincs the hotel that we had booked previously closed the swimming pool last minute and did not tell us. It was for my daughters birthday with 4 girls so the swimming pool was the reason for getting the hotel room. The girls swam for about 35 minutes and quickly got out and said their eyes hurt. By the time we got to the.room their eyes were almost swollen shut and for almost 2 hours after they showered we were icing, warm conpressing. Putting eye drops, anything we could think of in their eyes to help relieve the pain. My brother is an emt and had eye drops in his truck that should have relieved some pain and those didnt even work. My older daughters skin was beat red and in pain for 3 hours. These girls are swimmers and will swim for hours on end. This pool was way over chlorinated and chemicals were clearly not mixed properly. We had a 17month old with us as well luckily we didnt put her in the pool. I couldnt imagine what it would have done to her skin or eyes. This ruined my daughters party which was already halfway ruined when we showed up at another mariot hotel and the pool was "closed for maintenance" and we spent almost 2 hours trying to find a hotel that could accommodate 6 people. What a shame. Someone needs training on how to take care of a swimming pool and how dangerous mixing chemicals wrong could be.

The "heated" pool is kept at 72 degrees! Burrrr!! Overall, this Spring Hill suite is not as nice as other SpringHill suites.

Absolutely amazing stay. Staff was awesome, kind and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Pool and gym top notch. Hit breakfast a plus. Great location!

Pool as a little cold but otherwise great stay.

The ONLY downfall was that one of the dryers was broken. We were relying on that and it caused us twice as long to do our "post-camp" laundry. Everything else was spectacular!

The facility is nice. Its quiet and away from the main strip so there isnt much traffic. Room was clean and breakfast was great. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and loud. All 4 of us had a terrible time trying to sleep. The pool was too cold to swim in.

Rented a room for my daughter’s birthday. Pool was nice, and the bar was great! Clean rooms and great customer service.

The biggest issues were that the elevator was not working and the service was poor at the bar. There was one person working the front desk, cooking and tending bar. We waited about 25 minutes for her to attend to us .

Its in a nice area. Staff was nice. Pool walls and bottom need scrubbed, they are discolored. Overall.a good experience.

We were asked at registration if we wanted service of our room during our 5 day stay. We responsed, yes. However, we never received any service.....we had to request towels, trash bags so we could remove our own trash and clean towels(nobody came for the dirty ones). If you are going to ask if someone wants service...provide the service.

sheets on the bed did not smell fresh. Not sure if they were changed from last visitor. The carpet was stained and very dirty, needs shampooed or replaced. The couch in the room was badly stained and felt very dirty. The lap shade near the room door was also dirty. Overall, I doubt if we will come back. I wish I had taken photos but I did not. I doubt that they would convey how unclean the place looked and felt

The sofa bed had crumbs and urine stains. the housekeeper did come up and vacuum it- providing a mattress cover and the bedding for it. He was very helpful.

Did not like housekeeping every other day. Would not recommend staying here.

This is the cleanest hotel we have stayed in a long time! No hair in the showers! The staff is super friendly greeting all the guests. Checkin was super easy and fast. The coffee that is always available and is awesome!

The bar tender is also the cook. Made me feel bad for even wanting food. My room was really dusty all over the coffee pot and microwave. My bath towels looked used.

The only problem we had here was with cleanliness. In our room, the floor looked like it had not been swept as there were crumbs on the floor. The bed sheets had a large stain and there was hair in the bathroom shower. Very disappointing.

Staff was super friendly rooms were super clean. The amenities around the vicinity was awesome. The only negative I could say about the hotel is that the pool was small and a bit chilly

Nice hotel. Room was a little unclean with some hairs on bathroom floor and bed and stains on table between the beds.

Very nice place. Staff was great. I believe we were in an older room. The shower door needs to be realigned. The sound from the next room was louder than normal. However, the stay was pleasant.

Queen suite is a nice size for a family of 5. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly up on check in. Kids enjoyed the pool.

overall was great. But i wish there was a regular type of chair to set in. The sofa is nice but that lounge end of the sofa to me is a waste. Also, the bed was a little hard for my taste. Wish it was a little softer. Thanks

Pillows sucked. Room looked bigger online but nice over all. Tv would be better if it was a little higher. Hard to see laying down

We were surprised about the room it was very clean and spacious. It had a great view of the mountains as well. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

The rooms were small for the price. There were no drawers for clothes other than 2 small ones in the bottom of the closet. The breakfast was limited and they ran out of forks and fruit. The staff were excellent and very helpful.

This was a very nice hotel and was very clean. I think someone needs to adjust the plumbing though. The toilets flush VERY loud. You can hear every time the person next door uses the bathroom. Breakfast ends at 9:30 by 8:40 they were out of coffee. On a positive note, the staff has the BEST customer service.

The room was great except for a couple things: 1. The bathroom sink drained slowly. 2. There may be some kind of water leak right outside the shower room. A wet spot appeared on the carpet whenever I took a shower.

The staff is super-dooper great. The breakfast was great. HOWEVER, do not be fooled by the pictures on line of the room we got. It showed a separation between the two beds and a very large hide-a-bed that was also an l shaped large sofa. There was NO separation and the sofa was small and the hide-a-bed not real comfortable. THAT was very disapointing. Had we been staying more than one night, I would have demanded another room that was like the pictures shown. The staff was so pleasant that I just sucked it up and kept the room. My family was OK with it but our sleep was disturbed because of the non-separation between the sofa and the two queen beds.

Check in was easy. Bartender was very friendly and very good at handling the bar and food.

Check in took 25 min. Unacceptable. More important to train new staff than care for a tired client weary from all day drive. Indifferent to my presence at counter in line for next check in then check in guy behind me in line. Inordinate time dealing with phone in booking. My booking was prepaid and I had already checked in on line. Told me to enter hotel thru side door closed to my room only to find door inoperative and staff came to met us in and advised ghat door had been problematic for several days. Big problem with lack of for room Maintainance . Shower safety bar loose and created fall slip risk for my spouse. The plumbing fixtures in the shower including spigot shower control plate were dangerously loose and near falling off. The barn slider doors to bath room and toilet were so noisy when opened or closed they woke up occupants when someone would enter the toilet at night.regular Maintainance with lubricants would be an easy fix but management is either unaware and disinterested and feels no accountability to uphold Marriott standards. Normally my experience with stays at Marriott properties is very positive. This property is substandard and an embarrassment to Marriott as well as a disappointment to this client.

I reserved 3 rooms for a family trip. When we arrived at 3:30ish only 2 rooms were cleaned and available.

Very disappointed as I booked 2 nights non refundable however I was hospitalized and gave 72 hours and they still would not give refund or credit. Spoke to hotels.com and they stated it was hotel discretion to refund and they would not refund. I then spoke to hotel itself and they said hotels.com always says that but they do not ask. Either way I’m at $500 because I was in hospital!

The staff were very pleasant and responsive. Check in was quick. The suite was spacious and clean. Love having coffee, tea and water all day. We had 4 people in the suite and only two bath towels, cuos, 1 coffee and a decalf and no pillows for the couch pull out.. when reserving for 4 in a room the room ahould be set for 4. But staff wrte very responsive to requests. Breakfast was handy, could offer more variety and some not so great.

From walking in the front door and being greeted so pleasantly to checking out with the same friendliness it was a great stay! The room was immaculate. Children enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful well past the cutoff time. Great hotel!

Everyone is kind, helpful, and go oyut of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. The shuttle was so helpful also!

Room was spacious. Did not get to breakfast, went down too late. Staff was excellent and very helpful.

I love the Latrobe area, and the sleek convenience of the Hotel.

Was a wonderful property! Great place to stay close to Idewild park! Would stay there again in the future. Breakfast was good.

I liked being able to watch the airplanes land/take off. Walking to area stores. I was extremely disappointed that styrofoam plates/bowls were still being used at the breakfast bar.

Quiet area. Easy access to area highways.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's very comfortable and in a very good location. Michelle in the breakfast area is the star at breakfast, she says a friendly "good Morning" to everyone and is right on top of keeping the breakfast warm and plentiful.

Nice hotel, very clean, but I didn’t think the breakfast were that great. A lot of carbs they used to serve scrambled eggs with bacon and now it’s frozen sandwiches and processed omelettes.

Restaurant frequently did not have certain items although on the menu. Cleaning was subpar.

The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. Its nice to have a bar onsite with a casual atmosphere and no pressure, the breakfast is nothing special, but hey its always not to worry about a meal when traveling.

All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The front desk, bartender, chambermaids and breakfast staff without exception, were very pleasant. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Great place at a very fair price. The only thing we wished for were better hot breakfast options.
