Fantastic pirate themed hotel in the middle of town. This is a very convenient location to stay while exploring historic St. Augustine. This is an older building and new/upscale doesn't quite fit the theme. The tubs, sinks, etc are obviously older, but it is all clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a game/family room with couches, books, puzzles, toys, and a TV. There was not a TV in our room, but we weren't staying there to watch TV. We had amazing pancakes and fresh coffee provided by our amazing host.

We stayed here years ago and they were worth another visit.This is a Pirate themed hotel within walking distance to most attractions and great places to eat. The rooms are large with bunkbeds and are great for families. Rooms are dated but part of the charm, bedding is amazing, so soft! No Tvs in room but there is a family room with tv, games and books. You have use of the kitchen but they ask you wait until after 10a.m. as they provide a free pirate pancake breakfast. The staff is friendly and most are voluteers. Its quiet time adter 9p.m. please keep in mind it is a very old building with lots of creaks and groans and thin walls. Negative is all the rooms are on the 2nd floors and even tho we had help from Jeannie getting our bags in sadly this will be our last stay as we are older and the steps are just to much. You almost have to be an early riser because as soon as people are up and moving it is hard to sleep in so plan on waking up between 6 and 7 when they are busy. I would return again if there were no stairs.

Loved this place! It is right in the middle of downtown, you can walk to everything. They have an option for nearby parking for a reasonable fee or free parking in garage a few blocks away. It's operated like a B&B and the staff is great. It is a historic building, not fancy but eclectic, fun, clean, comfortable.

Our stay was an amazing experience. After a few bad hotels, being here was a breath of fresh air. Once we arrived, hospitality was great. The 6 of us were comfortable. The kids enjoyed looking at all the things and our littlest loved the community living room. The breakfast pancakes were outstanding. The location is just perfect in the historic area. Lots of things just walking distance. We enjoyed it enough we stayed an extra night.

This historical bldg is a unique property. Run down, yes, but clean and not too shabby. Being greeted at the door of the accommodation and led through the streets to private parking was a unique experience. Pirate theme heavily evident thruout facility. Included pancake breakfast was a treat.

I booked this inn because of location. First, the good parts. It is one block away from everything. Excellent location. The proprietor was very personable and sweet. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Has free wifi which helped a lot. Now the not so good. The inn is located in a 101 year old building on the second floor. You need to go up a noisey and steep flight of wooden steps to access the quarters. If you have any physical issues, then this is not for you. There are few amenities in the rooms: no tv, etc. All of those are in common areas. The bathrooms (poop deck) is small and old. Overall, i would say that if you want a centrally located place for you and the kids....go for it. If you are looking for a little more comfort, look elsewhere.

Hann was very friendly and professional and made our stay very enjoyable. Her pancakes every morning were very tasty and fun for the entire family. The rooms were very neat and very nicely decorated. The only issue to point out would be the bathrooms, they do need a bit of a makeover. Location is great and they provide afforable parking right behind the property.

I stayed one night with two small children. The wonderful manager, Hans, could not have possibly been more sweet and accommodating, even walking us to the parking space and carrying our bags in. The kids loved the pirate theme, the treasure hunt in the room and playing in the game room, which was full of toys, games, books and complimentary popcorn. The location could not have been better - we walked everywhere. The yummy personalized pancakes in the morning were the cherry on top. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel, this isn’t it, but if you want fun, basic accommodations (with a comfy bed!) in an amazing location I highly recommend!

We were in St Augustine for just one day and night so wanted to stay in the heart of the historic district. Location and reasonable rates brought us here. The Pirate Haus Inn is in a very old building, which shows its age. The Inn is a labor of love, run by a friendly staff who really love their life there. We were met our front by Kathy to introduce us to the Inn. Our room was more than comfortable for the two of us. Basic toiletries provided. The complimentary breakfast is available by signing up the night before and served in the communal kitchen. Our pancakes made by Jenny were delish! We paid the small nightly fee to park near the Inn. An interesting experience in a lovely historic downtown!

This property is amazing and us and our girls had the best time! Rooms are clean, location is great and the staff and service was above and beyond what we expected. Much thanks to Dawn for the pancakes, treasure hunt and making our girls’ birthday very special!

Location was excellent for the holiday Nights of Lights, which was the purpose of our visit. Everything was very clean. Our room had a pirate theme. We would stay again if the needs arises.

Very nice. Owner was just wonderful. Overall not the fanciest place but very accommodating and clean. Within walking distance from absolutely everything there is to see in Saint Augustine. We will definitely visit here again in the future.

Property is very close to the main streets of the Historic District. The hotel is more for kids . Its an older building with wooden floors and wooden doors,so the sounds carry.

A/C control was in a other room so whoever decides to turn it off in the middle of the night you will be hot. There werecracks on the walls.

I booked this inn because of location. First, the good parts. It is one block away from everything. Excellent location. The proprietor was very personable and sweet. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Has free wifi which helped a lot. Now the not so good. The inn is located in a 101 year old building on the second floor. You need to go up a noisey and steep flight of wooden steps to access the quarters. If you have any physical issues, then this is not for you. There are few amenities in the rooms: no tv, etc. All of those are in common areas. The bathrooms (poop deck) is small and old. Overall, i would say that if you want a centrally located place for you and the kids....go for it. If you are looking for a little more comfort, look elsewhere.

The Pirate Haus Inn is in a very old building, which shows its age. The Inn is a labor of love, run by a friendly staff who really love their life there. This hotel was a wonderful find. Jenny the manager couldn’t have been more helpful with visit and dining recommendations, and a lovely pancake breakfast. It is super good value and located right beside the old town centre. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this friendly, comfortable hotel

Loved this place! It is right in the middle of downtown, you can walk to everything. They have an option for nearby parking for a reasonable fee or free parking in garage a few blocks away. It's operated like a B&B and the staff is great. It is a historic building, not fancy but eclectic, fun, clean, comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pirate Haus! It is a budget accommodation but the manager (Dawn) was extremely attentive and did everything possible to ensure our comfort during our stay. The location can't be beat! You can easily walk from the Pirate Haus to many of the best St Augustine museums, attractions, restaurants, and shops. Dawn made our family delicious homemade pancakes for breakfast and helped us navigate the downtown area during the very busy Nights of Lights event downtown. The Pirate Haus isn't fancy but it's perfect for anyone looking for convenient, safe, friendly lodging at a great price. We'll be back for sure!

Fantastic pirate themed hotel in the middle of town. This is a very convenient location to stay while exploring historic St. Augustine. This is an older building and new/upscale doesn't quite fit the theme. The tubs, sinks, etc are obviously older, but it is all clean. The beds were comfortable. There is a game/family room with couches, books, puzzles, toys, and a TV. There was not a TV in our room, but we weren't staying there to watch TV. We had amazing pancakes and fresh coffee provided by our amazing host.

The Pirate Haus was such a fun experience! We enjoyed hunting for treasure in our room. My boys spent time in the shared family area coloring and playing with the Pirate toys. Breakfast was made to order pancakes by the staff each morning! They were delicious! The staff was so friendly, they make you feel like family! This hotel is close to EVERYTHING! We can't wait to come back!

We stayed here years ago and they were worth another visit.This is a Pirate themed hotel within walking distance to most attractions and great places to eat. The rooms are large with bunkbeds and are great for families. Rooms are dated but part of the charm, bedding is amazing, so soft! No Tvs in room but there is a family room with tv, games and books. You have use of the kitchen but they ask you wait until after 10a.m. as they provide a free pirate pancake breakfast. The staff is friendly and most are voluteers. Its quiet time adter 9p.m. please keep in mind it is a very old building with lots of creaks and groans and thin walls. Negative is all the rooms are on the 2nd floors and even tho we had help from Jeannie getting our bags in sadly this will be our last stay as we are older and the steps are just to much. You almost have to be an early riser because as soon as people are up and moving it is hard to sleep in so plan on waking up between 6 and 7 when they are busy. I would return again if there were no stairs.

I read enough reviews that I knew exactly what to expect (which fit our needs perfectly!) and then the over-the-top friendly service, meeting Jenny, was a pleasant bonus! She was so welcoming and made our one-night adventure so worth it! Location was perfect, and my 11-year old daughter and I loved the room, treasure hunt and pancakes for this special mother-daughter getaway. She was begging to stay longer. Felt bad I forgot to carry cash on us to leave housekeeping tip like the courteous thing to do.

This historical bldg is a unique property. Run down, yes, but clean and not too shabby. Being greeted at the door of the accommodation and led through the streets to private parking was a unique experience. Pirate theme heavily evident thruout facility. Included pancake breakfast was a treat.

Hann was very friendly and professional and made our stay very enjoyable. Her pancakes every morning were very tasty and fun for the entire family. The rooms were very neat and very nicely decorated. The only issue to point out would be the bathrooms, they do need a bit of a makeover. Location is great and they provide afforable parking right behind the property.

I stayed one night at PirateHaus. I stay at a lot of hostels and lower cost hotels when traveling with groups (mostly with college students on education abroad programs) and this family-friendly hotel is a great for a centrally located, group friendly, adventure in St. Augustine. Easy walking to numerous tourist and historic sites, as well as food options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is quirky, but fun.

This bed and breakfast is charming! Its location is perfect for walking around historic st. Augustine. The room is perfect for a large family. It is a little dated but that’s part of its charm. We loved our stay. We appreciated the pancake breakfast and the helpfulness of the staff.

The hotel is cute and the pirate themed decorations are so fun! The streets getting there are very narrow and it feels like you shouldn’t be driving there but you can pull right up to the hotel to check in real quick, possibly unload too. The hotel rents just 4 $15 parking spots around the corner so that was nice to have for an overnight stop in which we wanted to explore the town by walking around. The hotel has a giant, steep staircase and is not accessible otherwise so keep that in mind. No TV in the room so that was the only major thing we noticed that is different from other hotels. There is apparently an extra person charge, even if you get a room that sleeps 3 people. We had to pay a $15 up charge for our 12 yo, which was kinda odd to me given that we got a room fit for 3 people intentionally in the first place. Didn’t love that, as it seemed senseless, but the hotel overall was good for an overnight stop.
The hotel is cute and the pirate themed decorations are so fun! The streets getting there are very narrow and it feels like you shouldn’t be driving there but you can pull right up to the hotel to check in real quick, possibly unload too. The hotel rents just 4 $15 parking spots around the corner so that was nice to have for an overnight stop in which we wanted to explore the town by walking around. The hotel has a giant, steep staircase and is not accessible otherwise so keep that in mind. No TV in the room so that was the only major thing we noticed that is different from other hotels. There is apparently an extra person charge, even if you get a room that sleeps 3 people. We had to pay a $15 up charge for our 12 yo, which was kinda odd to me given that we got a room fit for 3 people intentionally in the first place. Didn’t love that, as it seemed senseless, but the hotel overall was good for an overnight stop.

Really helpful staff. Super nice and friendly. They even called me when I left my charger behind which is very kind of them. The room was nice, free of bugs, the property is clean and well kept. Its location is very close to the historic area so within walking distance to everything so if you dont want to have to pay to park constantly, this is a good location to be able to park your car and walk. My only disclaimer, is that you do not control the AC in your room. This left me uncomfortable as my body doesn't regulate temps correctly, and lack of being able to control the AC, left me very hot all night. If you naturally run hot like me, this might not be the hotel for you. Overall though I had a very nice stay and would recommend if the AC situation doesn't bother you.
