The website says "pet friendly" which is why we specifically picked this motel. We arrived at 3AM. Not only is the lobby to the office locked, there's a sign on the window that we check in at that says "no pets". Seriously?! The staff memeber comes to the window, asks for my drivers license (normal), but then scans the bar code and proceeds to take over 15minutes to "check us in" all the while we're freezing outside. When I asked what was taking so long he says "it won't let me charge you". I reminded him that I had already paid thru Hotels.com. he says "l know 1 mun please". I see him sign what looked like my name on the screen. I was never given anything to sign, and when I asked for a receipt I got a print out that basically had nothing on it. The room was freezing even with the heat on. The bed was worse than my old futon, and we had a sheet and a "comforter" that was basically another sheet. It was so poorly lit (despite it being newly remodeled) that I had to use a hand mirror to put my contacts in. Awful awful awful. Had it not been 3 AM, had we not been exhausted after a full day on the road, we would've cut our losses and left. The area was not the best either.

Bathroom was like a truck stop bathroom. Lots of damage that just was never repaired. New TV - gross bathrub. A reasonable place to stay if everything else is booked and you just need a place to crash.

Stay away from this hotel. Not safe. When checking in we were told 30% of the time when scanning the card to get into the room someone may already be in the room because the manager of the hotel makes reservations and doesn't update the system or let the front desk employee know that the room had already been reserved. The desk clerk wouldn't call the room to see if anyone was in the room or go check the room to see if anyone was in the room. The desk clerk said if someone is in the room bring the key back and she will refund us. I said i don't feel safe knowing thst someone can walk in on me and i can walk in on them and would like to cancel reservation. I recieved my refund but lost my creidt from Hotels.com.
