The property is a combination of condos that are owned and rented out and "motel rooms" for the resort. The facilities are super clean, the grounds are amazing and the staff is super nice and helpful. Its worth every penny.

Thought we were going to have a lake view, that’s why we went there but we were in the back , one window looking at parking lot on bottom floor ! Heater was very loud wake you up loud , tv was in and out ! Pool is across the street parking lot in office ! very inconvenient this time of year ! no coffee in morning at office Can say room was very clean and well decorated , but felt like we were in a closet with no view of anything for the money , hence HARBOR VIEW ??? Won’t be back won’t recommend !

Very nice property, helpful and nice staff, donuts every morning and just steps to the beach or nearby shops & restaurants. Great indoor pool! Our 1-bedroom unit has some older furniture but the kitchen appliances appear new, and everything was very clean. Plenty of space for two people!

Staff was amazing. Room was mostly clean. There were little areas that needed attention. Walls and baseboards could have used a wipe down but bedding was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a little small but clean. Chlorine was overpowering in pool area but clean.

There fishing so access to the pier was excellent. Table and chairs for getting gear ready. Friendly staff and fresh donuts and coffee to start the day. Easy stroll to Stormcloud Brewery for an evening pint.

Pleasant staff, nice pool and hot tub. Very clean and comfortable room. Nice to have coffee and delicious doughnuts in the morning. Right on the beach and walkable to town.

Close to the beach. Clean, updated room with good sized mini fridge, microwave, and TV. Hot shower with good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Walkable to the restaurants of Frankfort. Great biking trails. Decent coffee and love those doughnuts!

Our stay was amazing. From check in, fast and easy. Employee was knowledgeable to surrounding area. Our room was spotless. Bed was comfortable. Definitely stay here again.

Everything was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, convenient, and very cozy. The reason I'm not giving this a five star it's because the jacuzzi tub in our room had a lot of black flakes coming out of the Jets which was really gross. When you're paying a lot of money to have a nice weekend you expect everything to be completely sanitary. It was upsetting that we couldn't use the tub in our room.

We stayed at Harbor Lights Resort during a few stints my husband worked at the local hospital last month, February. We've come across this resort many times during the summer as well and the location is gorgeous!! Its proximity to local restaurants the beach and shops is perfect!! We were so happy with the customer service, the room, the amenities, nice kitchen, bathroom fireplace. Its a great place to stay we give it a 12 out of 10. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. We will definitely be back!!

The room was very nice and roomy and quiet great view of Lake Michigan friendly helpful front desk room was very clean and spacious and matched the picture and description a couple things the outlets in the bathroom didn’t work and outlets in the kitchen and to close the shades in the bedroom you had to step in the whirlpool tub which was a bit of a challenge nice deck but no chairs all in all a good stay just a few items Great location walk to many local places

The location--right on an amazing sandy beach on Lake Michigan--can't be beat. It is also a short walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Frankfort. The room was fresh and clean, with a fridge and microwave, small table with two chairs, and comfortable beds. The staff people were friendly and helpful. This was my first time here and it exceeded my expectations.

Location! Location! Location! Lake Michigan and Benzie Lake right outside the door. Bike trail starts across the street. Active 4 block downtown area. Art museum a stone's throw away. Good bed, shower and TV. Will upgrade to a room with a Lake MI view next time.

The location to the beach was wonderful. The beach is fantastic! It was nice to have an indoor pool just in case it rained. The grounds were well kept and our standard room was clean. We were located on the bottom floor, which was convenient, yet upstairs was very loud. We were also located right in front of the stairs which was also loud. When I registered I notified staff that my service dog would be joining me and when I called prior to arrival the friendly staff stated that she saw in the notes that my service dog would be present. Yet as I sat quietly and alone in the corner of the pool area I was approached by staff regarding my service dog. Her statements and questions were more hostile than I expected. Despite her demeanor the other 2 front desk staff and 2 cleaning staff were very friendly. As a "local" of Traverse City I would return to Harbor Lights Resort and book way in advance for a room with a view. I booked months in advance yet Frankfort in July is very popular.

I’m a pretty picky traveler, and I have small children so when things go wrong on a trip, I get really upset. There was literally not one thing that went wrong with our stay! I’m so impressed with everything that we will definitely be back! My three-year-old had a great time playing in the pool, and visiting the beach right next to the resort. We really enjoyed walking downtown and checking out the little shops and cafés. The Customer Service at the front desk is amazing! They were so accommodating and provided anything that we needed when we asked.

Great staff at the desk and housekeeping did a great job each day cleaning up. Just a short walk to the beach and lighthouse. Also a short walk to shops and dining. Donuts in lobby each morning were great. Would love to come back. About 35 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes entrance.

Very clean and right next to the beach. Beautiful sunset! Walking distance to the Harbor and downtown. Great restaurants and shops. Driving distance to many cute little towns.

The location--right on an amazing sandy beach on Lake Michigan--can't be beat. It is also a short walk to shops and restaurants in downtown Frankfort. The room was fresh and clean, with a fridge and microwave, small table with two chairs, and comfortable beds. The staff people were friendly and helpful. This was my first time here and it exceeded my expectations.

Great staff at the desk and housekeeping did a great job each day cleaning up. Just a short walk to the beach and lighthouse. Also a short walk to shops and dining. Donuts in lobby each morning were great. Would love to come back. About 35 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes entrance.

Location! Location! Location! Lake Michigan and Benzie Lake right outside the door. Bike trail starts across the street. Active 4 block downtown area. Art museum a stone's throw away. Good bed, shower and TV. Will upgrade to a room with a Lake MI view next time.

Been to Northern Michigan but never to Frankfort and wanted a place by the water. Took a chance on Harbor Lights and it was a winner. It's just the two of us (we're retired) so we stayed in one of the motel rooms with no direct view of the lake but it was right around the corner and only a minute or two from the water. Convenient for a couple of picturesque sunsets! It was a slightly longer walk to the small downtown which has a few nice restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Close to the beach. Clean, updated room with good sized mini fridge, microwave, and TV. Hot shower with good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Walkable to the restaurants of Frankfort. Great biking trails. Decent coffee and love those doughnuts!

Nice property with a few amenities. No breakfast but does have excellent donuts from a local bakery. Easy walking distance to beach and downtown area. Pool is in a separate building.

There fishing so access to the pier was excellent. Table and chairs for getting gear ready. Friendly staff and fresh donuts and coffee to start the day. Easy stroll to Stormcloud Brewery for an evening pint.

Pleasant staff, nice pool and hot tub. Very clean and comfortable room. Nice to have coffee and delicious doughnuts in the morning. Right on the beach and walkable to town.

Can’t beat the location right on Lake Michigan! Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with drawers, a table and a closet space. They had laundry on site and one of the best ice maker machines I’ve ever seen! We will be back!

Location is perfect. Walk to town. take a few steps and you're on the beach. Short drive to the most beautiful scenery in Michigan. Friendly staff. They have doughnuts and coffee available every morning. Free parking. What's not to like!?

When I booked our last minute stay, I was just hoping for a clean room for my kids and I. Harbor Lights Resort was so far above and beyond that! The room was fantastic - very clean, modern, and just steps away from the beach! Staff was very kind and helpful. The property is beautifully maintained and quiet. I do wish parking was more plentiful, but you have to work with what you've got. All in all, it was the perfect homebase for our Sleeping Bear Dunes weekend!
