I love the location of this property. Very convenient to downtown and theatre. Love the wrap around porch lovely spot to sit. enjoyed the seating area inside which is shared with others for breakfast but otherwise was ours to use outside our room. The one negative is that it was noisy. We could hear the people talking in the room above us and walking around. Not a huge issue except the first night was very noisy until after midnight.

It was our managers third day but it seems like a great fit for her! Very good food, personable morning chats. Location was excellent - could easily walk to town and felt safe and easy. I was worried about the Shakespeare room because the bathroom is down the hall but since it was a first floor suite, and they had a curtain dividing the dining area, it actually felt fairly enclosed.

We loved staying at Finlay BnB, Anne was wonderful to chat with, breakfasts were delicious and left us full. We loved how close it was to the main strip on NOTL and how we didn't have to worry about parking. Would definitely come back again

The Oscar Wilde room was large, quiet and cozy, especially with the natural gas fire place on. Location is ideal with a short walking distance to shops, restaurants and theatre. Highly recommended.

This was our first time at the Finlay House but it definitely won't be our last. The hospitality is wonderful. The accommodations and excellent breakfasts prepared by Yvonne are both excellent. You can't beat the location. We parked there and took the brief walk to the theaters and downtown for dining and shopping.

Beautiful home with lovely room……..Bernard Shaw. Very quiet and peaceful stay with a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The Irish Harp restaurant for dinner was a mere 5 minute walk and even the Main Street for shopping was a short jaunt. Would definitely look at staying there again.

We stayed three nights, parked the car and walked everywhere as the location is within walking distance to the main (Queen) street, restaurants, theatres, shopping, and the lake. Host, Julie, was very accommodating to our needs and preferences of two seniors, always available, very willing to help with any questions we had, offered to make reservations for us, and generally great to chat with. Breakfast was excellent! We stayed in the Bernard Shaw room with an ensuite bathroom, very comfortable bed, several pillows to choose from, and all very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Finlay House. The hostess, Yvonne, was super friendly and helpful. Her breakfasts were delicious and presented beautifully. Our room was very spacious, well-appointed and clean. The bathroom was large with much storage space. Finlay House has a great location within walking distance to most attractions. This was our second stay in the Oscar Wilde Room at the Finlay House and we would stay here again. The room is a good size with a small sitting area and large private bathroom. The room is clean, and with only one other room on the floor, very quiet. (Although, the portable air conditioner needed in the summer is noisy - but necessary.) It is walking distance to all of the main shopping and dining options in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The breakfast made fresh by our host was delicious and the price for our stay at the Finlay House very reasonable.

We had a great stay right in the heart of NOTL at the Finley House. My daughter and I loved our stay in the Bernard Shaw room with a private bathroom. The room was spotless and well appointed. Instructions on arrival were easy to follow. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat, homemade French toast, real Canadian maple syrup, bacon, orange juice, coffee and bananas. What a great way to end our stay. If you’re looking for a place to stay in NOTL I would highly recommended Finley House. I’d stay again.

our hosts were fantastic- showed us to our room (we were I hour early) and later took us on a mini-tour to show us where the theater we would be attending was, and also pointed out a number of fine restaurants to choose from. room was clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay there again!

The property is very clean, quiet, and very convenient. The only reservation I had was that the tv does not have regular tv channels. Everything is digital private stations. Perhaps the majority do not care about that but I do stay in places where that is not the case.

My mother & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent and walkable to everything we wanted in town. Breakfasts were great. Our room was very comfortable and homey.

Finlay House was an excellent spot for our overnight stay. Our room and the entire facility were very well appointed. The bed was wonderful. We enjoyed that it was easy walking distance to the restaurants, the shopping area, and the Shaw Festival theater. We look forward to returning here for an even longer stay. Highly recommended!

Very nice comfortable room. Close to the main strip of NOTL. I wanted to fit the bed in my car because it was so comfortable. Great wifi. Better than most hotels and we have stayed in them in many countries.

Beds super comfy , nice hot shower with thick fluffy towels . Wish we had taken advantage of the hot breakfast . Walked from Shaw shuttle to gorgeous downtown and both theatres …great location . Yvonne was so welcoming and Erlinda very accommodating and scrupulously honest regarding my payment . Thank you !

Location is great and the room was lovely! Very clean and cozy! The mattress could be a bit better. Not overly comfortable. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a continental breakfast as expected (it was part of our 1 night stay). Also didn’t receive the unlock code for the room in advance. Thankfully Lillian (house keeping) was there to help! Despite some downsides, I would stay again. I think these items can be easily corrected.

our hosts were fantastic- showed us to our room (we were I hour early) and later took us on a mini-tour to show us where the theater we would be attending was, and also pointed out a number of fine restaurants to choose from. room was clean and comfortable, we would definitely stay there again!

Convenient last minute choice but tired property not managed by owners. Shakespeare Room, bath is private but not connected to the room. Poor guest communication. Too many contact points who did not share. Did not pass on request for GF breakfast. Told to book direct not through Expedia. (And yes it smells of weed, a lot)

The house is very nice and the room a good size and comfortable. The location is excellent. However, because of a last minute emergency outside the host's control, the usual breakfast was not available. In my view the host did a poor job of compensating for that change. Although there was modest per night discount as a result, the lack of even coffee and tea was disappointing. There was an electric kettle in the common room, but there was no coffee, and no milk or sugar. There was a Keurig machine in our room, but the coffee and tea pods provided with it had already been used. When I texted the host about this, she said she would have someone get us replacement supplies, but that did not happen. I also did not receive a receipt indicating what I actually was charged for the stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Finlay House B&B! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the historic and beautiful downtown area. Our room was comfortable and inviting, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was our host, Yvonne. She was beyond welcoming, attentive to every detail, and went out of her way to make us feel at home. Her warmth and hospitality made this a truly unforgettable stay. Highly recommend!

We stayed three nights, parked the car and walked everywhere as the location is within walking distance to the main (Queen) street, restaurants, theatres, shopping, and the lake. Host, Julie, was very accommodating to our needs and preferences of two seniors, always available, very willing to help with any questions we had, offered to make reservations for us, and generally great to chat with. Breakfast was excellent! We stayed in the Bernard Shaw room with an ensuite bathroom, very comfortable bed, several pillows to choose from, and all very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay in the Oscar Wilde Room at the Finlay House and we would stay here again. The room is a good size with a small sitting area and large private bathroom. The room is clean, and with only one other room on the floor, very quiet. (Although, the portable air conditioner needed in the summer is noisy - but necessary.) It is walking distance to all of the main shopping and dining options in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The breakfast made fresh by our host was delicious and the price for our stay at the Finlay House very reasonable.

Finlay House was an excellent spot for our overnight stay. Our room and the entire facility were very well appointed. The bed was wonderful. We enjoyed that it was easy walking distance to the restaurants, the shopping area, and the Shaw Festival theater. We look forward to returning here for an even longer stay. Highly recommended!

This was our first time at the Finlay House but it definitely won't be our last. The hospitality is wonderful. The accommodations and excellent breakfasts prepared by Yvonne are both excellent. You can't beat the location. We parked there and took the brief walk to the theaters and downtown for dining and shopping.

I was staying in Niagara-on-the-Lake for the total eclipse but also to see “Witness for the Prosecution” at the Shaw Festival and to take a “Ghost Tour” of Fort George. The Finlay House is very conveniently located within walking distance of Lake Ontario and downtown Niagara-on the-Lake. That make my stay in town very enjoyable.

Beautiful home with lovely room……..Bernard Shaw. Very quiet and peaceful stay with a wonderful breakfast in the morning. The Irish Harp restaurant for dinner was a mere 5 minute walk and even the Main Street for shopping was a short jaunt. Would definitely look at staying there again.

Great location and lovely house. Room was large and bed comfortable. Had a few things in the room that needed repair...empty picture book and headboard not secured. Also had multiple extra pillows and spreads on the bed, which since COVID I even more uncomfortable with. We also found breakfast a bit odd. It was continental between 9 and 10 am and when I arrived down the other guests had pretty much cleaned out the buffet. The owners said we could ask for more items but that seemed a bit uncomfortable to us. Especially since the room was quite expensive.Also found a 10 am checkout to be a bit early for a Sunday am!

We had a great stay right in the heart of NOTL at the Finley House. My daughter and I loved our stay in the Bernard Shaw room with a private bathroom. The room was spotless and well appointed. Instructions on arrival were easy to follow. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat, homemade French toast, real Canadian maple syrup, bacon, orange juice, coffee and bananas. What a great way to end our stay. If you’re looking for a place to stay in NOTL I would highly recommended Finley House. I’d stay again.

Upon entering, the house reeked of weed. Being allergic, I couldn\'t stop sneezing and blowing my nose! The room was nice, and the hosts were friendly. The "continental breakfast" was shameful though. For the amount that this place charges, maybe offer a plate of bacon and eggs? 3-day old croissants wrapped in plastic wrap, and make-it-yourself oatmeal is not what I consider a "continental breakfast".

My wife and I just returned home from a lovely 3-night stay at the Finlay House B & B. We stayed in the Bernard Shaw bedroom, which accurately matched the attractive on-line photos. The room was very clean and well maintained, with a very comfortable king-sized bed. Hot and tasty breakfasts were served promptly each morning at 9:00 a.m. Each meal was unique, well balanced, and prepared with a creative flare. We had a wonderful stay & Woolf he happy to stay again. Yvonne was a gracious host, serving a lovely hot breakfast each morning. I was traveling with my aunt who had some medically related needs and Yvonne made it clear she was there to help, gave us extra supplies and towels and made us feel so very welcome. She also shared her local knowledge of the area. The inn itself was recently redecorated with lovely furnishings, art, and beautiful wallpapers. Our room (Bernard Shaw Room) was spacious and the bed was so comfortable! My aunt and I shared the oversized king that has a memory foam mattress which prevents one from noticing movement of the other - we slept like rocks! The only improvement I might suggest would be better internet connection, but I wasn’t there to work so it was okay. Beautifully done, quaint/updated, comfortable, great breakfasts, excellent host!
