This is a fantastic place to stay. An Edwardian mansion on the hill overlooking Daylesford and easy walking to the main strip. We stayed in the Zebra room with everything you need including real milk and real ground coffee, and an open fire. Great value and we would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing 4-night stay here, the room is beautifully appointed with a lot of Edwardian charm. Very comfortable, and being able to use the fireplace added to the romantic charm! Very warm even in winter, and very conveniently located near the main street of Daylesford.

Loved the property. Really gorgeous. It was very quiet and I'm a nice close location to the main Street. I was disappointed the Jacuzzi was out of order as that, for me was the main reason I booked this particular place and was my search parameter. That should have been mentioned on the Expedia website.

The Manse is a wonderful place to stay. Daylesford is very cold in August but The Manse was cozy and well warmed despite its grand scale. There was even an open fire ready to go in our room, and the huge bathtub was wonderfully warming. The building is stylish throughout, each room decorated in a sensual individual colour theme. The welcoming gifts of chocolate, biscuits and a great red wine were appreciated. We had the whole place to ourselves for our winter midweek stay. Helen the manager was very welcoming and showed us around. We will definitely be back soon and next time will book some of the well being therapies. The brass bathtub alone would be worth it! The room featured a kitchenette and had plunger coffee, teas, fresh milk, orange juice, breakfast cereals, a microwave and all the necessary crockery and so on. Buy some locally baked bread and you are set for a scrumptious breakfast.

What a fabulous find The Manse was. We stayed 2 nights mid-winter and it was wonderful. 5 minutes walk to the main shops, on site parking, lovely views and a very old-world atmosphere which is just perfect when visiting Daylesford. We enjoyed the spa pool/ jacuzzi and then returned to our room for a quiet wine in front of an open fire. We'd definitely stay here again .

A spacious room, decorated with old-world charm and character, in a beautiful old building. The complimentary wine and chocolates were a very nice surprise. The balcony on the first floor has a nice view over Daylesford, ideal for that relaxing glass of wine.

She's a grand old girl that needs some love and care and a good deep clean. I have a dust allergy and had an adverse reaction- so I couldn't enjoy and relax in the ambience. The bathtub is actually in the room - so friends beware. The bed clean and comfy. It was very a very welcoming gesture to have some treats waiting for us and the contact person was very polite and generous too.

Showering a bit messy because it's to be done with a hand held shower in a bath with no screening - as it would have been in days gone by. Mattress close to needing replacement. A few cobwebs. Parking at back of house. Helen, the manager, is very friendly and helpful.

It is in immaculate condition, is full of nostalgia, has the comfiest bed EVER, a wonderful feel, divine claw foot bath, beautiful gardens, was so warm and cosy, and incredibly close to everything! Furniture in Green room was stained & in need of a deep clean. The toilet does not have a conventional toilet seat, but a wooden board like a drop toilet with a hole in centre, which would be very difficult to sanitise; also it is in a small cupboard-like room with no ventilation when the door is closed. We appreciated the biscuits, chocolate, wine & breakfast supplies, but even these could not tempt us to stay the second night, even though booked & pre-paid. Dusty & not recommended for people with asthma/allergies.

The manse was a beautiful place to stay (we stayed 3 nights) the sumptuously decorated, our room was extremely beautiful to be in; The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the bath was gigantic, and I believe the l toilet rates a mention.. although modern plumbing was used and it was immaculately clean as everything else in the place, it was like going back in time... to understand you have to visit! Was even notified before book intime that our room was ready, great service/communication. Bottle of wine, chocolate and packet of biscuits were delightfully supplied extras. Can definitely recommend without hesitation. 👌

Love our stay! The building itself is a beautiful historic architecture. We stayed in the Zebra room, the view was stunning overseeing the whole town. Breeze coming in from window was really nice. Fireplace and deep bathtub are also highlights of our stay. The host provided generous breakfast bits and small snacks for us in the room, it was very sweet of them! Also love the contactless check in and out, plenty of privacy for couple, We will definitely come back.

The room was absolutely stunning. The house steeped in history. Helen had left some very thorough instructions. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch. As was the red wine and chocolate....very appreciated. The late checkout of 11am was also fabulous. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely short stay at The Manse. There were lots of little unexpected extra gifts that we weren't expecting and this more than made up for the rainy weather outside, and the open fire was very much appreciated of the cold wet evenings.

We appreciated the generosity of our host & the quirky historical aspect of the building. However as an older couple, we found many factors difficult. Because we had suitcases (travelling for 3 weeks) space was a real challenge, not to mention getting the cases up the steep stairs. I’d imagined there’d be someone to assist & that we’d meet our host. The bath is definitely not for us. We decided we’re the wrong demographic to stay here.

Great ambience. A lovely getaway place for a couple. Daylesford is a walking town. It’s a decent hill but manageable. And the driveway at the Manse is steep. I stayed in an upstairs room which was lovely.

We had an amazing 4-night stay here, the room is beautifully appointed with a lot of Edwardian charm. Very comfortable, and being able to use the fireplace added to the romantic charm! Very warm even in winter, and very conveniently located near the main street of Daylesford.

Had a lovely stay at the Manse.. It was so cozy & the wine & chocolate was a lovely touch… It was so central to Daylesford & I would definitely stay again..

The room was absolutely stunning. The house steeped in history. Helen had left some very thorough instructions. The continental breakfast was a lovely touch. As was the red wine and chocolate....very appreciated. The late checkout of 11am was also fabulous. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful building - stunning room. My room was spacious, well appointed and breakfast supplies were generous. It was a simple process for access and my stay was peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely go again - my room had a fabulous view of Daylesford sunsets.

It was a beautiful old building very old fashioned with claw bath which was ok except for the hand shower over the bath very hard to handle so water went everywhere, that was the only downside. The view of the town was lovely. Breakfast ordinary but appreciated the wine and chocolate

Got extra towels etc easily so the owner is really accommodating. Duvet cover smelt like strong musky body odor in a spot. Slept without it the whole time. A bit dusty in general. Heating was great and so was the cast iron bath tub.

Beautiful room. Clean, well appointed and full of comforts. Missed a traditional shower . My wife LOVED the bath! Easy access. No contact wth staff except via message bank. The electricity blew at 8am on the final morning. Left a note. Great parking. Wonderful resturants in town. Highly recommended.

What was on the Internet not the same as experienced, Take "breakfast included" Is fruit juice, cereal, fruit and coffee/tea considered a breakfast? I doubt it. This outlet on market for past two years and it was noticable. Weeds outside and inside very run down. The whole area totally "unloved" I think owners should sell and cut their losses and let someone take over and run correctly as a B&B. Service non existant and it took two phone calls to find out what was happening with our booking. Saw no one in the two day stay so I guess the bottom line more important than customer service. Really the bathroom facilties for older people really not fit for the purpose and in the end we did not use on second day. Toilitries supplied for two for two days was to say a joke. 3 small tubes and one large cake of soap. Might be a reason I guess. No set up fire as stated in brochure, dead flies on window ledges and no set up for luggage in the room. So, what can I say. DON'T STAY HERE. SORRY! but I guess the truth hurts.
