This was convenient for an overnight sleep. Beware that when you check in LATE there is parking that says visitor parking and if you are only staying from midnight to 6am you figure thats ok seeing as there is no time limit. At 6am find a $30 parking ticket and down the row there was a machine, but not lit up at night and sign did not say 2 hour parking limit. Very unfair!!

I was on the first floor room 103,the hallways are long and front exit is far off.The activities room had a nice 70" screen,but the BBQ outside had not been cleaned,so didn't use it.Also no tool to clean.Airconditioning in the room worked but was unable yo adjust.just a bit too vool to sleep at night.

Great value; dormitory accommodation, affordable, very few amenities, unexpected options like a pool table and barbecues. NOT a hotel - no pool, no ice machines. Beds and pillows are made for durability, not comfort - but adequate. Exceptionally affordable for an inexpensive stay. Full kitchen but only a microwave and no dishes or utensils; wonderful for having takeout meals at the table & chairs. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchenette for half the price of an inexpensive hotel. Close to the beach on Kempenfelt Bay, so great for a family beach weekend.

Glad we stayed there, very cozy and quiet. Excellent value and friendly staff who made sure to look after all my needs. The front desk was staffed 24/7. Buses running close by. Just steps from the college campus.

The property is absolutely stunning, and the campus is well kept and run with security 24/7 so you don’t have to worry about your safety on site. The room… was rather dingy. There was mud and dust caked in the corners, the towels had some stains, the bedding was old and outdated and scratchy. If you’re looking for somewhere affordable with a kitchenette though it does the trick! I recommend bringing your own blanket, and something to stream to your TV as well as there is wifi but no cable.

They only have two handicap spots I was there two days and was tagged both days displayed my permit in my windshield as required but made no difference The upside is they are taking care of the tickets Other wise everything was as expected!!

Good location, friendly staff and lots of parking. No tv or basic cable which sucks especially when it’s raining all day. Common room is available but I don’t want to hang around strangers would have preferred to just be able to watch tv in my room.

For a last minute place to crash it was more than we expected. Had the 2 bedroom dorm was nice having our own bathroom. Full size refrigerator with freezer.. close to a big shopping ctr.tv with no air channels but if you have an hdmi cable you could hook up your computer or tablet.bed was not to bad..my back didn't hurt in the morning. The security was great and all were very friendly

As soon as we checked in to our room we checked right back out.. the room was unfit to stay in .. the bathroom was a disaster,their was dirt all over the floors, the wall paper was coming off the walls.. their was people partying in the hall way kids running up and down the hallways.. when we went to check out we asked how to go about getting a refund.. the lady on the counter said that they don’t deal with refunds. So she gave us a business card to her manager we have tryed every form to get a hold of him with no response. Very poor customer service

This is the 2nd time I stayed at the Residence and it was very comfortable, clean, spacious & safe both times. Keep in mind it is a student residence and you will see some wear from previous tenants but overall it is very well kept.

there was garbage all around the front and parking lot. The windows are gone covered with wood and tarp. The rooms are dirty let me correct that very dirty. TV in both rooms but you can not use them. No phone in room to even call the front desk. Guest party in the hallway2-3 am. The only good thing the young girl at the front desk was very pleasant.

We like the 2 rooms at this property, and that’s why we stay regularly. The room we had this time had 2 very worn out mattresses that caved in the centre making sleep rough. After night 1, I asked if we could somehow have that fixed, and was told a simple “no”. There were a few large groups of people who had unsupervised kids that were very loud and playing in the elevator area which echoed Dow the hall. Reception did not answer the phone to address the issue. We had sleeping children and found this very annoying. We will likely stay elsewhere next visit to Barrie.

Super idea, great use of seasonal college residence. Units were stocked with the basics of any hotel, yet provided two private bedrooms as opposed to the standard 2 beds of a hotel room. Loved the full size fridge in the kitchenette. Downside, no kettle or coffee maker, TVs did not have remotes for the service provider (Shaw in this case). Free WIFI saved the day with a cable hookup from laptop to TV. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable pillows. Beds don’t have proper mattress cover so the sheet just pulls off. Good AC. Nice to have full sized fridge. Rooms are run down with peeling wallpaper, sad shower and base cover. Good price for a cheap stay.

The residence and conference centre was a great place for us to spend the night in Barrie. One note, there is no TV available in the rooms (there is a TV, but no cable). There is a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, but no plates or cutlery. Great front desk staff. Great value!

Average budget accommodation. These are basically student dorm suites rented during Summer. Check in is super slow, one person only and it was a line up of more than 10 guests. Suites are two simple small bedrooms, a kitchenette and small dinning table with two chairs and a standard bathroom. They provide lenins, towels and soup. Excellent for out of town budget stays.

We waited for someone to show up at the reception dates for 30 minutes. Then entered our room, put the suitcase down and saw a huge insect run accross the room. Returned to the reception desk, asked for a refund and told that he wasn’t there So very disappointed

There was nothing the we liked about our stay here. We found both the checkin and checkout people to be very rude and couldn’t careless. The room was not clean but because of the reception we received upon checkin, we didn’t bother to say anything. Although there were TVs in the room neither of them worked and when I asked I was told I needed a computer. Since when is a computer needed to watch Tv? There were other things.Very very rude people. I will never stay there again

Although there were TVs in the room neither of them worked and when I asked I was told I needed a computer. Since when is a computer needed to watch Tv? There were other things.Very very rude people. I will never stay there again

Great value; dormitory accommodation, affordable, very few amenities, unexpected options like a pool table and barbecues. NOT a hotel - no pool, no ice machines. Beds and pillows are made for durability, not comfort - but adequate. Exceptionally affordable for an inexpensive stay. Full kitchen but only a microwave and no dishes or utensils; wonderful for having takeout meals at the table & chairs. Two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchenette for half the price of an inexpensive hotel. Close to the beach on Kempenfelt Bay, so great for a family beach weekend.

Two people in a two bedroom unit. Comfortable beds, good shower. Big fridge and a microwave. No utensils. Good a/c. Easy access off the highway. Go to Building with Blue roof.

What is there to say really? It’s super affordable, easy access, easy parking, easy to find and seconds from the highway. Having my own kitchen with fridge and microwave is an huge bonus. Anytime I stay in Barrie this is the place.

Good price, ac was running perfect. One bed sheet could be spreaded under comforter. One hot water kettle could be given for making tea or coffee in the room.

Super idea, great use of seasonal college residence. Units were stocked with the basics of any hotel, yet provided two private bedrooms as opposed to the standard 2 beds of a hotel room. Loved the full size fridge in the kitchenette. Downside, no kettle or coffee maker, TVs did not have remotes for the service provider (Shaw in this case). Free WIFI saved the day with a cable hookup from laptop to TV. Would definitely stay here again.

We were attending a graduation held at the college and being able to stay on campus was convenient and much more budget friendly than a hotel room Our room was clean and comfortable, had 2 bedrooms a bathroom with shower and kitchenette with Full sized refrigerator and microwave, convenient for longer stays but are not equipped with utensils or dishes, so remember to bring your own, and a hot plate for cooking meals. There is a tv in the rooms but service not provided, with the free Wi-Fi you could probably hook up a fire tv or dvd

Easy to find from the 400. Front staff helpfull. Kitchen did not have any dishes, coffeemaker or kettle, it would have been nice to know ahead of time. bathroom sink did not drain and there were no maintenance staff on hand for the weekend to repair.

Bon endroit pour séjour à faible coût. Tranquille. Lit confortable. Il faut amener une machine à café et de la vaisselle si on veut manger sur place. Personnel à l'accueil très courtois.

Outstanding. Close highway access on the campus of Georgian University in Barrie. Dorm rooms that are booked as mini-suites during the Summer break. Quiet, clean, efficient check-in. Really nice experience. Plenty of major chain stores within quick driving distance, as well as chain restaurants for those who don't want any surprises.

The room I stayed in needed some updating, walls needed patching, new wallpaper and some repairs near the ceiling. Perhaps they have been busy and are delayed in making the repairs. Otherwise, all good

This place is a great alternative to hotels for a nights stay or two . The rooms are large (they are dorm rooms ) and for the most part - clean . There is a full sized fridge and microwave and a spot outside to bbq. On the downfall , we are there for an extended stay - over 2 weeks , it’s stated that you can receive housekeeping services after 3 consecutive nights , after nearly a week we asked for services and was told EVERY day we asked (and we asked each morning ) “housekeeping is too busy”. After hearing that 7 times for 7 mornings I kindly reminded her we had checked in over a week and a half ago and was told the sane thing each morning . She told us she would try to get somebody to our room . While we were out - they did come to our room but left a card saying they couldn’t clean due to personal items (a backpack on our bed and kids stuffed animals on the other ) . They left 2 towels , a change of sheets and 2 plastic bags on the table . Anywho - I would still recommend this place , it is great for the price and for what it is , but , I feel the communication amongst staff could possibly be better . Housekeeping with extended stays benefits everyone - including the property and cleaners !

Best budget accomodations I've ever found! Nowhere else around will you find a two bedroom with kitchenette for this price. Beds were comfortable, with nice clean linens and fluffy pillows. Room was very clean. Room was spacious with a full sized fridge. AC worked great and shower was hot. Building was secure and quiet. Couldn't ask for better for the price. I will be staying again, 100%!
