We really enjoyed our stay! My husband and I loved the property and thought it was beautiful and that the location was perfect. We did not see any staff during our five day stay, which was perfectly fine with us but might be a problem for someone else. The check in process was very smooth and easy, which we appreciated as we were coming in late. The only real con was that the parking situation was difficult because the snow packed on the sides of the lot meant that the whole parking lot could not be utilized. Because of this we ended up parking in public parking across the street. Not a big deal. Overall we loved our stay and we cant wait to come back someday! Especially the value for the price is exceptional. I highly recommend staying at this property!

not for one who has ambulation issues, wish I had known, 3 flights of stairs for me to negotiate with a 45lb. suitcase, plus I was late arrival, I was drained! Next morning down 3 flights, no one to assist or offer to assist!

je suis american, I stayed there before a cruise with family, total 5 people. We stayed in the "pent house" on 3rd floor. This property is quaint, very interesting older place. The stairs are a little steep, and the ceiling low in top floor. The neighborhood was in easy walk of old Quebec and easy to walk to restaurants etc. The staff were very responsive and did good job. My only comment was small bed had only fitted sheet and blanket wish it had fitted sheet + flat sheet + blanket. If you want very new modern place not for you but I liked it.

Really prime location. Walkable to everything. Smooth self check in and out. Responsive host. The stairs lead to the entrance were not properly cleaned from snow accusation. Could be dangerous for people going up and down with their luggages. Our room has a big middle window not covered by any wondow treatment. Impossible to sleep in with the brightness. But overall an affordable stay in a great location.

The property has a lot of character. It is an easy walk to Old Quebec. The room was very quiet. It is in need of some upgrades and you need to be able to climb stairs. There is only parking for small cars. It was good value for yhe money.

Il n’y avait personne pour nous accueillir. C’est un système de clés dans un cadenas qui permet d’accéder à la chambre. Endroit définitivement bien situé. Espace de stationnement trop petit pour notre véhicule, mais un stationnement payant tout près pour 30$ pour 24 h. L’entrée sent le matou! La façade de l’immeuble aurait besoin d’amour si on compare avec les immeubles voisins.

4/5 would come back again! it was my first time checking in with no staff, however a day before my stay they sent me clear instructions on what to do upon arrival which made things super easy. The only issue for me was no parking spots :/ however the place is great and such a vibe!

The location of the hotel is great! Easy checking and checkout. However, the carpet in our room was dirty and it needs deep cleaning. There was no room service even for extra towels. It’s an B&B so you assume breakfast is included and that what the description says when we booked it but it was for $10/person and it wasn’t worth it.

Lit et meubles de chambre propres. Odeurs d'humidité partout, surtout dans la chambre. Odeurs de moisissures prononcées accentuées à la mise en fonction du climatiseur de la chambre. Commentaire à Mme Ching..... AUCUN REMBOURSEMENT...Déjà $ 499,00 de facturé sur carte. Alors je monte sur la chaise pour ouvrir le couvert des filtres du climatiseur. Voyez les photos. Plusieurs années sans nettoyage. Filtres opaques avec moisissures. Je les ai nettoyés dans le bain à l'eau bouillante, suivi d'une désinfection avec un autre produit antibactérien. L'odeur s'est améliorée par la suite. Moisissures sur les tuiles et mur de la salle de bain également. Problèmes évident au plafond. Fenêtres pas nettoyées depuis très longtemps malgré un accès facile par le balcon devant les fenêtres. Voyez la différence entre la vitre blanchâtre et la section inférieure ouverte. N'avons pas visité la salle à déjeuner. Pas confiance... PLUS JAMAIS lorsqu'il est impossible d'obtenir un remboursement pour risques sanitaires.

Smell horrible. Can't open the windows. It really smelled very very bad. Walls are roughly patched, there's no coffee in the room, paint is peeling from the shower wall. There's nobody at the door as expected, but we could not ask anyone about the smell. I would not recommend. Go elsewhere.

Malgré que les draps et serviettes aient été propres, la chambre était salle: taches sur les rideaux, cheveux sur les oreillers décoratifs, interrupteurs salles, filtre gras de poussière sur le meuble de salle de bain. Le bain était réparé avec du « duck tape » et les savons fournis étaient des bouteilles du marché bien entamées. L’auberge au complet est couvert de tapis, ce qui peut être problématique pour les personnes qui ont des alergies, de l’asthme ou qui sont le moindrement dédaigneux! Deplus, malgré que ce soit plutôt banal, s’ajoutait à notre expérience quelques pratiques bizarres. Les poignées de portes étaient couvertes de manchons de latex et les visiteurs doivent enlever leurs chaussures à l’entrée du bâtiment. Nous avons pris connaissance des lieux et jugé qu’il nous serait impossible d’y rester. Nous avons rapidement quitté et laissé les lieux tels quels. Puis, avons communiqué avec les propriétaires qui n’ont jamais retourné nos appels/courriels. À noter qu’il n’y a pas d’admission donc personne à qui se référer. Nous avons alors contacté Expedia qui ont réussi a communiquer avec les propriétaires. Ceux-ci ont refusé de nous rembourser en affirmant que la chambre était propre.

Manoir très bien situé dans Québec. Un peu rustique mais vaut vraiment le coup ! Change des hébergements classiques. Mention spéciale pour la propreté qui était exemplaire ! On reviendra très probablement lors d’un prochain séjour à Québec !

The room was super nice and comparatively affordable. Wifi did not work, sink was slow draining. Things are a bit old but that makes ot even better, comfortable room and bed with nice window view, location is close to bus stop

The B&B Manoir Mon Calme is perfectly located on the Grand Allee and within walking distance to a large selection of restaurants and the Old City. Our room was perfect for a family of 3 with two Queen size beds and lots of room. The B&B has vintage charm with its exposed brick, high ceiling and historical touches (i.e. original iron fireplace). Lots of towels available (nice large bath towels) with the option for housekeeping which we didn't need. We enjoyed breakfast one morning that included fresh fruit, croissant, choice of eggs, coffee & juice. A wonderful choice if you would like to experience Quebec City!

I didn't see a single staff member during my entire stay there. But nonetheless they communicate very well before my arrival, and via information written everywhere telling me what to do and how to do things. My only quibble, but this is personal to me, is the bed is really really soft. And I prefer a firmer bed. Nonetheless, I slept very well.

Fantastic location, great high ceiling and spacious rooms, were able to drop our bags early and leave them in storage when departing. Great A/C, good use of coffee facilities plus fresh water to refill. Great entertainment. Only one thing was you couldn’t open a window for fresh air.

It's a lovely property in a great area but it's pretty dated and the beds feel so old and springy like a trampoline. Still good value just don't expect luxury. They list laundry services as an amenity which was partly why we booked here but they informed us afterwards they didn't have any available

Location was excellent!! Clean, lots of space for our family (we had the top floor 3 bed unit). We bumped our heads a few times on the low ceilings but the space was totally charming. Parking was just down the street, easy to find, no big deal that it wasn't on site. Excellent value. We loved it!

The building is cute outside and inside, clean and walkable to old Quebec. By e mail, staff is responsive and polite. On site, they are cold and rude. No “hello how are you, how do you like your stay” But we got only : “is it your car outside cause you have to pay” or “how many are you because there is an additional “, Don’t expect warmth and welcoming behaviour. Once on site, we were told breakfast was not available because the cook was sick. It was a public holiday so everything was closed but they dod not care and did not try to help. In a nutshell, you could probably get a much better experience somewhere else..

Les heures d'enregistrement etait limité, mais je n ai eu aucune consigne dans les messages envoyer. Il a fallu que j'aille lire sur le site expedia, c etais ecris en bas en petit. Il etais trop tard quand j'ai vue cette information, je n'ai pas pu avoir acces auparavent. Le numero du manoir pour les contacter n'etais pas le bon alors il impossible de commubiquer directement avec eux pour avoir les informations. Personne n a tenter de me rejoindre non plus pour m'acceuillir. Nous nous sommes presente a 21h apres avoir chercher leur stationnement sans succes. Nous avont du faire 3 hrs dans la nuit pour revenir chez nous dormir sans pouvoir se faire rembourser. Pire experience que j ai eu donc plus jamais avec se site et plus jamais avec se manoir.

I didn't see a single staff member during my entire stay there. But nonetheless they communicate very well before my arrival, and via information written everywhere telling me what to do and how to do things. My only quibble, but this is personal to me, is the bed is really really soft. And I prefer a firmer bed. Nonetheless, I slept very well.

I received an email that there was an issue with the payment. I replied but never got a response. I called and was told to update payment method in Expedia. I did but no reaction. Called again: left a message. Nobody called back. I checked the credit card app and the amount had been deducted days before. I called again….. only then I received the instructions for check in. Costed me over 10 euros with T-Mobile…. After check in: be prepared to find written instructions all over the place. Even on the pencil!! The room in itself was okay considering the price. The fridge could have been cleaner and the air in the room was damp.

L'endroit semble magnifique et bien situé. Malheureusement il y a eu de la confusion à propos du "self check-in", et je n'ai pu avoir accès à ma chambre, qui fut tout de même chargée sur ma carte de crédit..... LISEZ BIEN LES DÉTAILS!!!

The B&B Manoir Mon Calme is perfectly located on the Grand Allee and within walking distance to a large selection of restaurants and the Old City. Our room was perfect for a family of 3 with two Queen size beds and lots of room. The B&B has vintage charm with its exposed brick, high ceiling and historical touches (i.e. original iron fireplace). Lots of towels available (nice large bath towels) with the option for housekeeping which we didn't need. We enjoyed breakfast one morning that included fresh fruit, croissant, choice of eggs, coffee & juice. A wonderful choice if you would like to experience Quebec City!

Our room at B&B Manoir Mon Calme was perfect for our stay. We were there to visit Old Quebec, and the location was excellent. A very easy walk to all the areas we wanted to see. The building it self is a bit tired in areas, but clean and very quiet. There are a lot of stairs (just a note for the elderly or those with mobility issues). Our room was spacious and charming. Would recommend a stay here.

Nice place! Perfectly located between the old city and Edu-Inter where I was taking a French immersion course! Lovely surroundings and great restaurants near! Also, bus 11 (best bus for all major access) stopped right in front.

Une belle bâtisse très bien placée pour visiter le Vieux Québec. La chambre était très spacieuse et la literie correcte. Le petit déjeuner n'est pas extraordinaire mais suffisant. La déco est plutôt vieillotte mais c'est propre.

The room could have been better ventilated. The dampness of the room especially bathroom gave rise to spotting 2 big silverfish roaming around the bathroom floor. Also the breakfast being continental only was $25 plus tax which appears veey expensive. We decided to eat out.

The air conditioning doesn’t work. The breakfast is no free. If you want to eat there is $25 per person. I went there 2 years ago and it was included. The rug smells really bad.

Lit bien mais pas plus. Ce matin petit déjeuner ces un B&B.. personne... donc pas de B&B. Chambre de bain beaucoup de moisisure et ruban adesif da la douche pour cahe les fissures. Par contre un bel endroit bien située. Moi j'aime les veille maison et celle la a du cachet.

Lieu qui nous transporte dans une autre époque, nous avons adoré c'était tout à fait charmant. Nous avions la chambre 5, soit celle au dernier étage, parfait pour une famille nombreuse car c'est un peu comme un dortoir. Netflix gratuit sur la télé. Déjeuner de base mais bien accomodant. Nous avons apprécié pouvoir laisser nos bagages à notre arrivée même si nous étions trop tôt pour la chambre et également lors de notre départ à 11h, nous avons pu laisser nos bagages jusqu'à 17h afin de pouvoir aller marcher dans le Vieux Québec avant de repartir. La dame en charge ne parle pas beaucoup français mais est bien gentille. Nous recommandons:)

The welcome we received was a demand we pay IMMEDIATELY $20 for parking. No words of welcome. No information except what the keys were for. It was NOT welcoming at all!!! Not like other B&Bs we've been to. The worst thin is that this place is falsely calling itself a B&B. It is NOT a B&B! We had to pay $10 each for breakfast!!! I have never had to pay for breakfast at a B&B! EVER! The cleanliness was not desirable. There was an OLD cobweb near the ceiling between two walls. The ceiling was badly repaired. The bathroom looked very dated and need of repairs. That's not what we expect to see at that price! The location, however, was perfect to go visit Old Québec.

This is called a Bed & Breakfast, but breakfast is not included ($25. per person for a Continental Breakfast). Our room was nice and clean. Plenty of towels available. Walking distance to Old Quebec (15 minutes). Parking available, but spot was tight for our truck, but we managed. Plenty of restaurants close by.

This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I've ever had. We arrived around 1:30 a.m. after a long day of travelling and immediately had issues finding parking. Once we finally parked, we realized this wasn't really a hotel—it felt more like an old townhouse. Getting to the room meant carrying multiple heavy suitcases and food up two long, steep, narrow flights of stairs. By the time we reached the room, we were exhausted. When we went inside, there was a huge spider crawling across the ceiling. The ceilings were so high there was no realistic way to deal with it. The room itself looked run-down, poorly maintained, and extremely outdated. The bed was also incredibly uncomfortable. For over $260 a night, this was completely unacceptable. We contacted customer service around 2 a.m., hoping they could help, but they simply told us they weren't the owner and couldn't do much. That left us with no choice but to leave which we informed the customer service agent of. We carried everything back down the stairs and had to search for another hotel in Quebec City in the middle of the night, paying much more than we planned because we had no other option. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this property to anyone. We were charged a night before our stay. We left and have yet to see any payments be refunded.

We got the 3rd floor room for 2 nights. Parked in back for $25/night. Very steep, treacherous, rotten stairs to get to the room. Near the top of stairs, had to duck under a plastic tape. Why? Upon entry to the room, there was a strong, unpleasant smell similar to a dirty men’s urinal. A dirty toilet bowl brush with bits of toilet paper stuck to it in plain view. The tub had vinyl tape on it to hide mold. Two steps to get to toilet. Why? Sheets on bed were remarkably clean. No coffee machine or fridge in room. Rather it was in the hall to be shared. Not a Keurig but a simple coffee maker. Meaning if a guest made coffee, you would have to wait before you could make yours. There were bank type cameras watching you in the hall making coffee. The front steps to enter the building were made of wood. The top two stairs had two extra planks making them higher than the others. I tripped on it. There is a hand written warning on them. Hard to see. Why? Someone must have screwed up making the stairs. In reading previous reviews of three years ago, same complaints, nothing has been done. OMG! I could say, pay less expect less but this place was terrible and overpriced. Good location though.
