The property sits on a tiny island, perched surrounded by water and mountains. It's a really dramatic locale that has to be seen to be believed. We didn't love the hotel overall, however, for a number of reasons. 1. We've been traveling in Norway for two weeks, staying at comparably priced places the whole time. The interiors of the cottages here were the least appealing of anyplace we'd stayed. They should start by putting in good lighting. There are a number of other improvements they could make to make the bedrooms and bathroom more inviting. 2. The breakfast was the least robust of any we've had in Norway, and it did not even come with the price of the room. 3. I felt like we were being nickeled and dimed during our stay. They wanted 300kr per person to use the sauna, which was a lot more than the sauna at the last place we stayed, which was of a comparable nature. When I went to use the laundry, I discovered it charged 100kr to wash, another 100kr to dry. 200kr (a little less than $20) is more than I want to spend on landry. 3. The way they run the sauna seems designed to be inconvenient. They offer just two two-hour blocks every day, 17:00-19:00 and 20:00-22:00. Why they don't let you use it at other points during the day and for less time if you want to accommodate more guests, or give more flexibility in scheduling, doesn't make sense.

You can check in yourself or do it at the reception when you arrive. Eliassen Rorbuer has a really big area, with its own restaurant and a bakery (which opens in June), and private saunas you can book for a fee. The place feels cozy and traditional with all the wooden decor. I booked the Waterfront Superior One-Bedroom Cottage. While it's not super spacious, the kitchen has everything you need, just bring your own seasonings. The bathroom is clean and warm, and they have a smaller hot water tank to be eco-friendly, so if two of you are showering, try to wrap it up in about 40 mins. The outdoor seating area isn't a terrace, you have to go inside to get to it. If it snows a lot, the skylight can get covered and you might not see the sky. I stayed for two nights, on the first night, the skylight was completely covered with snow, so we had to go outside to catch the Aurora . But on the second night, after some rain melted the snow, we could enjoy the Aurora from both inside and out.

Loved the property, views and the staff was great. Nearby restaurant Gadus was outstanding. Road conditions coming into the property needs some work. Look forward to visiting again!

Spacious apartment with a comfortable bed (with two separate duvets) but the real star is the location. We had been watching the Eliassen Rorbuer Hamnøy live stream for months leading up to this trip and the views certainly did not dissappoint. The site is evo-friendly meaning a limited supply of hot water, however we were made aware of this so we consciously took shorter showers and we never ran out of hot water. A large window gave us great views onto the water, and a large comfortable sofa and dining area which meant we could cook our own dinners. There is a small bar and fish and chip truck onsite which served beers, wine and great food. There are adventure activities available to book onsite, we did the kayak tour which was amazing, our guide was great and it was a fantastic experience. Overall, an amazing trip and we left longing to return.

Great location, room was much bigger than we were expecting. Parking was a little tough when we got back from midnight sun hike because some people parked very poorly next to the last open spots. Somebody did open our front door at 10 when checkout was supposed to be 11, we were unsure if it was a worker or a random person….

The property is stunning. We had a cabin that had an amazing view of the mountain. Of course walking outside you have the famous picture of the rorbuers on the edge of the cliff - stunning. Perfect location for many hikes and an easy walk to the next town to grab a bite at Anita’s seafood. The restaurant at eliassen is fantastic (Gadus) and their bakery is great for a morning pick me up.

We extended our originally planned 2 night stay for one more night. We shopped local and made use of the range top and refrigerator. Both rooms we stayed in were great, but the surroundings are spectacular. Service was ++. A washing machine is available, but pricy. 100kr to wash + 100kr to dry adds up in a hurry.

Het uitzicht vanaf het terras was fantastisch. Spijtig genoeg was de cottage volledig outdated en dringend aan vernieuwing toe. Bovendien hing er een onaangename geur in de slaapkamers en vooral de badkamer.

The view and location were breathtaking! The cabins are very charming. Clean and cozy. Only issue is when you shower the water leaks on the floor but it’s a minor inconvenience. Great restaurant and bakery onsite.

My room was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was furnished with the basic, microwave oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The living/sitting area had large windows looking over the water and skylights. The staff was very helpful with all info I needed.

Good location. Fast response to service issues. We had a few minor things wrong with our unit (blinds broken, shower leaked, and heat sparked) but they quickly fixed. Mostly nicely equipped with cooking supplies. However, mini fridge does not have a freezer and there is no ice available on property. When requested, the response was to go to the store and buy a bag, but without a freezer ... that's not a very practical solution. Not enough outlets. Bedroom was super tiny... one side of bed against wall, the other side had exactly 1 body width to egress. Saw a hairdryer in the bathroom, but never did see an outlet. It is very basic, but if you understand that, you will not be disappointed.

Checked in after hours so perhaps the bedding might have been explained if in person. The bedroom is very tiny, and hot as no air. it has a very thin wall to the other bedroom. Cannot have window/curtain open as right next to all the front doors. There IS a foldout bed above sofa, this would have been a much more pleasant option if we had known, in the living room and with some ceiling windows. We knew that people could walk past our windows here, but didnt realise there was a bench for sitting on and enjoying view! No privacy which probably wouldnt bother others. Basic accommodation for price. Lovely bakery and restaurant on property.

Everything you read about this property is true. The walls are thin, the service is OK, but the location is truly outstanding. We were not in the room very much but they are spacious and well taken care of. Stepping out into that view and walking over the bridge is spectacular. It is the only place that did not provide a free breakfast on our trip and at $29 USD per person it was both expensive and very skimpy on the offerings. That was not worth it. The property is well kept. There are plenty of Robreurs around there, but this one may just have the best spot. As mentioned, if you do get one facing the mountains with the big windows, you will be sure to see people walk by your room.

The „rooms“ are more like small apartments, and was in a like new condition. My only complaint is that the bathroom sink is too small or they need to move the cabinet above it so you can actually use it.

We had the cutest room with incredible views of the mountains we loved our stay here. But If you had a room that wasn’t along the water I would be disappointed since the buildings are so close together and the bedrooms are in the front so everyone can see in your room if your drapes are open. Also, the alarm in our room went off multiple times.

Lovely ocean and Mountain View. Comfortable bed. For the price, I would have expected more than one pillow per person. A bedside table or even an outlet would have powered my CPAP, but alas, none. Nice wood decor except for the plastic white Murphy bed contraption. Eyesore. Hard to find our cabin with tiny numbers and no map available online with cell phones.

This hotel is iconic of Hamnøy. View is magnificent. Our cabin is facing the sea with excellent view. The cabin is very clean and provided with a kitchenette with all the necessary utensils and facilities. Mostly importantly, they are well maintained. Bathroom is spacious but because of environmental consideration, hotel water supply is limited by the water boiler size. To me, it is acceptable. The only proml to me is there was some sound from the wooden walls that disturbed my sleep in the second night, probably because of the strong wind. I am satisfied with the hotel as a whole.

Great location. Close to Gadus restaurant and Anitas seafood. Receptionist responds quickly to emails and text messages. Easy check in procedure for late arrival. They provide you with an access code the prior to the date of arrival to allow you to get in easily after their office is closed. Great advice regarding hiking and where to view the midnight

I rorbuer sono praticamente nuovi. Lo staff per l'accoglienza il check-in è professionale e preciso. Purtroppo all'ultimo minuto (per problemi tecnici) ci hanno cambiato un rorbuer per quattro persone con due roburer adiacenti e abbiamo dovuto smembrare la famiglia. In uno dei due appartamenti spostando il divano abbiamo trovato delle crocchette di cane sul pavimento. Abbiamo chiamato lo staff per la pulizia ma si sono presentati mezz'ora dopo quindi ci siamo arrangiati. Con quello che abbiamo pagato direi che il prezzo è decisamente spropositato visti i disservizi.

This place has a lot going for it. We stayed on the waterfront, which was well worth it for the extra money. You are very much in their area, and certain things are priced for tourists (25€ Fish and Chips, €20 Laundry, €30 Sauna). There was a nice bakery with croissants open each morning. The room did provide a great place for us to launch from and relax at. The rooms were simple but clean, felt like were maybe a touch early for the season. The staff was accommodating but certainly treated us like numbers rather than guests. This was especailly frustrating to see they were running a sale on their site after we booked on expedia and deferred that it wasn't possible to rebook. This view was everything though, would come back just for this-super magical, I can't even imagine it in the winter.

Le gros point positif de ce stop fût l’endroit qui est magique. La chambre avec vue mer était très bien située. L’agencement est très bon pour Le salon mais très passable pour la chambre qui est très exiguë. Il n’y a pas vraiment de service puisque check-in et check-out se font en ligne. This is an amazing place, the property itself is a postal card picture, and we enjoyed staying there. Especial thanks to the staffs, they were so nice to arrange everything for our midnight check- in due to ferry cancellation. Even though we only stayed for one night this time, but we already made our decision to come back soon in winter to photo snow scenery and hopefully aurora light.

It's a beautiful place. Perfect location. Very peaceful and quiet. Staff are lovely, very helpful. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Lofoten. There's a bus stop 4min away from the reception, which can take you to Reine or Moskenes towards the ferry.

This hotel is iconic of Hamnøy. View is magnificent. Our cabin is facing the sea with excellent view. The cabin is very clean and provided with a kitchenette with all the necessary utensils and facilities. Mostly importantly, they are well maintained. Bathroom is spacious but because of environmental consideration, hotel water supply is limited by the water boiler size. To me, it is acceptable. The only proml to me is there was some sound from the wooden walls that disturbed my sleep in the second night, probably because of the strong wind. I am satisfied with the hotel as a whole.

Everything you read about this property is true. The walls are thin, the service is OK, but the location is truly outstanding. We were not in the room very much but they are spacious and well taken care of. Stepping out into that view and walking over the bridge is spectacular. It is the only place that did not provide a free breakfast on our trip and at $29 USD per person it was both expensive and very skimpy on the offerings. That was not worth it. The property is well kept. There are plenty of Robreurs around there, but this one may just have the best spot. As mentioned, if you do get one facing the mountains with the big windows, you will be sure to see people walk by your room.

Highly recommended. This is a beautiful old fishing village with very comfortable units. One person in our group had a water view facing a bridge and it was spectacular. The breakfast is 30 USD but it is worth it. The kitchen is very adequate. The bathroom advertises a small water heater, but we have no issues with hot water running out. The staff is very friendly.

Location, location, location. The views were out of this world. The room was large and very well kept. Plenty of parking. Badus Restaurant had great food, although, for breakfast they ran out of food. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Spacious apartment with a comfortable bed (with two separate duvets) but the real star is the location. We had been watching the Eliassen Rorbuer Hamnøy live stream for months leading up to this trip and the views certainly did not dissappoint. The site is evo-friendly meaning a limited supply of hot water, however we were made aware of this so we consciously took shorter showers and we never ran out of hot water. A large window gave us great views onto the water, and a large comfortable sofa and dining area which meant we could cook our own dinners. There is a small bar and fish and chip truck onsite which served beers, wine and great food. There are adventure activities available to book onsite, we did the kayak tour which was amazing, our guide was great and it was a fantastic experience. Overall, an amazing trip and we left longing to return.

The property is stunning. We had a cabin that had an amazing view of the mountain. Of course walking outside you have the famous picture of the rorbuers on the edge of the cliff - stunning. Perfect location for many hikes and an easy walk to the next town to grab a bite at Anita’s seafood. The restaurant at eliassen is fantastic (Gadus) and their bakery is great for a morning pick me up.
