This place is in a lovely location and is a decent size property with plenty of parking. The beds are really comfy and showers nice and powerful. Lovely soft sheets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. Great views from front and back of the property too. It would be even better if it had a more comfortable sofa, bigger TV and decent size dining room table (it's tiny for 4 people).

The cottage was part of a large former hotel and it has been converted very sympathetically. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable - we had a lot of space for the two of us (and the dog!) One of my favourite things was the picture window in the lounge, with beautiful views across the countryside down to the lake. The beds were very comfortable and the area was quiet. We did have a couple of issues with the boiler going off and the kettle not working but these were dealt with quickly. Beside that, everything was great and we had a wonderful time - shame about the rain!

Located in Keswick, this cottage is in the mountains. Derwent Pencil Museum and Keswick Museum and Art Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Castlerigg Stone Circle and Mirehouse & Gardens. Womenrock and Go Ape Whinlatter are also worth visiting. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including birdwatching.
