Toora Lodge Motel

This was probably one of the worst places I have stayed in in the last 10 years. (about 250 hotel stays for work) Advertised Shower, wifi and food. There was no hot water, so we couldn't use the spa bath either. The wifi was so slow it was quicker to use my phone as a modem. They food licence was lost 2 years ago and not been given back. Yet it's on the website that a cooked breakfast was available and the Bistro sign was still swinging outside near the road. On the two occasions i want to the office the 'CLOSED' notice was up with no phone number to call. later in the evening the flies began to gather on the ceiling. They were so thick I could video them from the bed. I was bitten, but not sure it was the flies or bedbugs. The bathroom looked as though it had not been touched since the mid 70's. a lot of patching up and the mastic was broken in many places and silver fish abound. The washbasin was not nice to touch. No-one was in the office the next morning either, again no contact phone number. I couldn't bear to stay another night - although it was paid for. 2 days later (today) I was rung from the motel to ask if I had used the spa! I pointed out that not only had I not used it but couldn't even complain about it, the woman said, 'oh sorry about that' and hung up! How this place managed to get ANY rating at all I have no idea.

Uncomfortable bed, sagged in middle, sofa springs sagged cushions fall through. The website suggests there is a restaurant serving evening meals and breakfast, it is not operating and appears not to have done so for many months. It also states there is laundry facilities - there are not. Whilst we accept it was moderately priced a comfortable bed is paramount and the marketing should be accurate.

I booked this motel because I thought it had meals available through their Bistro, no Bistro and no other food outlets for evening meals in the area Monday and Tuesday nights closest for a meal Foster 15km drive away! Annoying but it happens during non busy season I guess. Township - lovely - people very friendly and the host was nice. Just wish tourist people would update their brochures to not say open 7 days a week on everything you read / seasonal conditions would be helpful for future bookings.

Property was well priced and ticked all boxes when booked online. Especially as it showed a restaurant and bar, which after along day driving sounded good to chill onsite. Arrived and was checked in over the phone as per note on office door. Very disappointed to find neither the bar or restaurant were open, (and the pub which had great food, isn’t walking distance) the heater in the room didn’t work and faulty power point. On a positive note the room was clean other than possible bed bugs???

There was no check in the property was filthy, the table had slops all over it had not been wiped the toilet roll holder was hanging off there were cobwebs everywhere the WiFi did not work the exhaust above the shower had never been cleaned the towel racks were broken the curtains were hanging off the Kogan heater had no fan absolutely disgusting and filthy I paid for 3 nights and left the next morning the owner said I could not get my money back he needed 72 hours notice.

The motel was very rundown and clearly is not maintained. The TV did not work properly, the shower was noisy . There is even an extra charge to clean the room, make the bed daily. The bed linen is old and well used not very hygienic. The overall impression is very disappointing, I booked this for our small cycling group and was very embarrassed by the condition of the place.

It was spotless, quiet and convenient and value for money.

Old soiled bandaid found on floor

No wifi. Unless your room is the one next to the reception, you won't get wifi in your room. The mildly aggressive man on reception will tell you to sit in the car park to get wifi, which is what his regulars do, therefore he is not wrong in advertising his rooms as having wifi. See? Very outdated motel too.

The environment and service is very good except the quality of the Internet at night. Staff are helpful.

The staff was super friendly and I was able to check in earlier which was amazing. The room was a little old fashioned but very clean and spacious. It was perfect for a night and even a few nights could be spent here. If I‘m ever back in the area I would stay here again.

There was no air conditioning

3 of the light bulbs needed replacing, therefore the room was not well lit.

I’m sorry but there was no air conditioning and the fan was noisy. The shower dripped continuously and the extractor fan in the bathroom did not appear to work. Otherwise the staff were very friendly, the room was clean and the walk to the “Royal Standard Hotel” was pleasant and the dining experience very enjoyable.

For an older style country motel it was what we expected. My only real gripe is that the mattress on the bed was like concrete & the floor was looking more appealing. I ended up stealing the cushions off the lounge chairs for a little bit of padding. Outside of the bed it was a very nice, quaint stay & it served our weekend away; unfortunately our cruise out of Port Welshpool was cancelled due to the winds, but we got back down to the Prom for the first time since we were kids.

The host was very helpful. He forwarded me a message about access to the room, we upgraded for a small cost and enjoyed our stay.

Nice old-school motel with a definite 60s - 70s vibe. Rooms were clean and fully equipped (microwave, boiler, toaster, fridge, etc), checking in and out was easy, nothing to complain about really. Good value for money, would definitely stay here again!

We had such a lovely stay at Toora Lodge Motel! The owner was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. About 1 hour from Wilson’s prom so easy access to the park. The room had everything we need and had a lovely garden to watch wildlife. Nearest supermarket and cafe only a 5 minute walk away. Perfect stay. Thank you 🙏

a very nice place. the receptionist is very nice and proactive. a bit far from to Wilson Prom. otherwise a very good place for passing by guests.

Our stay here was lovely! The owner was very friendly and accommodating! It was early spring and still a bit cold, but we were welcomed with a powerful floor heater and electric blankets, so it was warm and cozy during the night. Our room was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable! I had some trouble with the tap in the jacuzzi tub, but once I got it figured out, it was fantastic! The scenery was beautiful and the area was very quiet, making for a relaxing experience. I really appreciated creature comforts like the tv, mini fridge, water kettle, and microwave too. The milk provided for our morning coffee had turned, but we appreciated having enough coffee and sugar to each have two cups before we hit the road. We were just passing through, so I can't comment on activities in the area, but there was a supermarket, a pizza place, and a gas station for our needs. It's a beautiful little town for a serene stay, and I highly recommend this hotel! If we get a chance to return, we'd definitely stay here again! Thank you!
