The room was large and clean, we opted for no cleaning as we were only there 4 nights, we could request extras if required. Staff were friendly, breakfast was ok bit cold.

The hotel is lovely, and the location is beautiful. However, for such a highly awarded hotel, the hospitality could be better. We are at the restaurant by the main lobby and the busser accidentally spilled Cholula sauce on my khaki shorts. I understand accidents can happen. So I go inside and ask to see if they can send my shorts off to the laundry to get the stain out. The front desk team member said she would need to check with her manager. The manager came out a minute later and said unfortunately there is nothing they can do. We asked if there was a Tide to-go pen in the little shop area. The manager didn’t know and told us we could look for one. We didn’t find any options. We asked if there was a washer onsite and then manager said there wasn’t. The manager said “well we can give you like $10 off your breakfast”. At this point the manager was trying to find out who the employee who did this, more than trying to find a solution. At this point I told the manager I will figure this out myself and thanked them for their time. I then spent the next 2 hours going to a local target and getting the necessary supplies to get the stain out myself. When we returned we asked a new team member if there was a washer guests could use, and low and behold, there was a complementary washer onsite. I wasn’t out trying to get something for free, or to get money back, all I wanted was the stain caused by the employee removed. May I suggest management read the book unreasonable hospitality.
