Unfortunately I was really disappointed by this stay. We booked online as it was labeled “pet friendly” only to show up and be charged a $35 dollar pet fee PER dog, totaling $70, almost as much as the room itself. The pool and hot tub were both empty, there was trash piling up outside in the trash cans, our balcony door handle was snapped off, sharp, and unable to lock, and they only provided small, clear, Dixie cups for coffee. The beds were very uncomfortable and made loud, rusty squeaking sounds when you moved at night. The lake view was gorgeous, but with all the hotel options in this area, I’d choose somewhere else next time.

The rooms are right on the beach which is very nice but our tv didn't work so we didn't have anything to watch for the kids

The pictures are grossly misleading. Pictures show a renovated clean room. We first walked into a room that had NOT been cleaned, (and was not a room even remotely close to the pictures on the website.) We were given a key to an adjoining motel and disgusting doesn't even cover it. Stains on the sheets, dead spiders in the bathroom and water that smelled like a sewage plant!

We were originally going to stay in Traverse City but they had no availability in pet friendly hotels, we had searched for hotels around Petoskey and surrounding areas but no luck! We decided to try and book in Mackinaw City and luckily we were able to get 2 rooms and pet friendly. The gentleman behind the counter was managing the people the phone calls asking for room availability some people were upset but even he didn't expect the busyness but he didn't lose composure and remained polite! The rooms looked like they were being remodeled clean sheets, towels. Only problem was no television, luckily I was able to watch my shows on my phone! Also if you are scared ofspiders dont look up the door frame! Id stay again!
