This place is in the Twilight Zone. Maybe an old Howard Johnson’s? Attached to a defunct Chinese Buffet Restaurant/defunct martial arts studio. Weird all the way around. Room was “clean” but you can’t really clean a 60 year old room last rehabbed 40 years ago. Cracked tub, scratchy towels, TV only through Roku; like no access to live local TV. Price was “reasonable” because everything else is insanely over priced, but it’s actual rate should be about $50/night. Very sketchy people kinda living there. Would not willingly stay here alone again; would NEVER take my wife or daughter here. Avoid this hotel or negotiate a lower price.

While the property has obviously been updated recently we were not happy with our stay. The clerk at check in didn’t know if coffee was available in the morning and we were charged a $50 damage deposit that was not mentioned until check in. In the morning we were surprised to find no hot water in the shower!!! NONE!! And there was no one in the office to talk to even when we checked out a little after 8:00 AM. We will not be back. Very poor customer service!

While the property has obviously been updated recently we were not happy with our stay. The clerk at check in didn’t know if coffee was available in the morning and we were charged a $50 damage deposit that was not mentioned until check in. In the morning we were surprised to find no hot water in the shower!!! NONE!! And there was no one in the office to talk to even when we checked out a little after 8:00 AM. We will not be back. Very poor customer service!

The nonsmoking rooms smelled strongly of smoke and there were burn marks everywhere. All of the linens were stained. The toilet easily clogged and flooded the bathroom. The room was smelly, dirty, and not updated.

Very small motel. We only spent a night there. Room had a funky smell, bathroom had mold, as well as the curtain in there. No ventilation in the bathroom. I supposed you get what you paid for. I don’t think I would stay there again.

The room was the worst I have ever stayed in. It smelled musty, rugs stained, the bathroom was gross. Mold and outdated tub that was peeling. There was no hot water at all in the morning. Too cold to take a shower. The wall paper was peeling back on the walls. I will never stay there again!

The floor in our room was filthy. We became aware of this when my granddaughter laid on her bed after walking around the room a bit without shoes and her socks were black on the bottom. Might need a wet mop on that cheap linoleum floor every now and then.

Good chance would stay again but wouldn't be my first choice

This motel and it's staff is quite possibly the worst place I've ever booked on hotels.com They advertised the rooms had phones. They did not. We had to put our family member there in an emergency situation (he doesn't have a cell phone) because his home was no longer safe for him. the room dingy, no working phone, and when asked to move to another room was told none of the phones worked anymore. The person my brother-in-law spoke to said he couldn't do anything because there was no manager on duty. I called and spoke with a ditzy woman who said the same. I tried calling the next day (a Monday) and got no answer. Hotels.com tried to reach them and got no answer. I'm out $360.24 now because he didn't stay; he couldn't stay. This is more like a No Tell-Motel than anything. Rude staff, unhelpful, and I want my money back as they misrepresented themselves on the website. I pay for services offered, not what they say they do, but don't offer. We had no choice but to house him there for the night, but he didn't feel safe, at all. He is elderly, and was in a terribly vunerable position that weekend. Shame on this Motel and its staff. DO NOT STAY AT THIS CRAP MOTEL. Pitch a tent before you stay here. hotels.com should remove them from the site. They do not belong on this website.

We were so excited to watch our grandson play at Cooperstown All-Star Park so we booked a room in the closest motel to the park. When we opened the door to the room, I needed to turn on the and leave the door open because of the smell. I looked around and realized this was a very poorly maintained room. This proved to be very true when on the second night there, the toilet clogged up and completely stopped working. We tried calling and knocking on the office door that night, but no answer. In the morning, we had to go down the street to use the facilities at a business. Again, we tried calling the office and knocking on the door. While we were at the All-Star Park, I tried calling again. Finally, an answer! I was told the office doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. So, if you have anything go wrong in your room, make sure it happens between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. I asked the motel representative how they were going to make this up to us and she just blew me off.It's a good thing every other part of our visit to the Cooperstown All-Star Village was so fabulous! The motel fiasco didn't dampen our fun because we're just that kind of people!

Very simple, clean, and inexpensive. Staff made special accommodations for us to have a very late check-in. Worked great for a single night stay before we checked into Cooperstown for week of baseball.

For my purposes this hotel was perfect. It’s not fancy by any means, but I was traveling alone after dropping my son to stay in the dorms at cooperstown baseball world. This was the most economical choice, and the location is very close to Suny Oneonta where the games were played as well as restaurants and main street. It’s about 5 minutes drive to the fields, dorms, restaurants, yoga studio and gym which are the places I was targeting. The staff was very nice. The rooms were outdated except some updates to the bathroom , but they were cleaned and restocked daily and comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway, but definitely recommend it if you are traveling under similar circumstances and just need a clean central location in Oneonta.

The room was clean and quiet! I stayed for 6 days and didn’t have any issues! Not the most updated but still very close to All Star Village and not expensive!

This place was awesome, super clean, friendly staff best price around per night and only 4 min away from Cooperstown ASV. May not look the best on the outside but a great place to stay overall. Highly recommended.

Is not a 5 start motel, but it served it purpose well. The front desk staff were very nice. It was very close to main oneinta main street were mist of the restaurant, and bars are located. Very close to oneonta Suny University as well as other shopping centers. It is safe, and clean although it can use some upgrades such as the bathtub, and floor rug.

Overall the stay was ok. The room was clean and looked to have been serviced prior to check in. Check in was relatively easy although the motel is a bit dated. The price was a little high for what it was. $79/night would be more realistic for what it is I think. My only issues were 1) there was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee or tea or creamers/sugar etc. to use. 2) the phone had wifi networks and passwords listed but these were not the networks available, I had to get that info from the front office, and 3) there was a line of mold on the far wall extending from the ceiling towards the floor, running along the seam in the wallpaper. This should be looked into as it could become a health concern if left unchecked. Other than that, the stay was fine for what it was: solo traveler in town 1 night for a conference at SUNY Oneonta.

This place is in the Twilight Zone. Maybe an old Howard Johnson’s? Attached to a defunct Chinese Buffet Restaurant/defunct martial arts studio. Weird all the way around. Room was “clean” but you can’t really clean a 60 year old room last rehabbed 40 years ago. Cracked tub, scratchy towels, TV only through Roku; like no access to live local TV. Price was “reasonable” because everything else is insanely over priced, but it’s actual rate should be about $50/night. Very sketchy people kinda living there. Would not willingly stay here alone again; would NEVER take my wife or daughter here. Avoid this hotel or negotiate a lower price.

The best thing about this property was the restaurant across the street! The woman at check-in was super friendly, attentive, knew about the area. She was excellent. Room and property need a complete update!!! Outrageous to pay almost $200 for such lack of quality. I imagine price was high due to graduations in area.

For my purposes this hotel was perfect. It’s not fancy by any means, but I was traveling alone after dropping my son to stay in the dorms at cooperstown baseball world. This was the most economical choice, and the location is very close to Suny Oneonta where the games were played as well as restaurants and main street. It’s about 5 minutes drive to the fields, dorms, restaurants, yoga studio and gym which are the places I was targeting. The staff was very nice. The rooms were outdated except some updates to the bathroom , but they were cleaned and restocked daily and comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway, but definitely recommend it if you are traveling under similar circumstances and just need a clean central location in Oneonta.

This was exactly what I expected from an older motel. It smelled like cigarettes and the carpets are old. The shower is old, the linens are old, but everything is clean. The service was ok, we didn’t need much and we only stayed one night. If you need a quiet and clean place to stay at a reasonable cost $106 (tax and service charge included) this is the place for you.

While the property has obviously been updated recently we were not happy with our stay. The clerk at check in didn’t know if coffee was available in the morning and we were charged a $50 damage deposit that was not mentioned until check in. In the morning we were surprised to find no hot water in the shower!!! NONE!! And there was no one in the office to talk to even when we checked out a little after 8:00 AM. We will not be back. Very poor customer service!

The room was as expected for the cost. Everything was outdated but was in working order. Parking was okay. The phone in the room didn't work to get ahold of room service but I guess that's because they're updating their system. Room service came to clean while we were out and took two of my personal towels and no offer was made to replace them, so that was a little disappointing. Also, the restaurant is closed on the premises.

I would not recommend staying at this property. We booked a seven-night stay from August 10–17 at approximately $130 per night, but the condition of the property and level of service were nowhere near what I would expect at that price. The facility is extremely poorly maintained and did not feel clean. We found bugs in the room, including spiders. The air conditioning did not work properly, and we were unable to get the television to work. The internet did work, but unfortunately that was one of the few positives. Housekeeping was also very inconsistent. Staff came into the room on August 11 and 12 to provide clean towels and remove trash, but after that we received no housekeeping service on August 13, 14, or 15. By that point, between the lack of service, cleanliness issues, and overall condition of the property, we decided to check out early rather than complete our stay through August 17. There was also a significant amount of activity in the parking lot throughout our stay, which contributed to an uncomfortable atmosphere. For approximately $130 per night, this property was an extremely poor value. Based on the condition of the room, lack of maintenance, cleanliness, and limited housekeeping, I would consider this closer to a $25-per-night motel experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to other travelers.
