Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a room for our stay, but they upgraded us to a cottage since we were spending the whole week. Very clean and well maintained. They have a private beach with plenty of seating. They even had campfire pits available for a fire on the beach. Only complaint, i widh someone would occasionally wipe of the chairs and swings along the private beach area. Lots of spider webs and bird poop. Had to be very selective when you sat down. Overall, we would definitely return.

Loved this stay! We booked a 1 bed bedroom, and they were able to get us an upgrade at check-in time to a 2 bed bedroom - the extra room was so nice to have. The location is very close to the main downtown area and was right on the beach with great chairs and fire pits. Would happily stay here again!

I can’t say enough good things about Martin and the property that he manages. He has done a lot of work to make the The Beach House special. It is indeed right in the beach. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and well designed. The AC and the heat both work well. There are lots of flowers and plants, an indoor pool, a basketball hoop. Martin arranged transportation for us to the ferry at no cost. We there is also free transportation to a local casino, plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. I recommend The Beach House.

The cabins on the beach have a nice view of the Mackinac Bridge, the cabin itself was spacious and had everything we needed. The fire pits were provided and the office had a selection of beach toys for children as well as roasting forks for hot dogs and marshmallows. Everything was clean and comfortable, we would definitely return!

Can't beat the view! My husband and I were in town for the Zoo-De-Mack biking event, and we stayed in a 'Beachside Classic Cabin.' It was awesome to have the beach and view of Mackinac Island and the bridge right out our doorstep. We relaxed in the chairs on the beach for quite some time, and the beach fire pits are a fun addition. The cabin itself if fairly rustic, but was clean and functional. We didn't end up using the pool or hot tub, but it's nice they have those options as well. The desk attendant was super helpful/friendly, and gave us lots of good tips/recommendations. A parking spot was included and it was also not to far to walk to the downtown on a nice day. We highly recommend the beachfront cabins!

Cute little cottages located on the beach. There are 5 or 6 of the older ones and 4 of the newer builds that are on the beach. They have around 20 that are within 100 feet from the beach. They have an indoor heated pool. Located 10 minutes from the main shopping area. Located 10 minutes from the Ferry to Macinac Island. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We were offered an upgrade when we got there. We stayed in an older cabin. The air conditioner worked well. It had 2 beds with a pull out couch, kitchen table, refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. There was a tv and dresser.

The manager was very friendly and genuinely cared about the quality of our stay. He takes great care of the property and was really friendly and helpful! The rooms were cozy but quite roomy, i was honestly shocked at how big they were on the inside. The beach is lovely and the pool was nice as well. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

Nice little cabin on the beach. It would benefit from a thorough cleaning. Not terrible, but could use some attention The staff was friendly. Beautiful sunrise on Lake Huron. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom sink only, no vanity to set things. Good drinking water. The property is not walkable to restaurants and shopping.

For over $400 a night that cabin definitely should’ve been way cleaner.. If this is a problem during off-season I could only imagine how dirty they are during the busy season. Otherwise the Family Cabin is very nice and the views are great.

First, we were given a free upgrade because the larger cabin one wasn't booked. A very cool thing for them to do. If I could of gave cleanness better than an excellent rating I would have and a clean room to me is the most important factor for lodging. As for the amenities a cabin is not a 3 star hotel so don't expect a large shower, BUT the mattress and towels rated 3 star. Would we stay again? Hell yeah, but I might spend a little more money for one of their beach front cabins (we could see the water from our porch but it wasn't on the water). A side note stay with your grill at ALL times as the winged thief's are FAST. I was gone for 30 seconds to get a pair of tongs and two hot dogs went flying off.

The cabins were immaculate and the location was perfect. We enjoyed a fire on the beach and the check in was efficient. The gentleman who helped us provided our ferry tickets at a discount and answered all of our questions. Plenty of linens and beds were comfortable. Will definitely return.

The cabin was NOT one of the ones shown in the picture. When we arrived, there was an old ice cream container and rotting pepper on the ground by the stairs to enter the cabin. There was a hair claw clip on the railing. Open food bag was under the bed with gnats flying around the living room. People from the hotel smoking outside blew right in to the window. We had to have the window open to try to get a breeze, as the AC took well over five hours to cool the cabin down. With the proximity of the other cabins, guests two cabins down were making comments as we went in and out of our cabin.

Nothing fancy but a nice little cabin and was clean. Bed was semi comfortable. Very nice access to beach onsite complete with fire pits. Would stay there again. Check in for day ends at 8:00 pm which seems a bit early.

The cabins date back to the 1930’s but have been well maintained and upgraded. Need a few more AC outlets. Clean, cozy. We had a Staits facing room and it was quite beautiful. Nice sandy beach, and what a view.

Cabins are very dated. Old carpet old furniture. Felt like chairs and tables were going to break. Bathroom door was paneling with a hook for a lock. We could have have paid almost half and stayed someplace better. Nice to have beach access but just about every hotel has beach access. Staff was nice and helpful. Rooms were clean but BERY dated. Falling apart.

Martin at the front desk was fantastic, helpful, funny, and knowledgeable. The furniture was showing its age,the shower was short for anyone 6ft or taller, the interior paneling was beautiful, and the beds were comfortable.

The front desk man was very nice and pleasant to deal with and he gave us an upgrade because apparently the cabin we rented was so small you could barely move! The outsides of the cabins could use some sprucing up maybe some pretty flowers or flower boxes. The bathroom door didn't really shut which could have been a problem if there were others with us. Also bath fan didn't really work and no countertops to set your bathroom things on. The chairs for the table were a bit rickety too. Over all we had a nice stay the bed was comfortable and the TV worked ( but could have been bigger).

The staff was absolutely amazing and even was able to upgrade us to a better room. We arrived early and were allowed to check in which was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately there is a ton of construction on the road to get to the hotel but that has nothing to do with the property and they were very accommodating despite it. Overall a great experience and an absolutely wonderful and unique place to stay in Mackinac city.

Martin is amazing! We felt very welcomed and had an incredible view. He offered to upgrade us to beach front for a very reasonable fee. It was close to town and he gave lots of recommendations. Would definitely come back!

The cabins were immaculate and the location was perfect. We enjoyed a fire on the beach and the check in was efficient. The gentleman who helped us provided our ferry tickets at a discount and answered all of our questions. Plenty of linens and beds were comfortable. Will definitely return.

The manager was very friendly and genuinely cared about the quality of our stay. He takes great care of the property and was really friendly and helpful! The rooms were cozy but quite roomy, i was honestly shocked at how big they were on the inside. The beach is lovely and the pool was nice as well. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

We’ve been going to Mackinaw City for years and this was definitely one of the best visits we’ve had because of The Beach House. The location was perfect; not right in the middle of the city, but close enough that you still felt like you were right there. The cabin itself was spacious enough for my family of five and very clean. We were steps from the beach, which was the perfect way to start and end our day. The flowers around the property were stunning. Martin, the property manager, was hands down the most pleasant and helpful person. When we needed something, Martin was extremely accommodating. He was also just a fun guy to talk to. This was a nice change from a hotel. We’ll definitely stay there again next time we visit Mackinaw.

I liked how cute the property was. Being in a cabin right on the water was wonderful. Beds were very uncomfortable and thin. Everything was clean so that was a bonus. The property manager was rude to us. We arrived prior to 4pm and asked if the cabin was ready and said if not, it was not a big deal, we would go explore and come back. He was rude and kept saying, "I cannot get anything done with these people bothering me all day". He did have a cabin ready for us and showed us where it was located. However, we were never provided the wifi password and we had to go back and ask, apparently there was a shuttle to the ferry we were not told about either. I saw people having a fire on the beach from the other cabins and I have no idea what that was about. Just some really poor communication on check in not making us feel welcome. The place was cute, but he made the excitement we had for the place disappear.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom sink only, no vanity to set things. Good drinking water. The property is not walkable to restaurants and shopping.

I can’t say enough good things about Martin and the property that he manages. He has done a lot of work to make the The Beach House special. It is indeed right in the beach. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and well designed. The AC and the heat both work well. There are lots of flowers and plants, an indoor pool, a basketball hoop. Martin arranged transportation for us to the ferry at no cost. We there is also free transportation to a local casino, plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. I recommend The Beach House.

I love this place! It’s on the water and the cabins are quaint. Nothing fancy but so quiet and serene. The flowers were blooming and smelled amazing. Close to downtown and lots of shops and restaurants. The staff are beyond helpful. It’s my third year in a row staying here and I will be back.

The cabin, that we stayed in, had a nice rustic look about it with light wood panelling. The cabins are located right at the beach. The door lock was a bit finicky but bed and shower were good.There was a coffee maker in the room but no breakfast. We would stay here again.

The host knew the area well and was very helpful. The location was perfect between a walking/rail trail and the view of the bridge, we stayed local for most of our trip. Breakfast in mackinaw city, a drive over the bridge & we used our complimentary casino cash. And then just settled in to our beach house resort. We are already planning on another fall visit next year ♡

Fun little, funky cabin right on the beach! Martin was great at helping us navigate the area and the ferry to Macinac Island. We enjoyed sitting by the beach at sunset and even hopped in the pool for a swim.

We loved this place. Having your own little cottage is so much cooler than being in a room inside a hotel building. Very cool having the beach right there and seeing the sunset. Martin was great and very accommodating.
