Everything was very good at the Overdale....we had one small issue which the staff address quickly and efficiently. We were very satisfied with our stay and the outcome and we would definitely stay at the Overdale again on a visit to Whitby.....Lovely old home with a terrific room that my daughter and I enjoyed. Ensuite bathroom, excellent shower and quiet surroundings. All good.

A nice property not to far but not to close to town centre.The only inconvenient was that had some old reviews when the propery use yo serve breakfast and it was advertised on some sites with breakfast also. We expected to have breakfast ; we contacted the owner who replied that is not included and will come to discuss but unfortunately never happened.

The room was very clean and well presented. The double bed was large and comfortable. We were very disappointed that Hotels.com advertised the property as including breakfast and that was part of the reason for booking. However the property only offers 'room only' and the proprietors are not on site. This was an error by Hotels.com but at circa £150 per night it isn't cake for money. There were 3 of us for 3 nights but we only had 2 bath towels & 2 hand towels. These were not replaced during our visit and there wasn't daily room service. The proprietors communication was good and prompt via email /message. Overall we enjoyed our stay but if you like a personal touch and value for money then I would suggest that there may be better options.
