the reception on arrival was very friendly , the room spacious with a nice view on castle and cathedral! we were -even as hotel guests denied a table at the restaurant although obviously the tables were not fully booked all night. We assume the staff simply was not incentivised to serve more clients!At ten pm one couldn’t even get a drink in the hotel , no bar and the restaurant already closed. breakfast was average quality regarding international standards. Check out again was very friendly and well organised!

to post communist style. "We make the rules here and you, customer, shut up and accept what we do". Arrival fine, nice gentlemen offered to park the car. Full stop. On departure we learned that you have to request the card 1/2 hour before you need it. Not a nice surprise, but we went to their Cosmopolis cafeteria (also partially communist style service - see separate review Cafe Cosmopolis) and returned 1/2 hour later. But! - nobody went to pick-up the car. Whilst we waited again, another customer came asking about his car. It was not ready either. He pointed out that he requested pick-up an hour ago - so even the prior advance request does not work - though there were two guys apparently dealing with car parking. (BTW the underground garage is about 2 mins away from the hotel - so if the park there......) In both cases the staff responses were "I don't care, it's ok, relax, take it easy and wait". I asked for reception manager - the lady that responded initially also did not react correctly, but in the end she refunded 1 day parking fee and apologised. And the hotel? Well, if you like very dark/dismal, very brown, days gone by, decor, you might find it impressive. I did not. I would not go back - regardless of the car parking "service" and partially snotty general "service"

I really loved staying here. It is over the square from the fruit and vegetable market and only a block from other food options. We also had the aroma thai massages and the therapist was great, adjusting to individual needs.

Brno ist eine sehr schöne Stadt mit wunderschönen Plätzen, auf denen wirklich jeden Tag irgendetwas stattfindet. Das Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum, parken kann man vor dem Haus oder in einer nahegelegenen Tiefgarage, das Hotel bietet einen Parkservice, so dass man sich selbst um nichts kümmern muß. Das Parken in tschechischen Großstädten ist grundsätzlich eher teuer, daher ist der Preis des Hotels für das Parken gerechtfertigt. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Ein tolles Hotel mit Charme, sehr aufmerksames Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück. Ein vergessener Pullover wurde umgehend auf Kosten des Hotels nach Deutschland nachgeschickt. Parkservice sehr unkompliziert.

Świetna lokalizacja hotelu, Bardzo podobała się nam architektura wnętrz hotelu: lobby, restauracja i pokoje. Hotelowe śniadanie klasyczne i podobne do innych czeskich hoteli w podobym standardzie. Wadą jest brak własnego parkingu, a przed hotelem jest tylko kilka miejsc postojowych.

Stunning accommodation. The service was excellent from the front desk to the cleaners. The location is perfect to explore BRNO. They have a well laid out gym. The only negative was that i wish i stayed there longer rather than heading to Vienna. Highly recommend.

Hotel looks grand but is dated. The shower is only good if you're 5ft or under. They offer a turn down service, which was not mentioned anywhere, so after 1st night I asked them not to do this again, however the next night they still came in the room. The sink also didn't drain very well at all. There was also a bottle cap on the floor when we arrived so the room wasn't hoovered very well and the tissues hadn't been refilled (only 2 in the box). Overall I would say its not worth the money, especially when Jacuzzi is an additional cost. The staff were pleasant and appeared helpful but as mentioned ignored my request.

Een mooi en schoon hotel met een aantrekkelijke ligging. heerlijke bedden waarin wij goed zijn uitgerust na een lange reis. Vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekende prijs voor wat ze bieden. Mooi ontbijtbuffet. Een aanbeveling waard.

Every staff I interacted with was top notch. The place has a nice vintage hotel vibe to it, yet the staff is young and cool. The room was well appointed, very clean and it has a minibar wich is cool. The hotel is on the main square, perfect to walk anywhere you want.

Das Hotel liegt absolut spitze. Das Zimmer war groß und klasse und sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr höflich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Das Hotelrestaurant war auch sehr gut. Leider mussten wir wegen eine Privatparty nur einmal dort essen.

Stylový pohodlný hotel v centru Brna. Velmi milý a ochotný personál. Oceňuji pána, co ma nastarosti parkování aut. Byl skvělý a snažil se nám maximálně vyjít vstříc. Pohodlné postele, výborná snídaně. Moc rádi se sem vracíme.

Staff at check in was great. We did request to have our room cleaned daily but they only showed up once even when we had the “clean out room” sign out. At check out they also charged me for alcohol from the mini bar that I never used. The rooms and hotel are dated. It’s a nice hotel. I wouldn’t consider it luxury though.

This is a safe, clean, well-maintained hotel with friendly staff. Additionally, the restaurant in the hotel is excellent. The fried goat cheese over multicolored beet roots appetizer is amazing.

I don’t know if I’ve had the perfect combination of convenience, proximity, professionalism, friendless, and an incredible room all in one stay. Grandezza ticks ALL the boxes. Cannot recommend enough-from the spacious room to the killer views to all the activities in and around d the hotel, it’s the perfect place for a day or two or three in Brno. 10/10 will stay again!

Nice, sophisticated hotel in the center. Very good location, but it’s hard to park, especially in December (roadblocks everywhere)!!! Breakfast is plentiful with delicious food. Clean rooms. Nice staff. The attic room is unfortunately very small.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel mitten in der Stadt, tolle Aussicht auf den Krautmarkt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5. Stock. Die Räume sind des Daches wegen abgeschrägt. Und die Fenster sind eher kleine Luken. Wir blieben für eine Nacht, das war Ok, für länger kein Zimmer im 5. Stock nehmen. Der Service im Restaurant ist vorbildlich und sehr persönlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltigen und sehr lecker.

Grandezza Hotel Luxury Palace Brno is a beautiful conservative old style hotel ideally situated on one of the main squares of the old city centre below the Dom and only a few minutes' walk from the main historical and cultural sites, including Spilberk Castle. The service is excellent and the standard of the rooms is superb. The shower is in a bathtub which i personally do not like, and the shower water pressure was very low, too low.

A marvel of a hotel right in the city centre, classy design, friendly staff, very clean rooms. Unfortunately the room was incredibly hot, even with the radiator turned off, which made it next to im possible to get any sleep. I told the clerk at the reception about it. Junior Suite 510, großes Eckzimmer im obersten Stock direkt unter dem Dach, Klimaanlage war deaktiviert (Entscheidung des Managers zum Kostensparen!!!), Lärm bis tief in die Nacht am Platz durch (betrunkene, laute) Nachtschwärmer, Bett sehr weich, keine Dusche - nur Badewanne mit hohem Einstieg und zusätzlicher Glaswand, gutes WLAN im gesamten Hotel, gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal, Lage hervorragend.

to post communist style. "We make the rules here and you, customer, shut up and accept what we do". Arrival fine, nice gentlemen offered to park the car. Full stop. On departure we learned that you have to request the card 1/2 hour before you need it. Not a nice surprise, but we went to their Cosmopolis cafeteria (also partially communist style service - see separate review Cafe Cosmopolis) and returned 1/2 hour later. But! - nobody went to pick-up the car. Whilst we waited again, another customer came asking about his car. It was not ready either. He pointed out that he requested pick-up an hour ago - so even the prior advance request does not work - though there were two guys apparently dealing with car parking. (BTW the underground garage is about 2 mins away from the hotel - so if the park there......) In both cases the staff responses were "I don't care, it's ok, relax, take it easy and wait". I asked for reception manager - the lady that responded initially also did not react correctly, but in the end she refunded 1 day parking fee and apologised. And the hotel? Well, if you like very dark/dismal, very brown, days gone by, decor, you might find it impressive. I did not. I would not go back - regardless of the car parking "service" and partially snotty general "service"

The stay was perfect as always. I have stayed in this hotel more than 20 times and I have always been satisfied. The staff is absolutely very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect location in the center, just a few minutes walk from the Brno train station. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped. Nothing to complain about. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. I recommend asking for a room with a view of the square (Zelný trh).

Staff at check in was great. We did request to have our room cleaned daily but they only showed up once even when we had the “clean out room” sign out. At check out they also charged me for alcohol from the mini bar that I never used. The rooms and hotel are dated. It’s a nice hotel. I wouldn’t consider it luxury though.

Ahmed is a true ambassador for the hotel and his personal care made the stay even more enjoyable. The front desk staff is also very professional and efficient. The hotels sits right at one of the major squares on the old town and very walkable distance to all Major churches and places of interest

Een mooi en schoon hotel met een aantrekkelijke ligging. heerlijke bedden waarin wij goed zijn uitgerust na een lange reis. Vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekende prijs voor wat ze bieden. Mooi ontbijtbuffet. Een aanbeveling waard.

The hotel is perfectly located on Market Square, a short walk from the train station, and the other sites in the old town. The rooms are very nice, and offer some very nice views. The restaurant was very good, and offered a delicious breakfast. The staff was very welcoming and professional.

the reception on arrival was very friendly , the room spacious with a nice view on castle and cathedral! we were -even as hotel guests denied a table at the restaurant although obviously the tables were not fully booked all night. We assume the staff simply was not incentivised to serve more clients!At ten pm one couldn’t even get a drink in the hotel , no bar and the restaurant already closed. breakfast was average quality regarding international standards. Check out again was very friendly and well organised!

Loved this hotel. Our room ( junior suite) looked out on the town square. Lovely! The staff was also wonderful, friendly, welcoming and so helpful with any questions we had. I'd stay here again. Also enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel.

Ótima estadia. Café da manhã excelente. Manobristas para o carro. Quarto agradável com bom conforto. O que melhorar? Sem dúvida é necessário colocar um chuveiro de teto ou uma haste mais alta, pois tomar banho de chuveirinho na mão não condiz com a qualidade do hotel. Fora isso tudo foi perfeito. Parabéns a equipe!

Excellent location, clean room. But that's all I can say positive about this hotel. We arrived in town late on a rainy night and contacted UBER for a ride. Oddly, three different drivers did not move our direction or went another direction. Finally, we found a taxi and were driven somewhere on the north side of the square where we were informed taxis were not allowed in the area and were left in the middle of a dark street in the wiring rain. We walked to the hotel, unprepared for rain and arrived soaked. I asked about the prohibited taxis and was inform only some vehicles were allowed. I questioned why they would not disclose this on their website and was treated with disdain. A second woman arrived and literally laughed at us standing there soaked. This was followed by an undisclosed charge to our prepaid room. We went to our room and wanted to order room service, but it was not available, so we went to the restaurant at 9:20 and was told the menu in the room was not up to date and that they stop serving at 9:00 despite the published closing at 10:00. So once again it was back in the rain to try and locate some food, and we were not offered an umbrella. The tub had no shower curtain and was very slick. Worse yet, the side of the tub is nearly 30" high and the tub base is elevated about 12". If you're not agile, this is a disaster waiting to happen. Trying to wash with one hand and hold the spray with another is difficult and makes a mess. Stay here at your own peril.
