Villa Del Bosco

'Villa del Bosco' is a bed & breakfast on the west side of Sicily. 'Villa del Bosco' means 'wood cottage'. The family atmosphere is warm and we welcome guests from all over the world. We produce and sell olive, honey and propoli. The cousine is simple and the food is always fresh and served straight from the oven! Guests can use the tesnnis court of the farm. Some rooms are air conditioned. None of our rooms have ensuite facilities, so we recommend our resort to families (children are welcomed) or groups of 2 up to 5 people. We have a large living room with library and hi-fi. There is a tennis court and a relaxing green area surrounding the villa. There are two thermal stations with hot spring water pools just 5 km far from the farm. Villa del bosco is located in the middle of western Sicily in an abbondend area dominated by the Angimbè wood: the farm is inside the wood. The farm covers about 15 hectares and is 3 km from the small town of Calatafimi-Segesta and 3 km east of the ancient town of Segesta. We have a beautifull Tennis Court. You can see the ancient town and the theatre from the windows of our cottage. At the border of the farm there is the old wood of Angimbe' whose origin is probably Arabian. This wood (212 hectares) is unspoiled and ideal for walking or cycling. The farm is suitable for sporting activities including archery. There is a Tennis Court on the top of the hil with a beautifull landscape. Spring and autumn are the best seasons, the weather conditions are perfect, the land is green and you can pick mushrooms and eatable wild vegetables or beautiful flowers. In July you can enjoy the rehearsals at the old theatre of Segesta. The farm is an ideal place if you would like to visit the west side of Sicily. We also recommend our farm to learned people and writers who love to use the calmness and inspiration of the place to create something interesting. There is also a small library mainly full of Italian books. Meals are served all together and are the same for all guests. I speak English and a little French and have good knowledge of the Sicilian territory. I also drive small groups in my Land Rover to discover unusual archaeological places on the mountains around Segesta. You can reach the gulf of Castellammare in 20 minutes by car and the beautiful beaches of Scopello or Zingaro are 15 km away.
