This is a gorgeous historic place, over 200 years old, fixed up meticulously. The room had a magnificent fireplace, and tasteful antiques transporting you back in time. Our overall experience was excellent lovely quant and characterful property. The stocked fridge teas coffees soft drinks and even wine was a lovely touch! Would definitely stay again. Only one small glitch we had a faulty aerial / poor signal so could not really watch tv while we were there. Otherwise would have given 5 stars all around! Good location for the historic downtown too with plenty of restaurant and breakfast choices!

This may have been the best inn we have ever stayed in. The owner thought of everything in designing and furnishing the place- bright lights in the bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, easy checking even though it is not staffed. We highly recommend this place

Very nicely decorated. At this stage we have seen nobody. Just a message in an envelope on the door. Appreciate the free drinks including champagne. Beds comfortable. Be aware of the bath/ shower combo. Would be difficult for disabled

Everything was just SO Top-Shelf! The bed was awesome the setting was very special as we really gravitate towards the Victorian style homes, and this place has the greatest vibe. Only negative, was the bathtub. The paint was chipping off and there was no way for my better half to take the bath she was anticipating. Overtall, The Thomas Rise Inn was 9.5 out of 10. LOVED IT!

The room and building were beautiful! Our only issue was that the thermostat was on 76. I would definitely go back and hope for a fixed AC next time!

The Thomas rose inn was a great place for me and my husband to stay for our anniversary! They text you shortly before check in and go over all the details of checking in! This home is beautiful and they have thought of everything to make your stay better. You’ll find drinks in the fridge, an ice maker, coffee machine, and even wine to enjoy your stay. This is all located in the common area of the home. This house is in the perfect location and everything is easily walkable!

The Thomas rose inn was a great place for me and my husband to stay for our anniversary! They text you shortly before check in and go over all the details of checking in! If you’re a needlecraft fan be sure to check out the large animal themed needlepoint above of the staircases-gorgeous!!! I thought it was a quilt but upon closer inspection, even better-needlepoint! Historic house, lovely town, great restoration!!! you can walk to everything with the exception of some of the areas top recreational opportunities like the Greenbrier River Trail, The only issue is noise from surrounding traffic and keep in mind this house is 220 years old - it creaks!
