The Crown City Inn is an older, but nicely updated hotel that matches the Coronado vibe very well. Great courtyard in the middle provides a haven from the busy traffic on Orange Avenue in front. Only challenge is insufficient parking, but we did get the last open spot and did not move the car once there. Not a problem because we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go because location is very good on Orange Avenue. Hi-light of the stay was the Crown Bistro restaurant attached to the hotel. Dinner was exceptional. Breakfast was excellent. Don't miss getting dinner by going other places when such a good restaurant is right there on property.

The place is great and walking distance to everything. Room was clean and customer service was excellent. I saw negative reviews about parking...the parking in front is a little tight, but the lot in the alley always had spots and was easy to get in and out. If you need your window open, it is a little noisy in the morning because it's such an enclosed space.

Loved our stay at Crown City Inn. Lovely room, we opted for room with jacuzzi tub (big tub). Room had super high ceiling. Bright, clean and fresh. We really appreciated the all day tea, water and coffee. The daily cookies were delicious and very thoughtful. A wonderful perk also was the loan out of bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards. Would definitely stay here again. Grocery store nearby and walk to restaurants.

Excellent Inn with great service. The only reason for taking off one star is there wasn’t any parking available and we had to park on the main street further up. Both the lots at the facility and behind were both full, which was inconvenient as parking is the first requirement we have when booking. Other than that, we would return and highly recommend.

Great property, beach cruisers and chairs are available with no fee. It was a quick ride(or 20 minute walk) to the beach and walkable to the ferry too. Highly recommend. We will be back!

This is a fabulous, comfortable, quaint spot on the island right on Orange Street. We will absolutely be back! It is pet friendly and even our dog loved it. You must eat at Crown Bistro for breakfast and for dinner. Amazing. Truly.

LOVED this stay, hidden gem & we loved Linda at the front desk. So knowledgeable & excited about our stay with us. Gave us many AMAZING recommendations! Would 1000% come back just to see her! Free coffee/tea/ bikes to borrow/boogie boards/ heated pool/etc! Loved Coronado and we were so sad to leave!

Front desk staff was very nice. Room was big, clean and bright. Motel provides free bike usage, beach chairs and boogie boards. It is located halfway between the Hotel Del and the Ferry landing which puts everything in Coronado within walking distance. The attached bistro looked lovely but we didn’t get a chance to eat there. The Crown City Inn is an excellent spot in Coronado especially if you are on a budget.

My room wasn’t cleaned every day as I requested, the restaurant only opens for dinner Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, which makes an inconvenience… The lady receptionist wasn’t helpful nor cordial with guest. Otherwise, it was quite and comfortable and well located!!!

Very nice staff, beautiful grounds & excellent location. Room was very clean & our dog received a wonderful treat bag. Unfortunately the bathroom sink had multiple cracks, tv had a red line running vertically thru it and air conditioner was very loud & turned on/off every few minutes which made it hard to sleep. Because of poor room maintenance we wouldn’t stay there again.

It's a great location and very good property. You're on the main drag on Coronado - about 1/2 mile from the Del and 1/2 mile from the frontage that overlooks the San Diego skyline. The rooms are somewhat small, but not overly. Everything works well. Staff is good. Cookies in the afternoon! Free bikes to use! Loved biking the island. VERY walkable area. Off the main drag and you're into all residential areas. Quiet, nice. Enjoy.

We had a great stay at the Crown City Inn. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but based on the excellent reviews, I was optimistic. Our room was on the first floor, and I was concerned about noise from the second floor, but there was none. The room was clean and updated, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There was plenty of room for two of us and our luggage. It was convenient to have a refrigerator and microwave. The reception area was welcoming with fresh iced tea, cookies, and filtered water. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly. The pool area was comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting out there in the late afternoon. Loved that there were bikes for us to use, and we rode them out to the beach one day to explore and watch the sunset. Parking was usually full in the main area, but we had no problem parking in the designated spots in the alley immediately behind the property. It was also an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Everything felt very safe, and we would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel in Coronado. Property is very quiet and very well kept. They have a restaurant attached as well. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach. Also walking distance to the bay side of the island. They have a pool but we did not use it. Rooms were fantastic. Well sized with amazing bathrooms. Strong AC as well. Filtered water, as well as coffee, tea, and iced tea in the lobby. No doubt we will be staying here again.

I was woken up at midnight by a constant buzzing sound that persisted until 6 am. The noise stopped briefly for about an hour before starting again. After some investigation, I discovered that it was the refrigerator causing the disturbance. Be aware of this issue before booking your stay.

Typical average motel facility with about 25 rooms. If not on coronado island will be an $79/night stay. We were on a ground floor unit and there was a constant noise on the ceiling from the unit above. There is engineered wood floors and fairly thin walls therefore you can hear every step above you. If you stay here stay on top floor. The location is great.

Perfect for what I needed. Lovely staff. Suggest asking to move if you are allocated room 218. It's above the restaurant and the generator, a/c and refrigerator combined, made you feel like you were at the airport about to take off, but once I was moved, everything was much better.

We enjoyed our stay at The Crown City Inn. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived from an early flight. The room was clean and comfortable and the on site restaurant was delicious. Would definitely stay again!

It was very clean and very beautiful place, the housekeepers were excellent. The information people were not much friendly. The other lady who first welcomed us was not the first day but after few days she was watching us get coffee/ sugar etc… it’s like she does not want us to get . We were just quiet she that’s just my comment don’t offer coffee or water etc.. if you are not happy to give. Thank you over all it’s goid

Beautiful and charming inn. Enjoyed the delicious complimentary coffee and cookies for snacks. Friendly customer service at the front desk. Marcia, (love her laugh and smiles), and Keith and Linda are also wonderful! Enjoyed the breakfast at the Crown Bistro Restaurant next door. Very good service by the waitress ( sorry, i forgot her name). Everyone is welcoming and helpful! Keith was able to check us in early because our flight to SD was early, we appreciate that very much! We enjoyed using the bikes everyday provided by the hotel for free to use around the beautiful town. The bikes worked well but needed new paint and some chains are rusty. Rooms are nice, clean and cute. Just needing small side tables next to the beds. Beds very comfy but the size is only double beds, wish there were two queen size beds, but overall, comfy and manageable. Nice a/c and hard wood floors. Very clean and the housekeepers are always friendly and always smiling.

We had a great stay at the Crown City Inn. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but based on the excellent reviews, I was optimistic. Our room was on the first floor, and I was concerned about noise from the second floor, but there was none. The room was clean and updated, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There was plenty of room for two of us and our luggage. It was convenient to have a refrigerator and microwave. The reception area was welcoming with fresh iced tea, cookies, and filtered water. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly. The pool area was comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting out there in the late afternoon. Loved that there were bikes for us to use, and we rode them out to the beach one day to explore and watch the sunset. Parking was usually full in the main area, but we had no problem parking in the designated spots in the alley immediately behind the property. It was also an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Everything felt very safe, and we would definitely return.

The attentiveness to customer service was outstanding. We needed to extend our stay by one day last minute and they were able to juggle accommodations so that we didn't need to switch rooms. This property offers comfortable beds, microwave, a small refrigerator, laundry facilities along with dining next door. Many return customers which says everything!! Highly recommend!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They put a beautiful touch with a card, balloons, and flowers for my husband's 50th birthday. The room was clean and bed and pillows were comfortable. The bistro on the property was wonderful for breakfast and the town center is walkable from here. It was perfect for our little getaway and would stay here again. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

LOVED this stay, hidden gem & we loved Linda at the front desk. So knowledgeable & excited about our stay with us. Gave us many AMAZING recommendations! Would 1000% come back just to see her! Amazing! Found this property last minute on a spur of the moment trip. Check-in was awesome. Friendly and fast, and they were able to get us into our room a bit early. Location is amazing. Right in the middle of everything. We brought our bikes so getting around was super easy, but they also have a bunch of beach cruisers that are free for guests to use. Everything is clean and well maintained. Room was decent sized and very bright. The pool area is a nice little oasis and was never crowded. Parking would be a struggle in a larger vehicle, and if you're lucky enough to snag one of the 6 courtyard spots, it's very convenient. Quick walk to the Bayside Market and liquor store. Quick ride to the beach. Grabbed the ferry to San Diego one morning and had a great time. One of the best places we've stayed. Fantastic boutique hotel. Don't hesitate!

Nice little hotel in the Coronado area for an affordable price. Within walking distance of Coronado Beach and commercial area and the ferry landing to San Diego downtown and Gaslamp quarter. Good dining options both in the hotel and nearby. Overall practical and enjoyable.

Fantastic hotel in Coronado. Property is very quiet and very well kept. They have a restaurant attached as well. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and the beach. Also walking distance to the bay side of the island. They have a pool but we did not use it. Rooms were fantastic. Well sized with amazing bathrooms. Strong AC as well. Filtered water, as well as coffee, tea, and iced tea in the lobby. No doubt we will be staying here again.

The staff was super friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Our room was on the bottom floor, next to the stairs, so that was not my favorite. We did enjoy walking everywhere on the island. Perfect location between the bay and the ocean!

Front desk staff was very nice. Room was big, clean and bright. Motel provides free bike usage, beach chairs and boogie boards. It is located halfway between the Hotel Del and the Ferry landing which puts everything in Coronado within walking distance. The attached bistro looked lovely but we didn’t get a chance to eat there. The Crown City Inn is an excellent spot in Coronado especially if you are on a budget.

The Crown City Inn is an older, but nicely updated hotel that matches the Coronado vibe very well. Great courtyard in the middle provides a haven from the busy traffic on Orange Avenue in front. Only challenge is insufficient parking, but we did get the last open spot and did not move the car once there. Not a problem because we could easily walk everywhere we wanted to go because location is very good on Orange Avenue. Hi-light of the stay was the Crown Bistro restaurant attached to the hotel. Dinner was exceptional. Breakfast was excellent. Don't miss getting dinner by going other places when such a good restaurant is right there on property.

This was such a lovely location. We came here for our anniversary. There was a free Coronado shuttle that we took to and from the beach as well as to restaurants. The breakfast bistro next door was delicious.

The property was very quaint, clean and easily accessible. You cannot beat the price in Coronado! The small dining cafe/bistro on premises was superb, whether it be a nice relaxing cold brew in the morning or a very nice dinner alfresco. Delicious meals! I highly recommend The Crown Inn!

Lovely small hotel in the middle of the island, so an easy walk to either side. The pool was recently updated, and we enjoyed it more than once. We were there on record breaking heat days, and the A/C kept the room cool. It is our go to on Coronado

I really loved my stay at Crown City Inn! It’s such a cozy, relaxing place, and the location is hard to beat. My room was clean and comfortable, and pretty much everything I wanted to do was within a 10–20 minute walk. I really appreciated how kind Colton was and all the suggestions he gave me for things to do. The bikes were such a fun bonus for getting around town, and having beach chairs and supplies available made going to the beach so easy. Coronado is such a charming, laid-back town, and I honestly enjoyed every part of my stay. I’d definitely come back! ❤️

We came to San Diego for a medical meeting and stayed at the Crown the first night and then the conference hotel, the Marriott marquis marina. I loved the Crown so much more. Biking Coronado on their complementary bikes was a blast. The bistro was yummy.
