Our room was clean and had daily service. Parking was inadequate. Two nights there were no spaces available. On our second day, the lone elevator was out of service.

We were greeted by friendly staff each time we went to the front desk. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. There is a free coffee bar 24 hrs a day. (Tea is also available). There is a microwave in the lobby as well. There is no continental breakfast, but the restaurant next door opens at 7:30 am. Food there is very good. There are no laundry facilities on site. Would were stay there again, yes.

We stayed two nights and every time we went to park, there were literally no spots for us. We had to park at a restaurant quite a distance from our room. EVERY TIME! That in itself is ridiculous. We had a barking dog right next to our room and the owners would leave dog in room and they would leave. Vacuuming started early and in the rooms above and walls so thin, we heard snoring and talking as well as the dog. No microwaves in rooms and ONE for hundreds of people to use in the office. They put the coffee and such right by front door so difficult to come and go without a line in the way. We also were told we had a view with harbor side room. Nope- we had a lawn and trees with no view. And, the second morning, a maintenance man was right outside our window doing clean up. So, horrible parking, loud cleaning and lacking of amenities does not allow us to recommend this location unless desperate.

The property is older, but very well maintained. Rooms are motor court entry, and there is an elevator. No breakfast, but coffee available in the am. There is a gift shop with breakfast bars available for purchase. The rooms are clean, well appointed and have a lovely view of the harbor and pool. The rooms also have a patio. There is an excellent seafood restaurant next door (I think owned by same people); we ate there twice and enjoyed it. Convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor. It’s not luxurious, but an excellent value. We would definitely stay again. 5 stars if a complimentary continental breakfast offered.

Very well run hotel. Great views from every room. Short walk into the town of North west harbor. Loved the pool which is open from dawn to dusk making it convenient for swimming laps for exercise any time that works with your schedule.

The whole staff was friendly and super helpful. The gift shop at the check-in area has lots of cute little souvenirs, as well as all those essentials we all forget to pack (toothpaste, deodorant, phone chargers, etc). The view over the marina with the tree covered hills rising in the distance - wow. I started each day with a cup of (complementary) coffee, sitting on the balcony, gazing at that scene. The restaurant on the property is really quite good. The servers and hosts are all smiles. I was well taken care of. Highly recommend!

The hotel was perfect for our overnight stay while we were visiting Acadia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised by the updated feeling and cleanliness of the room. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was also so nice, and excellent food! It was a great little bay area to walk around during the day or after dinner. We would definitely return if we come back to the area again!

Northeast Bar Harbor is a great alternative to Bar Harbor for exploring Acadia NP and surrounding areas. And, Kimball Terrace Inn is by far the best lodging in the area. I was impressed by the effort the staff puts in every morning to clean the lobby, common areas, and rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The place has just been renovated and looks great, but there was no ventilation afterward, leaving the air filled with a strong, pungent odor. There’s absolutely no sound insulation — we could hear everything the neighbors were doing, even their whispers. It feels like they’ve prioritized profit over guest comfort. Overall, a very poor experience. We won’t be returning.

This place is super clean and I loved that it’s been recently updated. The carpet and furniture is new. The grounds are immaculate and the staff is great. The restaurant is also amazing! There aren’t a lot of options to eat in the area but the onsite restaurant is really good! My only complaint is that even though everything is new the beds are hard and so uncomfortable and the TVs in the room are very small.

Walls are super thin so if you have loud neighbors like we did, you’ll hear everything they say, and their tv, going into the night and waking you in the morning. Beds were very firm, so felt hard to us.

Loved our stay here! We were here for 4 days while exploring Acadia National Park. We had a room with a harbor view and it was definitely worth the extra money. It was so nice to sit on the little deck and watch the boats on the harbor. Room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Bar Harbor and Acadia are both maybe a 15 minute drive. Nice outdoor pool and beautiful grounds outside the hotel. The only small negative was the bathroom towels are tiny. If we are ever in Maine again, we will definitely stay here!

This property has been recently updated new carpet, bathroom updates, everything smelled clean, looked clean, bedding was comfortable. The only complaint was thin walls. We could hear the people on both sides talking and I’m sure they could hear us. We use a fan app at night so no problem sleeping.

The room was nice, it was spacious and had a sliding glass door to a patio overlooking the marina. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the bed. The mattress was not comfortable at all.

Recently renovated, great walking access to NE Harbor downtown and right on Marina. Clean, spacious rooms, great staff, quiet, and comfortable. We stayed in a first floor room with parking right in front so easy access for loading in and out. 24/7 coffee in lobby, restaurant on property good, and common area off check in area with views, games, etc. Excellent stay!

Close by marina Sadly the staff did not manage to collect and forward a item that was sent to them for my attention. Instead they refused the item and now I have a hassle to get it re shipped. In spite of phone messages and phone cals to make this happen this was a stumble, so not good.

I would recommend that if you want a quiet room to make sure you are on the top floor as the ceilings are very thin. Lots of children running around on the 3rd floor. We were on the 2nd floor. Noisy near the elevator. Manager was very helpful and staff was excellent. Strong suggestion—-Do not go through Expedia as they charge extra and do not take AAA. Call Kimball Terrace Inn directly as they will take AAA. Great food next door. Everything else was excellent.

I would recommend that if you want a quiet room to make sure you are on the top floor as the ceilings are very thin. Lots of children running around on the 3rd floor. We were on the 2nd floor. Noisy near the elevator. Manager was very helpful and staff was excellent. Strong suggestion—-Do not go through Expedia as they charge extra and do not take AAA. Call Kimball Terrace Inn directly as they will take AAA. Great food next door. Everything else was excellent.

That said, the hotel itself was pretty basic — no standout features or amenities that made it memorable. After arriving I was barely greeted by the front staff. Room was noisy, however after calling the front desk at 12:30 AM someone came to quiet people down outside my room. Walls are paper thin and it was very tough to sleep. When leaving I was not asked how my stay was. It was nice for location was but overpriced and noisy. I’ll definitely stay somewhere else next time.

Book elsewhere!\xa0\xa0\xa0Photos were deceiving and a/c wouldn’t start while traveling in HUMID July. When I asked for a new room, which was available, I was told by a supervisor that they couldn’t do anything for me and that “I should just open a window for a breeze” and hung up! I asked to be moved to another room and management said we had already been in this room and would NOT move us.

Our room was very clean. The front staff, Shawn and Antimony, were wonderful and very helpful to us. We checked in early and they were fine with us being a few minutes late to check out. Awesome place!

I’m most pleased with the staff at Kimball Terrace Inn. Debbie and Rhonda were amazing and so caring when I was unfortunately sick with food poisoning from a lobster pound not on the island. Debbie brought me pepto bismol and a soda after seeing that I was so ill. She was genuinely concerned about my well being. The location of Kimball Terrace Inn shouldn’t discourage anyone from staying with them since the Northeast Harbor is lovely and only minutes from Acadia National Park and 25 minutes from Bar Harbor which was a little too busy IMO. I highly recommend Kimball Terrace Inn and will stay there again when I return.

Love this hotel! It is away from the crowded Bar Harbor area and has a great view of the harbor from the room. There is a nice restaurant attached and the little Main Street of town is only a 5 minute walk.

A nice quiet place to stay in Northeast Harbor while visiting Acadia without all the crowds and crush of Bar Harbor. The Acadia bus, the Island Explorer, picks up very close by. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable (excellent mattress) with a balcony overlooking the marina and green spaces. Decent restaurant, The Nor'Easter, right next door. Walkable to town. Don't miss getting your breakfast biscuit at Milk and Honey in town!

Enjoyed the area and our stay very much. Away from hustle and bustle but close enough to Bar Harbor. Watched the sun come up over the marina/harbor behind the Inn. Beautiful!

The hotel was perfect for our overnight stay while we were visiting Acadia National Park. We were pleasantly surprised by the updated feeling and cleanliness of the room. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was also so nice, and excellent food! It was a great little bay area to walk around during the day or after dinner. We would definitely return if we come back to the area again!

Kimball Terrace is a 20-minute drive from the Bar Harbor waterfront, through Acacia National Park. It has its own little waterfront, a gift shop, and a surprisingly good restaurant and bar. It is an old motor inn, but is clean and well-maintained. Rooms are basic. Our only complaint is that our room had double beds, instead of queen, and that the old inner-spring mattresses were really uncomfortable.

The room was immaculate, and nicely though not lavishly appointed. We had a desk with a chair, a table with two cushioned chairs, and a fridge. The heater/air conditioning unit worked well, we could open the window fully, and we had a refrigerator. To reheat anything, we had to use the microwave in the lobby, but that was fine, and I'm sure it helps keep the rooms cleaner. There's a restaurant next door that was great for breakfast, with lovely staff and very good food. We found the dinner prices at the restaurant to be expensive for what you got, but it was an easy walk into town or a short drive for other choices.

Good overall. Very convenient to Acadia National Park. Rooms were clean and service members were kind and professional. The restaurant next door is a great perk. There’s was an unexpected, live band on a Saturday night which was a great addition. Food and service was great as well. They should have more breakfast options as we would have dined there all the time if they had.

Staff were helpful and setting was very nice. Hotel itself and rooms were quite old and could use updating. For example there were water spots on the ceiling tiles in the bathroom and the tub had a large gouge. Also walls are very thin. Could hear people talking in the next room and bathroom sounds from the next room.

The room, bathroom, and balcony were spotless. The bed was very comfortable. They had a bathtub mat, too, which I usually ask for but hadn't. On Thursday the town Farmers Market was right in front. Very convenient to all the towns on Mt Desert Island, but on the quiet side. Front desk folks were very helpful. There's a good gift shop with merch and snacks. The restaurant next door was clean, had good food, and easy to walk to across the driveway, The Nor'Easter. The fridge in the room is pretty big. Not so great: No microwave or coffee pot in your room. Both are in the lobby, which is staffed 24/7.
