It felt like home. You walk up the staircase to a beautiful open landing that was warm and welcoming. There was a front balcony and a very large back deck. The rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable. I loved the claw foot tub in the bath room....felt like home. There was a shower as well for those of you that don't get excited over claw foot tubs. We were treated to a home cooked breakfast and there were soft drinks and snacks you were welcome to in the kitchen. I wish we had not had somewhere to be so we might have made use of the sitting area off the kitchen which not only had a big TV but comfy seating and for cooler weather a gas fireplace. Loved it all! Looking for a reason to go back there when we have time to stay longer!!! Jeri and Sandy

Stayed with my wife for Anniversary get-away and it was perfect. We love staying in historical inns and this was perfect for us. The breakfast cooked to order in the kitchen in the morning, the stocked refrigerator and tea and coffee makers was a great personal touch. Keep up the good work, we’ll be back!

The parking was super easy in front of the building. The staff was super accommodating and very helpful. The room was very nice quaint and clean, and there are plenty of shops nearby and a brewery right behind that you can walk down the sky deck and enter and walk back up to sky deck to your room.

The BnB was a nice place to stay. When we arrived the bathroom sink was not clean and bath mat was on the toilet lid. Neither was a big deal however not expected. Breakfast was good. The only concern I would have is this place is not for the elderly. The flight of stairs could be a deterrent

This place is a true hidden gem. The room was clean and well decorated, attention to detail is seen in the rooms. Don’t skip breakfast it was good and the attention to detail was there as well with table sat and food served on china. I will be back!

Beds were comfortable but the bathroom fixtures were rusty and the water is brown. The breakfast was passable but inn keeper kept running his fingers through his hair while preparing our food. Needs to work on food hygiene skills.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hamilton House Inn. The place was super clean and quiet, which made it relaxing from the start! Check-in was quick and easy, and the parking was very convenient. I stayed in the Alexis room, and it’s honestly the cutest room...cozy and thoughtfully decorated. I liked that snacks were available, which was a nice touch. I had to leave early for work, so I didn’t get to try the breakfast, but I wish I could have! Overall, it was a great experience, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

This was a very nice stay, local restaurants in walking distance. Hosts were very nice, breakfast was great as well. Only thing below average was our mattress was not comfortable. One side would sink making it tough to sleep. Other than that, the place was great.

I opted to stay at the Hamilton House Inn over night rather than a traditional hotel. It was so quiet, I couldn't hear any road noise. Most hotels are built near highways and almost always there is road noise. The Hamilton House in is in a quaint town and it a very walkable area. My room was well appointed and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Check out the awesome views from the second level decks if you stay here. The host is wonderful!

Hamilton House was exceptional! Our room, Ainsley, was very spacious and comfortable and the bed was King sized and slept exceptional! Shaun H. cooked our breakfast to our liking and sat and talked with us while we dined. We will defiantly be staying there again when in the area.

What a wonderful place to stay! Room was more than adequate for my wife and myself. Owner and family were very accommodating and kind!!! The beds were extremely comfy for my large frame lol. Great place will be coming back soon!!! Thank you Hamilton Inn!!!

The Hamilton House was beautiful. A friend had requested that a bottle of champagne be waiting for me in the room, but it was not. The man said we were too late for breakfast (9:30) on the morning that we left. He said he had finished cleaning the kitchen...not very friendly.

The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Anything I needed was in the room and there was no wait time to access once I arrived. Drinks were available in the fridge and the breakfast was great! I was asked upon arrival what I would like for breakfast and the owner went out of her way to accommodate my special diet. She was welcoming and friendly. I will definitely stay again if passing through that area.

Awesome place, terrific convenient location and the place to be if staying in West Monroe-Monroe! Tonya and her team have thought of everything at The Hamilton House. Great hospitality, roomy accommodations and a great breakfast service. We can't wait to return!

Clean & unique stay experience. Did not partake in the breakfast. When booking direct the two nights before I had been price gouged a bit and sent additional charges more than the quoted price. When I emailed back “didn’t know why” left a poor taste. Direct calls on the phone lacked professionalism.

I love the understated elegance of the property. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are always high-quality. The rooms are quiet and very homey. The location is very conveniently positioned near restaurants and shopping in the quaint Downtown Monroe area.

This is a great family-run B&B. It is right on the main street of West Monroe, Louisiana, which is a cute shopping street a couple blocks long. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Nice breakfast (omelet) cooked to order.

We were passing through and found this gem on Orbitz. Booking was simple. Then I called to alert the host that we’d be arriving late. Arrangements were made to accommodate us. The room was great. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again if ever we pass this way. The directions using the map app on our iPhone took us down a street that seemed pretty sketchy because we saw down the road a police car facing us in our lane with lights flashing several blocks away, and as we approached it pulled into a yard that had two other police cars in it with their lights flashing as well. This approach had us questioning our choice for a moment. But as we stayed the course and turned a couple more streets we were greeted by a beautiful little downtown type area with Christmas lights up spanning the street for several blocks. Confidence restored. If your directions take you to the Fifth Street exit, don’t jump to conclusions. Stay the course and enjoy your stay. You’ll be glad you did.

The parking was super easy in front of the building. The staff was super accommodating and very helpful. The room was very nice quaint and clean, and there are plenty of shops nearby and a brewery right behind that you can walk down the sky deck and enter and walk back up to sky deck to your room.

The location was in a run-down region of Monroe, with all stores on the street closed due to poverty and maintenance. There was no clerk on site, rooms "only" on the second floor, and no elevator. We immediately left the area to find a restaurant, which was miles away, and we did not return.

The Hamilton House was beautiful. A friend had requested that a bottle of champagne be waiting for me in the room, but it was not. The man said we were too late for breakfast (9:30) on the morning that we left. He said he had finished cleaning the kitchen...not very friendly.

A lovely place to stay. Very nice. However I would recommend that for the breakfast that is served, that the person preparing the food put on gloves and hair net. Found a hair in my fruit bowl. Also should be mindful that cross contamination can happen while handling cell phone calls and going back to meal prep without washing hands. May also suggest having a plant based sausages option.😊

Charming Inn! Very old building that has been remodeled retaining its original appeal. Loved my room decorated as the original theme and the bed was perfect Breakfast was a full delicious meal cooked by the owners. I will always use this hotel when visiting in the area. Candy King

Beds were comfortable but the bathroom fixtures were rusty and the water is brown. The breakfast was passable but inn keeper kept running his fingers through his hair while preparing our food. Needs to work on food hygiene skills.

This is the cutest hotel, wonderful environment. The patios are perfect to take in the Hallmark town views. Breakfast both days of our stay was amazing, creative and beautifully presented. Highly recommended, I will definitely stay again when I return to La.

Hamilton House is a great place to stay. It felt like you were stepping back in time. Tanya was great and the breakfast was fantastic. She even cooked Gluten-free for my wife. We will stay there again!

The room was clean and in excellent condition. Even while it was blistering hot outside, the entire inn was cool and comfortable. The bed was incredibly cozy and the room had a beautiful view of the historic downtown area. Breakfast was served exactly to order with hot coffee. The staff were friendly and ready to help with any questions. Over all it was a wonderful evening and morning, and I will definitely be back the next time I am in the area.

We were in town for a wedding and spent one night at the Hamilton house inn. Our room was, clean, comfortable and extremely quiet. Shawn cooked us French toast, sausage, and grits for breakfast. It was delicious. If we ever return to Monroe, we will stay again. 5 stars!
