Great parking at the room. Views were amazing. Great board walk to enjoy an evening walk staff friendly. Coffee was yummy high end finishes newly renovated

The hotel was very well renovated and great location. The staff was great. The biggest issue is it felt like we were tricked about the Sauna. It is not an included amenity as the website pretends. They do have small print somewhere saying it is a paid service through a third party company. Just to be clear it is not included, but you get 25% off. If I had know I would have stayed next door that had a pool, hottub and gym.

Excellent location with great view, games, firepits! Great staff - even went around the grounds telling of the Northern Lights.

We've been here a couple times before and were shocked to see all the renovations they've done. They now have a gorgeous lounge area with a small pool table, TV, and places to play board games which they also provide. There's complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in there too. The lounge area has a gorgeous view, fireplace, and access to a patio BBQ. Rooms are clean and staff is very friendly. My only complaint this time is the toilet paper of all things. First, the bathroom is very small and where the holder is installed my husband can't sit straight as his legs it it. Also, it's not regular toilet paper. It's individual little napkins, like kleenex, and it falls apart really easy so you have to use a ton of it.

the fire pits are not working, we booked this during cold weather exclusively for the fire pit and sea views, we need a part refund of the amount we paid since one of the amenities you mentioned is missing

Fabulous bathroom, rain shower, large tiles lovely huge bath towels. Mini golf included was great with easy walk nearby, The Beach Club nearby restaurant was excellent with easy walk after dinner drinks. Hotel Staff helpful & friendly. Disappointed with no lightning of out door patio gas fire pit, but seating comfy. Nice beach and water views. Loved the artificial green turf-keeps room cleaner, comfy patio chairs. Will book again but not high Summer rates. Loved full size frig and flat top burner, dishes, pots.

Our room was recently renovated and was a very comfortable room. Check in and out was smooth and efficient. Great location and good value for a family. Walking distance to restaurants and other tourist sites. Right on the beach and they give you free firewood with tables and beach volleyball net to have a wonderful family evening. Very close to an incredible playground for the kids.

Great place. Right on the water, fire pits too. Room was clean and spacious. Many food options near by within walking distance. Definitely be back in the future.

We loved being so near to the beach..friendly staff..using the the barbecue was hugh for us ..how have we miss Sea Edge..over 20 yrs off trips to parksville where son and grandson live...we will book again and tell friends.

They called and offered an upgrade in accommodations. I should have realized that when he said at no charge, that it was a bad idea. If I had not seen the "upgrade" I could have said, dirty but old so expected it to be run down. The old saying about you get what you pay for. The upgrade was what he called a cabin. Small kitchen, 2 bedrooms living room and dining area. Ground floor level small patio. I and my son could smell the odor before we opened the patio door. First thing I did was open the windows and patio door. I noticed in one bedroom a bedside lamp had been put on the table, not plugged in. When I went to plug it in I noticed heavy dust on the light bulb, which would get very hot if light on for any amount of time and may even start to burn. The shade had dust balls on it as well. We then decided we had to check the beds. One was seemed to be clean of bed bugs, and the other the same, but the bed skirt had terrible stains of I do not know what. The window sills were black with build of dust and mildew. The lamp in this room was also dusty. The bathroom was not clean with water marks on the tap and sink, looking like it was not cleaned. After you clean the sink everything should be sparkly. Behind the tap was black. Living room area was not cleaned very well or there would not be a "dice" just under the front of the fridge and dust bunnies under the table. New room looked nicer but again, a lot of dust and stains on duvet. handrail on stairs loose one side

We enjoyed the overnight stay , just a few things that require attention : The shower drain clogged The shower curtain was very pungent The bathroom vent was full of dust The front end staff was very kind & helpful Would we return ? Yes

Property undergoing renovations- noisy and dirty. The room was not clean- lots of dust and stains. Curtains were filthy. Finally, the sheets had stains on them. We did not stay.

The room was super clean. The service was excellent and friendly. And they accomodated a special request without hesitation. The room was really big.

yes the room was spotless, the staff were exceptionally supportive and the property was well equipped in every way. We have stayed there twice and will return. It is excellent value.

The hotel was clearly recently redone and was stunning! Everything was great and fresh and seemed brand new and super clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were so happy we chose to stay there!

Very comfy beds and tidy room, but did notice that it wasn’t as clean as it could have been! Dropped something under the bed and noticed lots of dust and dirt under there, as well as the bathroom floorboards and shower stall frame very dusty/dirty. The staff in office etc were very friendly and nice.would like to stay there again, hopefully it will be cleaner 🙂

Malheureusement, notre séjour au Sea Edge Motel a été très décevant. L’hôtel est en pleine rénovation et cela n’était pas précisé lors de la réservation. Tous les soirs vers 17 h, on entendait le bruit des perceuses et des travaux autour de nous. L’endroit ressemblait plus à un chantier qu’à un lieu de repos. Les chambres sont correctes, mais sans plus. Ce qui nous a le plus dérangés, c’est la vaisselle fournie dans la kitchenette : plusieurs morceaux étaient mal lavés. Une tasse avait encore des traces de rouge à lèvres et une autre était tachée de café séché. Nous avons dû tout laver nous-mêmes avant de pouvoir nous en servir. En résumé : un emplacement intéressant, mais l’ambiance actuelle et le manque de propreté gâchent complètement l’expérience. Je ne recommande pas tant que les rénovations ne seront pas terminées — et surtout, tant que le service de base (comme une vaisselle propre) ne sera pas assuré.

I like the updates they've done to this place. It looks nice and was very clean. I should note that the walls are thin so you can hear conversations occasionally but everyone was quiet by 10 or 11pm. The bathroom was really modern and classy and the kitchenette was super convenient and useful. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and worth the investment they must have made. That was the 5th star that overrode any minor issues.

We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, you can hear everything in the room above. Everything.

The location was great. We walked to several restaurants nearby. It sits right on the water. The motel provides picnic tables and a fire pit so you can sit outside and look at the ocean. The view was gorgeous. The room was nice and bathroom updated with cool led lite mirror. They provide you with a fan because no AC. My only complaint is i wish the sliding door had a screen so we could have slept with door open because no window to open and it happened to be a rare hot day.

Checking in went smoothly with friendly staff. Our room was recently upgraded with modern bathroom sink and shower, kitchen sink, and plenty of USB outlets. The patio doors to the balcony faced unobstructed into the beach and ocean. The room was very spacious and served us well.

Room was nicely modernized and the bed was very comfortable. The lack of air conditioning may be an issue to some but leaving the patio door open a bit allowed the cooler sea air do its job. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for less costly accommodations.

Beautiful view of the ocean. Steps to the beach. But the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbours say and do. Units have kitchens but no proper ventilation so the room smelt of food constantly.

Love the location. Only thing is the beds aren’t super comfortable and there’s no air conditioning, so it can get pretty warm especially on the 2nd floor.

The room was good, great view, bed was confortable. Bathroom was OK because the door was not working. Also the shower was leaking water outside of it and we found a spiderweb on the ceiling of the shower. But overall he had a good experience for just one night. Staff was helpful ans kind.

The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my beautiful bay view and proximity to the beach. However I didn’t realize from the property description that there’s no air conditioning. Several nights were very warm and there was no ventilation other than a portable fan.

Great place to stay, they are upgrading property, but that only interfered with parking lot. Enjoyed the comp mini golf. Check in was an hour later as our room was not ready yet, but they offered a later checkout the next day. Would stay here again.

Amazing customer service. Front desk was so helpful at check in. Anticipated my needs and questions before I even knew to ask. Were very accommodating with an early and late check in request. Rooms were great - had both a king suite and cabin and both were comfortable and well-equipped.

The room was super clean. The service was excellent and friendly. And they accomodated a special request without hesitation. The room was really big.

I booked 2 rooms, one of them with 2 beds and the other room with one bed. When I arrived, the guy at the desk said that both rooms only have one bed, I told him I booked one with 2 beds, he rudely said, no you only get one bed. Luckily there was a fold out couch for my brother. It was my niece bday party, or I would of gone somewhere else. No offer of a discount or any explanation. We realized that half of the motel was getting renovated. I doubt I will ever go back there. A few of the other people for the party had their rooms mixed up as well. Bad communication, not impressed.

We have stayed several.times before with no issues. This time we were woken up by people partying below us until 3 am.With no staff on duty over night I feel that the people took advantage of knowing that. Nothing was done

The front desk Chris was very nice but the really nice thing was that they called us shortly after we got settled, they called on the house phone just to check and see if we were happy with their room! Basically a QUALITY CHECK! I have never had a quality check at a hotel or motel before, restaurants yes but a motel, never. Very nice thank you Sea Edge, everything was great we will be back!

This facility has been recently renovated. Rooms are nicely appointed. The beach views are stunning. A very walkable location with many amenities nearby. We would stay again.

Excellent place to stay. Clean and the upgrades are beautiful. Attention to detail and care. The bedding is wonderful quality with the rooms being very spacious including a well stocked kitchen, leather couch, and a beautiful view of the ocean. There is an amazing place to hang out with a well stocked, coffee bar, pool table, even putting green, leather chairs and games. Will definitely be returning. Wish there was a hot tub though. There has been a great deal of attention to making your stay comfortable and enjoyable in this location

Check in was easy. Room was clean with a great view of the beach. Walls were a little marked up, looked like there may have been a headboard at one point. Table was scratched up. Personally didn’t bother me at all. Newer tap in kitchen sink and bathroom updated. Best coffee I have ever had in any hotel/motel/resort that I have stayed in. I plan to revisit in a month and bring my little dog. Great value for the price. You can’t go wrong staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay, such a beautiful view to wake up to from our lovely room. Also appreciated the any-time coffee in the common room off the lobby. Free mini golf next door was a bonus :)

Friendly staff upon arrival, clean rooms, and a great location. If you’ve stayed here before, you’ll notice some nice upgrades and renovations. I’m giving an average rating because my first room had a strong cigarette and musty odor, which surprised me since it was newly renovated. I initially tried to tolerate it, but it triggered a bad headache. Thankfully, the staff were very accommodating and quickly moved me to another room that smelled much better. Five stars to the team for their prompt and helpful service. I was also disappointed to learn the property is no longer dog-friendly, as I often travel for work and prefer to bring my dog (though I didn’t on this trip). Lastly, the lobby doesn’t open until 8 a.m., and the main coffee machine is located there. Since my day started early, I missed out on a morning coffee before i checked out. There are in-room coffee machines, but they appear quite dated, and I wasn’t comfortable using them. Overall, a decent stay with excellent staff support, but a few issues impacted my experience.

Amazingly convenient rooms. Had unexpected amenities. The kitchen was easy to use and took up less space than I had imagined - didn’t notice it at all while relaxing in the room. And so so quiet! We never heard anyone coming or going. The only down side was that I would rather have paid extra for better coffee choices.
