What an adorable little vintage motel! First of all, the owners are so kind and friendly! The room itself was adorable. Basic in terms of decor but nicely appointed. Extremely clean and stocked with bathing necessities and an awesome hair dryer! Comfy bed, quiet safe room and location. Loved it! Room was small so best for a couple but excellent location off 5 freeway. The community kitchen was a cool concept- coffee maker, small fridge, and stove to cook your own food if you wish. Thank you for a great stay!

A gem in beautiful San Clemente! Owners are very warm and welcoming. Renovated rooms with a wonderful beach theme and easy parking. The free trolley to the pier (with very friendly drivers) stops nearby. Only here overnight but we’ll be back!

It was a little retro and super cute, well maintained, clean. We felt safe and it had a cute little court yard. The owners were so sweet and accommodating. Great location. We will certainly stay there again if the opportunity arises! They did a beautiful and fun job in updating the property. Fun color scheme, nice and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend!

Pros: Safe area Easy parking Kitchen area open til 10pm Blow dryer, lotion, shampoo & conditioner, packs of shaving cream are for use. Cons: The property is next to a main street which stayed busy throughout the evening and could affect your sleeping if you're a light sleeper. I did find hairs and stains on my linens and also a hair on my face towels so that was a bit concerning. I advised front desk, they offered to change the sheets but I was too tired. They advised they dont use commercial washers for their linens, just ones in the back of house. The towels are very basic, smaller sized and generic. They charge $25 if you use the white face towels and make-up gets on them. Also, they require a $200 deposit upon check in, they run it for the full amount, its not a soft hold. They do not take debit cards, apple pay or anything other than a major credit card. All in all, its whats expected from a low star motel.

Really super place to stay. The owners were really welcoming. It’s an old style motel which has been redone in a fresh contemporary style. It was very quiet and felt very safe. Everything was super clean. Nice place for breakfast called Sugar Shack is just next door. Easy access to pier and local bars, restaurants without any noise from being too close. Ideal. 100% recommended

This place is amazing. Perfect location, always smells super clean as soon as you walk in the door. The rooms are updated and spotless. They owners are very friendly and make you feel welcome. This is my second time staying here and I will continue to go back.

the property was nice and staff was very hospitable and friendly but the worst bathroom. The shower head was below drain as a result water did not go down and you ended up washing in your own pile of water. Nasty, I did not want a bath. Either moved the shower head for easy flow or move the drain.

The unit was small but clean & neat. The A/C wall unit was not able to be adjusted and was therefore either ON or OFF. When ON it was programmed for 61 degrees. The FAN was not adjustable so it was full blast & very noisy. Quickly got too cold. When OFF the room became too warm and stuffy very quickly. Absent but desired amenities were a chair & desk--& hot water pot for tea/coffee or hot chocolate.

Really cool spot. For the money, totally worth it and I’d go back. Compromises are that the room and bed are small, the window shutters still let in a decent amount of light (could be easily fixed with curtains) and sound deadening could be better as I heard a considerable amount of road noise and talking from the outside. Positives are a spacious and nice shower, parking right outside of the room, and they included small travel deodorant for men and women which was a nice touch, though being honest the star of the show here was value. If you’re really comfort focused maybe paying extra elsewhere makes more sense, but if you’re in town for a day or two and plan to sleep/shower up and be on your way this is a good option. No issues with cleanliness or service at all.

The hotel is very clean, updated with modern fixtures (excellent shower!), comfortable bed and the manager is very helpful. The rooms are smaller, as was customary when it was built, but this is one of the best remodels I've ever seen of motels from that era. Also, a huge TV! The heater/air conditioner is loud, but if you can get past that, you'll have a clean, pleasant and affordable stay.

I had a great experience at this hotel! The location was super convenient, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. They even upgraded our room, which was such a nice surprise. The entire space smelled fresh and was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay and it was a great value! The front desk staff were so polite and helpful, they offered us snacks and gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Our room was clean, well stocked, and had a really cute theme. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the downtown area with tons of cool shops and restaurants. We slept well and check out was a breeze.

Really super place to stay. The owners were really welcoming. It’s an old style motel which has been redone in a fresh contemporary style. It was very quiet and felt very safe. Everything was super clean. Nice place for breakfast called Sugar Shack is just next door. Easy access to pier and local bars, restaurants without any noise from being too close. Ideal. 100% recommended

A gem in beautiful San Clemente! Owners are very warm and welcoming. Renovated rooms with a wonderful beach theme and easy parking. The free trolley to the pier (with very friendly drivers) stops nearby. Only here overnight but we’ll be back!

It was a little retro and super cute, well maintained, clean. We felt safe and it had a cute little court yard. The owners were so sweet and accommodating. Great location. We will certainly stay there again if the opportunity arises! They did a beautiful and fun job in updating the property. Fun color scheme, nice and tastefully decorated. Highly recommend!

Really cool spot. For the money, totally worth it and I’d go back. Compromises are that the room and bed are small, the window shutters still let in a decent amount of light (could be easily fixed with curtains) and sound deadening could be better as I heard a considerable amount of road noise and talking from the outside. Positives are a spacious and nice shower, parking right outside of the room, and they included small travel deodorant for men and women which was a nice touch, though being honest the star of the show here was value. If you’re really comfort focused maybe paying extra elsewhere makes more sense, but if you’re in town for a day or two and plan to sleep/shower up and be on your way this is a good option. No issues with cleanliness or service at all.

We had a wonderful stay and it was a great value! The front desk staff were so polite and helpful, they offered us snacks and gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. Our room was clean, well stocked, and had a really cute theme. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the downtown area with tons of cool shops and restaurants. We slept well and check out was a breeze.

I have stayed here multiple times and it’s awesome. This place is perfect if you’re looking for a low key San Clemente place with great location for the beach, golf course, or some place near, but not too close, to downtown. The owners are tremendous and always seem to have a good group of folks staying here. I don’t know what you call the hang out out spot in front, but it’s a cool/funky place to chill out at the end of a day. Next time I go, especially if it’s during August, I’m bringing a telescope. 😀
