Gästehaus Sieben Zimmer am See

Straaange hotel! Normally, I’m not one for writing reviews, but this time I feel the need to give you a heads up before you spend your hard earned money. When we arrived the reception was hard to find as it is in another hotel called Schlossblick across the street. Your rooms however are above another restaurant across the parking lot and through a stinking garbage place. To get there you need to enter the back of a restaurant. The rooms had a beautiful view, but where old and not so clean. It is a good bed, but it was hard to fall asleep as the rooms are on top of a restaurant, and the loud music is easy to hear through the thin walls. At night could also hear the staff from the restaurant doing the dishes until midnight. The breakfast is at the other hotel across the garbage street. This was my highlight, as it was a broad selection of food and all of it were really tasteful! Chimsee itself is a strange place. The lake is beautiful, where I strongly would recommend renting a boat. However, I realized we had not done enough research about this place, as it turned out to be the hot center for psychiatric clinics in Europe. All in all, Chimsee is nice for a short visit. But choose another hotel.

Mycket svårt att hitta, ingen skylt förutom gömd mot parkeringen.

Everything was great except having to go into the stairwell landing to get to the bathroom. Have not experienced this since the 1970s.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Frühstück. Das Zimmer war genau nach unseren Geschmack. Personal schnell und freundlich. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, aber erst in 2 Jahren da wir selbst ein Berggasthaus in der Schweiz haben und 7 Tage die Woche geöffnet haben.
