Very uncomfortable check in process. We didn’t arrive late at night but the entire transaction happened through a tiny window in the door. The attendant was rude and impatient. He called the room to tell me I couldn’t back my car into the parking space and had to turn around. He claims to sell discounted safari tickets but you have to pay cash. Appearantly it’s a side hustle. The first room smelled like cigarette smoke so I asked for another room. Everything is very old and worn down. I would not come back. Worse of all I’m now getting persistent calls from a person with a Eugene number who sounds just like the hotel manager. He’s trying to convince me that there is a security threat to my computer and he will help me secure my passwords. Stay at your own risk and beware of identity theft.

We stayed overnight at The Safari Inn because it is very close to Wildlife Safari and it was going to be a late night at the Zoobilee. Check-In was easy, friendly and I received confirmation as soon as it was booked. The room was clean, but a little dated. Everything worked, but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. It was a little noisy from other tenants. You can hear every conversation through the walls, outside and upper floors.

My opinion, this is the bottom tier of budget motels. The property is aged although there appears to have been some attempt at improving it. Still the room smells of something worse than mold, mold is in the bathroom, toilet barely flushed, carpet was torn and patched, and the list could go on. It sits in a strange location in what appears to be a poor residential area about a block from town. Cars speed on the street outside the window. Not what I had expected based on other reviews.

The staff is amazing. The rooms are very simple. Old and kind of dirty but not horrendous. It's a good place to stay over night but not like hangout at if that makes sense. Great for the price for sure. Convenient as heck for going to the safari.

I did not find any obvious dirt or hair or anything that would suggest it was not a clean room. Bedding and towels were clean. The bed was a bit stiff for me but I did sleep well. There was a lot of outside noise but I had good ear plugs. The owner saved our room even though we arrived after the close of registration. We called the office even later to ask for the Wifi code. No problem

Beds were comfortable, check in was fast and easy. Room was not the cleanest, had a sticker on the toilet telling you how to flush it. Headboards needed a good dusting. Found some random toys in a couple of the dresser drawers. There was mold marks behind the toilet and some of the walls were dirty , almost looks like they were smoking rooms in the past and they tried to clean them.

The room had everything we needed (microwave, fridge…). Comfortable beds, table… The motel is a bit old but clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and helpful. The wifi was slow or didn’t work properly.

It was clean just outdated. Bed was very comfy. Room was very large and empty. The set up of the room needs more thought put into it. Had to move coffee maker to floor to be able to use a plug for it to work. I would stay again.

The desk agent was fantastic. I was concerned that I wouldn't arrive by 9 pm so I called. The agent assured me he would take care of me. I arrived on time so no worries but he was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the heat in the room did not work. It blew cold air all night. Also, I was "unable to join" the wifi network. I did have a good night's sleep. The bed was comfortable and a fridge and microwave were provided.

The staff is very very helpful. Not only did they go out of their way to fix stuff in the room for us, but my daughter left her favorite baby blanket there and they were more than happy to mail it to us. Thank you so much!

Nice small town hotel. We got to town late so we called hotel and they had someone waiting to check us in after hours and make sure are room was ok. A/C worked good and bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

It was ok for a motel. Not really family friendly. It’s ok to stay if you’re just using it for sleeping. I wouldn’t want to hang out there. It hasn’t been updated but it’s clean. The back window faces a street leading to a neighborhood so there’s some street noise.

The room was clean, but a bit outdated. The staff were super kind and friendly. Our room was closest to the road, so the road noise was a bit loud. Overall for the price I would stay here again, but maybe ask for a room farther in next time.

The room was clean, but a bit outdated. The staff were super kind and friendly. Our room was closest to the road, so the road noise was a bit loud. Overall for the price I would stay here again, but maybe ask for a room farther in next time.

Owner Rick manages his SAFARI INN (Exit 119 off Interstate I-5) exceptionally well. I was a solo elderly female traveler on a budget looking for safe, clean, non-smoking, comfortable lodging for the two days I would be visiting the famous 53-year-old, 680-acre Wildlife Safari conservation & rare species park, located less than 2 quick miles from the Inn. Arrived late (nearly 10 PM because I'd driven straight from Nanaimo City, Victoria Island, British Columbia, Canada. I'd reserved my room previously. Rick, happy to see me, welcomed me, charged me only when I actually arrived. Ample parking directly in front of my room. The door is securely locked digitally. Comfortable, King-size bed, free WiFi, well-stocked w/ ground coffee coffee maker. Convenient light switches within easy reach, two bedside lamps, Round dining table w/ two comfortable upholstered armchairs. Desk with lamp & upholstered desk chair. Tall dresser holding TV with ample drawers. main room has tall wall size mirror for full view of yourself. Carpet is fresh-smelling. Lots of hot water. Bathroom w/ shower-full size tub. Separate dressing space w/ large mirror, daylight bright light, hair dryer, sink w/ roomy counter for toiletries. Lots of clean white cotton towels. Lots of hot water. Altho Inn is located on main street, street noise was minimal; sleep environment was quiet both nights. Highly recommend and would stay here again when I visit Winston, Oregon.

This was my second stay at the Safari Inn. Both times the owners are very friendly and nice. The motel is very well kept and comfortable.
