The elevator was not working.

It was under construction but we had no issues. Breakfast was good .

I want to let you know that the staff was very friendly and attentive. They were easily the best part of the trip. However, the hotel itself is very tired and worn out. We went for the solar eclipse and it appeared that this small town hotel was very overwhelmed. The first room we received was in the very back of the hotel where we had to take an elevator and climb a flight of stairs. The end of the hallway was blocked off with a large piece of plywood for renovations. When we entered the room, the beds were not made, the TV was blaring and the bathroom was filthy. The gentleman at the front desk was very apologetic and quickly moved us to another room. It was clean, but worn out. The tub in the bathroom was stained some sort of bluish color, the television only partly worked, and the pool was not open for our trip. I will note that the desk clerk did take a small amount off our bill for the inconvenience of moving rooms, however we were paying well over $250 per night for this hotel due to eclipse prices. Hopefully this hotel will be in much better shape once they complete the renovations, but for now, I would either stay a little further south in Waxahachie or head up the DFW area for a more comfortable stay.

Even though it's right next to I-35, it was quiet in the room. Property is under remodeling, it needs some. They had just installed a new floor in bathroom and didn't hook up toilet properly. Leaked overnight. Many other rooms were being worked on. Might be better in a month or two.

Construction, wallpaper left on the floor and the smell was terrible at times. I know it couldn’t be helped.

The pool wasn't available, the phone in the room did not work, the closet door was broken at the bottom, only outlets were on the lamps and one by the door.

Beds were pulled out of rooms and just left in the hall ways, looks like they were remodeling and just left everything out in the open looked like a mess.

My girls and I stayed here for a softball tournament. The sofa bed was so incredibly disgusting. My girls said it looked like a murder had taken place on that mattress. We killed a roach in the bathroom and the faucet in the bathroom was rusted and nasty.

When i first checked in i got 2 rooms. Tbe first room walked in noticed there was no counter or shelf in bathroom. Next room walked in and there was peoples stuff in it. Went to the desk they changed my room. There was DIRT ON THE SHEETS ON THE BED. the couch in the room was ripped and the bed in the fold out was strained. Woke up to take a shower in the first room noticed BLACK MOLD ALL ON THE FLOOR IN THE SHOWER AND THE BOTTOM OF THE WALLS. Talked to the dest and the guy said he would change my room so i got all my stuff out and put it in my other room. Left for the day came back and the guy never changed it. So i was going to cancel my rooms and leave but some how even tho the rooms was ALL BOOKED. a room opens up. They cleaned it and i got the room. Then noticed i was charged 2 times but it was taken care of and it was dropped. I wish i would have taken pictures!

Nice employees. Could have been cleaner - sofa was dirty and dirty clothes were found in the closet. Bathroom lighting was very dim, water pressure in bathroom sink was weak, and shower floor (bathtub) was very slippery. Facility is being remodeled, and it’s really needed.

Our bath tub was not cleaned out, the sink was leaking enough to leave a puddle underneath when using it, and the air conditioning unit was so loud we barely got any sleep. I understand renovations are being made but a dirty tub?

I was disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and not properly working features. The bathroom faucet splashes water everywhere needs a washer, on it there was no toilet seat cover. Upon entering the hotel smells like the washers are stale and spoiled. There were bugs in the room. I was not able to secure valuables in the safe. The shower curtain was not appropriate for the shower rod; water was all over the floor. The curtains did not close all the way had to get clips from the front desk to close them. The trash cans everywhere were overflowing and towels left on the ground in the hallway tacky. Room not very clean can use better care. The water line to the toilet is rusted and mold around the base of the tub. The ONE nightly staff was very friendly Kelly and did ask if someone had come to fix the problems as she did leave word of the problems but could not give me another room as they were allegedly sold out. When checking out I spoke to the clerk about the issues and the "Manager" sat right there and did not say a word and when I asked her was she the manager she replied yes and I said to her so you have nothing to say and her response was you already said you were going to call corporate so I let the clerk handle it?? She did not care needs retraining immediately as I could have been from corporate there to see how they handle situations she did not have any concern??

We stayed here for a softball tournament. So we stayed from Friday night check-in and Sunday morning Check-out. I must say the check-in/Check-out was easy due to the front desk clerk. She was the only positive part of this stay. We stayed in room 104. As soon as we opened the door the room had a horrible order. The floors were dirty and the bathroom odor was worse than the room. The chair and ottoman in the room were nasty. We wouldn't even sit on the chair. The bathroom floor was just as dirty as the room floor. To get mask the smell we had to buy room deodorizer and spray the room. I went to take a shower and I was greeted by dead cockroaches. A used bar of soap was left in the shower. The fan in the bathroom the motor was burnt up and it left a smell and the cover to it was leaned up on the wall. Seems to me the room service needs to be double checked behind. I showered with flip flops. To my surprise the bed was very clean and comfortable. The side tables were sticky from what looked like food. The breakfast Saturday morning we didn't get to try due to the front desk clerk having to prepare because the person over this called in. This morning we go in for breakfast and there is plenty. The bad part is the person in charge of the breakfast was rude. She was flirting with a guest and complained about the other guest. She was mad to have to do her job and complaining about, "These Damn People" meaning the guest. I could go on but not enough space

My husband and I stayed here for a night. The next morning, I was taking a shower. There was a discarded female item left in the shower. When I checked out, I shared that I had found the item in the shower. No, I did not touch it or remove it. The manager was there and I was told that she was on the phone and would call me. She never, ever did!

Room is dirty, hole in the couch, stains on the couch and bedding

I checked in with my family, went to the room, and went back to the front desk and checked out. The tub had stains, the sink was grungy, and it had a moldy smell. The carpet in the hallways was filthy. There were creepy guys hanging around outside, and the area looked seedy. I called Hotels.com and shared all of this with them. They confirmed with the manager that I checked out and never stayed. I was told that my money (over $300+) would be credited to my card within a few days. That was two weeks ago. I’ve not received the email from Hotels.com regarding this issue as they stated. I’ve not received my refund. Hotels on this website are misleading in some cases. This was my real experience.

The room and bathroom were not updated/renovated as the website had reported.

It’s difficult to keep an older property looking new and polished. It’s clear the staff is doing everything they can but the property is in desperate need of some serious work. The tub in my room is missing porcelain, and the sink has several major cracks. I spent three nights on the property. The couch in my room, which makes into a bed has cushions that need to be replaced with stains and patchwork. The room has missing lightbulbs or bulbs that need to be replaced because they don’t work. The staff is kind and helpful.

The pool area looked nice, but we didn’t have time to use it. The continental breakfast was fine. The front desk people were friendly and prompt. The only thing was the shower curtain. Wouldn’t close up on either side. Just the way the bar was hanging didn’t allow for it to close. Wasn’t a big deal. Just had to put some towels down so that the floor didn’t get soaked. The shower pressure was excellent! :) beds were comfy and we slept well

Terrible internet; uncomfortable beds.

We stayed at this hotel checked in at 10:30 pm due to air conditioning problems at a previous location, to find this hotel room was cooling much either. The hotel was a little wore down compared to most comfort Inn, but to beds were comfortable.

Walls are very thin, heard screaming throughout night. Heard another room's TV. Didn't clean room after first night. Bed was ok. Shower pressure ok

I stayed for almost two weeks in the hotel. The property is older, however it is getting the upgrade that it deserves, The ongoing renovation comes with some inconveniences but the management and staff compensates for it. The location is spot on with restaurants, grocery and gas station within the vicinity. Parking was never a problem. I appreciate the availability of fresh coffee and water infused with lemon 24/7. I stayed both in the standard room and suite room. The AC worked well and the bed is fairly comfortable. If you prefer a slightly elevated experience, booking the Suite room is a good choice. It is very spacious and feels "homey" specially if your staying longer. The hotel may be lacking in some amenities but the real gem of this property are the people who serves to make your stay comfortable. They deserve 5 stars.... Appreciate the staff from the from the front desk, Zander and Mariah (always ready to assist); hard working and beautiful housekeeping women (Lucina, Nataly and Hanah), very friendly maintenance crew and the women who prepares breakfast.... Thank you so much... Shout out to the Manager Ms. Trini who generously upgraded our room when our preferred room was not available. The hotel has great potential. Im looking forward to stay again and see the finish work of the renovation.

Check In was super easy. The desk clerk was very professional, polite, and friendly. There were lots of places to eat close by. Construction on the road in front was terrible but that is not the hotel’s fault. Room was clean and smelled nice.

Our overall stay was okay. It had everything we needed for a couple nights stay as we were going to Scarborough Faire which wasn’t far from the hotel. We didn’t mind the renovations but I thought our rooms could be a little cleaner (a few stains here and there) and before we left we saw a small cockroach 😬

We stayed at this hotel over night because of a nearby softball tournament. The hotel seems to be under some sort of renovation. I think once they are complete it will help. The hotel is definitely older so the remodel is needed. The air conditioning in the room we stayed in barely worked but my brothers across the hall froze them out. The staff was friendly so that was a plus. The hotel was completely booked so I didn’t want to complain with no room available to be moved to. Overall we made due for one night but will likely not return at least until the renovation is complete if at all.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the staff. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. What was not great was the construction noises waking us up at 6 am on a Saturday, the weed smell everywhere, the grime on all of the outlets and bathroom facilities, the smoke alarm going off (probably from people smoking weed), the pathetic excuse for a breakfast, and the like 2 channels to choose from on the TV. At least spring for basic cable if your guests are gonna be forced awake by beeping construction machinery and hammering. I would never have chosen this hotel if I had known about the construction.

The hotel was not what the photos suggested at all. It was in very poor condition and upon checking in it was very slow. Once we were checked in we were sent to a room that the clerk said was ready but it wasn't cleaned from the previous guests. The people in the room next to us had music blasting during the day which wasn't an issue until we returned from a outing and dinner which was around 10 pm and the music was still blaring. At this point I called the front desk and told them of the situation and it was resolved. The next morning we went downstairs for the breakfast buffet which was horrible! Hard biscuits, runny gravy, cold eggs and soggy potatoes not to mention the breakfast room was very small not very clean and had a smell of mold which could be smelled throughout the facility!! Will never return or recommend! 😡

Had a very pleasant experience. We stayed here because my husband was staying here as a new Schneider employee going through their training. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly & helpful & the breakfast was very good!

The continental breakfasts was really good

Evidently the hotel was under construction. There were places where the carpet was missing but the staff was nice. I second day when I went for breakfast there was no bacon and they did not seem like they were going to being out more. The towels in thew bathroom were threadbare in spots and the light only seem to have one bulb in each light despite having a place for 2 bulbs. It seemed very dard in the the room.

Room really clean, disinfectant-smell clean, comfy bedding, great front-desk service, good breakfast kitchen-culture.
